And before anybody becomes a smart aleck and says "Doctor" i've already been, hence why i'm on the pill. Though i wouldn't mind the Doctor before this one having a look at me; Tennent is so hot, expecially with his real accent ^.^ |

I'd say a nice hot bath and maybe make a ritual of it but I can't be assed to take a bath when I'm "enjoying" that particular "benefit" of womanhood. I very non-magickally pop a few extra strength pain relievers and sleep as much as possible during that time. |
This time the painkillers aren't hitting it. My microwavable bunny-rabbit isn't looking so good; kinda lost some colour. He was purple ^.^ heat's the only thing that's working so far. I blame the Jobcentre; i'm under so much stress from them lately, maybe it's aggravated it or something. Ah well.
As for The Doctor . . . Doctor Who? Please tell me you've heard of that show, if you haven't then that's entirely criminal! O.O |
I find that a heating pad works pretty well when my cramps are really bad. Not the most convenient this time of year, but it does a lot to relieve my pain...

Monthly pain can be helped with heat and lavender. also some light meditation, concentrating on relaxing the effected muscles. A massager on your stomach could help too. And there's one more thing but... It's not pg. |

Not much. Just more being board at work. I'm trying to feel more spiritual but working for who I do (morally corrupt lazy stupid pains in the bum) it saps me. I'll try again on my day off.
I need a purification bath but we only have a shower. Oh well, at least I got to go conker collecting on the way home. I have a whole hat full. |
I hate to admit it, but i had FUN signing on at the Jobcentre today! Got there and the grill was down over the front doors, thought i couldn't get in. Then saw the two A4 sheets of type saying that for health and safety reasons the front entrance is not in use for the duration of the wind storms, and to use the side entrance. after a lot of running about trying to find it i got in and found that inside is all chaos cuz people are walking through right and left to get to the front of the building to sign on.
When i asked apparently someone was walking to the front door earlier in the morning and a small chunk on concrete was blown off the roof and either onto or narrowly missing their head. Poor sod. Joke made my day too though lol. and i totally agree, though being on my time-of-month at the full moon kinda makes up for it; i'm casting little glamours everywhere i go ^.^ |

I'll be going out soon to collect some oak leaves and the acorns. It's getting to that time of year, plus i have a willow rod that i'll probably start turning into a wand; project for the winter months you know?
I need to buy a new knife though, my old one broke. |
I'm very interested in wand crafting.
I picked up a book on it called Wandlore. Since Border's is sadly, going out of business.. I got it for a song. The first wand I want to make will be for my mom. She's not an active, practicing pagan but she tries. |
That's sweet, and probably one of the best reasons to make one. Be sure to think of her while you do ^.^
I've done some research on crafting them, and the stick i'll be using i found on the ground - twas actually part of a willow sculpture but the thing was still alive so counts doesn't it - because some kids had torn it up. I collected some of the sticks for use in spellcraft. The bigger ones are still at Luke's house but the smallest - bout 2ft long i think - is with me. |
Definitely counts in my book. Some folks are picky about it but I'm easy going. Heck you could get a rod from a hardware store. It's still wood and it's about what you infuse into it as your crafting it. The energy you put into making it that matters most. Sure it would be great to form a bond with the tree because then you know where it's coming from but not doing that isn't a deal breaker.

True. I find that as long as you haven't gone out and actively cut the tree then it's ok. As long as you respect where it came from it's all good.
A wand is a great gift ^_^ I don't know where mine's gone lol. Not that I use it. |

I have a catnip pillow somewhere, it's got a picture of two lion cubs on it, so cute. But there's barely any catnip inside it, it's 99% cotton stuffing at a guess, no smell. Pretty though, and maybe i'll pick open one of the seams to put some in and sew it back up one day. at the minute it's just a knick-knack decoration.

How's everyone feel about prosperity spells? My mom is getting ready to do something along those lines and I really don't approve. Especially since she's not being very proactive in MAKING things happen. She just wants to plant her little plant and for things to fall in her lap.

That's not the way to go about it. A spell doesn't make things magickally appear before you, it's just a catalyst, something that helps you to focus your thoughts and concentrate on your goal, but you still have to put effort into getting it. It just makes it that little bit more likely if you do try for whatever your goal is.
I'm all for prosperity spells, so long as you keep in mind that the money has to come from somewhere and you may not like the place it comes from, such as a deceased loved one. Like with any spell, you have to be careful. It's why my last employment spell didn't work so good; i didn't put the effort in. I know where the fault lay then, me. Hopefully this one won't go the same way ^.^ |
Gallows is 100% correct. She should try a luck or opportunity spell instead. Those work much better.
Prosperity spells are about being happy in the new home you've just bought, or the new job you've just started not for just making your life better. :) |
