Sweet! I wish you all the best of course! :) I'm sure you'll do great. Hmmm time for me to call my mom. She's alone since my bro went off to some odd country for a week. I'll bbl. See you later. :)

Dawn 05-22-2012 08:59 PM

Ah, I see.. Not sure I want to purchase virtual cards.

My mom comes back next week so I'll have quite a bit more freedom to go out and hunt down maybe a private game group or something.

Mizeria 05-22-2012 09:00 PM

ducky you can use the bat if you want too
^^

Ducky 05-23-2012 10:56 AM

There's a massive flaw in my shop, if i want to animate avatars. I don't have access to all the items, to save images of the individual poses within items without any white space around them D: I could use one of the item guides.
the animations i did of my own avatar we're done saving the things i wanted to animate separately from the avatar editing page

Dawn 05-23-2012 11:08 AM

I might be moving in with my friend, things are not working out living with my grandparents, my grandmother can end up too violent at times and there's too much of an age gap to make things work. My grandfather has already said something about me finding my own place and my friend confirmed I could stay with him. His nephew would love it.
I am waiting to talk things over with my mom before making it official cause I know she hated the thought of me moving to South Carolina but my friend only lives down the road so I would be nearby incase something happens.

And I got job interview tomorrow. XD

I hated when that happen.. I usually used the magic wand option to delete all the white but sometimes it doesn't work.

Ducky 05-23-2012 11:11 AM

So you're staying in Ayr?

the magic wand tends not to be a very accurate tool, i find. you can clear the majority of white, but then have to zoom in and clean up edges pixel by pixel x_x

Dawn 05-23-2012 11:29 AM

At the moment, yes.

I find that annoying myself.. <..< but doing a white color fill and doing magic wand again might help.

Ducky 05-23-2012 11:52 AM

Well, Mizzy has given my permission to ask for any item I may need in the course of animating an avatar >_< As she has most of them. Hopefully that will solve the majority of my issues.

Umaeril 05-23-2012 02:37 PM

Sounds complex Ducky. o_O

Ducky 05-23-2012 02:47 PM

yeah.. it's proving a little more confusing than I had expected. not sure the shop is a good idea to be honest >_<

Umaeril 05-23-2012 02:49 PM

So what are you doing anyhow, or supposed to do if I may ask? If too complicated to explain that is fine, I understand, and how is your day going?

Ducky 05-23-2012 03:17 PM

What I'm currently doing with my shop?

Umaeril 05-23-2012 03:29 PM

Yes, you seem to be a busy bee. You have a shop you want to open for animations on avatars? Or is that what you are doing for Tris?

Ducky 05-23-2012 03:31 PM

I have just opened a shop for animated avatars, and possibly other things if people ask and i think i can do it.

for tris I'm doing a sort of monthly video, like the Zanni update scroll thing but in a video format. Still not entirely sure what exactly they want the video like though.

Dawn 05-23-2012 05:16 PM

That's good to know and do you need help with Miz's blinking art? I could try my hand at editing it, I have been doing quite a bit of art with my mouse on Gimp and pretty sure I could rig something up to make the wink look natural.

Ducky 05-23-2012 05:19 PM

the point of the freebies i'm doing in there is to see what i can do myself, like if i want to be doing things more complex than avatars. Things like that art. If i can't make it look good myself then I wont be offering animations on art.
IF i can't do Mizzys myself i will stop, and she's welcome to ask you or someone else to do it.

Dawn 05-23-2012 05:24 PM

Alright, was just offering to give a little help. Hopefully you can do it on your own.

-chuckles- I'm not really looking at doing any animations really, if someone asks, than sure, I'll give it a whack. -stares hopelessly at the tablet laying under her bed- Don't even know why I bought one.. I more prefer my mouse.. D: Been thinking of seeing what I could get for it at the local pawn dealer.. brand new..

Ducky 05-23-2012 05:26 PM

I have the smoothness of the animation down fine, it's just getting the eyelid to look the correct shape that's stopping me. and the fact the person isn't looking anywhere in particular and looks silly blinking >_<

Umaeril 05-24-2012 07:18 PM

I see, so you are creating a video. Are you a video artist?

Ducky 05-25-2012 08:02 AM

Nope. I'm just a regular guy with a small bit of video experience and a lot of free time :D

Umaeril 05-25-2012 07:07 PM

I'll look forward to seeing what you do. Anyhow, what are you up to this weekend there? Is it getting warm now there?

Ducky 05-25-2012 07:58 PM

I've been out playing ultimate frisbee and baseball a lot lately because the weather is crazy ho for Scotland :D We also discovered a flat building has roof access, so we've had a picnic and a barbecue up on the roof overlooking the city.

finally going to go see the Avengers tomorrow as well, which is very late coming D:

Umaeril 05-25-2012 09:52 PM

Wow yeah I was wondering if you all were getting warm there. I almost wrote "ya'll" but the I wondered if that might sound odd to you. What do you think? If I said "ya'll" what would you think?

Ducky 05-25-2012 09:59 PM

In British media y'all is often used to represent the 'redneck' stereotype. I personally don't see it that way as I know a fair amount of Americans who say it, to the point where i do sometimes as well.

Umaeril 05-25-2012 10:02 PM

You do, how curious. I wonder if I could understand you. Do you ever have difficulty understanding Americans? Anyhow, I am glad you get to see Avengers tomorrow. I want to see it again. Will you watch in 3D?

Ducky 05-26-2012 05:59 AM

I'm sure you would be able too. there's not much in the way of a language barrier. Just some things phrased differently, and different names. As for accents, i can understand most american ones because i've been exposed to a lot.

Umaeril 05-26-2012 10:36 AM

I have not been exposed to a lot of Scottish accents, English yes as one of my old bf's was English and I have been there 3x so I got used to it. Frankly, I have difficulty with some of the deep south accents here. The really twangy ones. Hard to make out what they are saying. I have a California accent.

Ducky 05-26-2012 11:01 AM

My parents are English, and the mix of Scottish and that has produced a very simple and understandable accent for me. to people here I even sound somewhat american, in comparison to locals.

Angel Spirit Girl 05-26-2012 09:56 PM

Ya'll is a very Southern thing to say.

Accents are fun. Brian Jaques' Redwall novels even have animals doing accents.

Ducky 05-27-2012 11:34 AM

I use to love Redwall <3

And here's my accent if you're interested >_< Very awkward me.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6egWYpuH5E

Umaeril 05-28-2012 10:57 AM

"Omg the air is full of sparkles...everywhere...awesome!"

Hehe, wow you are super cute. If I were your age I would have a crush on you but luckily for you I am happily married. And like twice your age, lmao. :D Seriously though, you are amazing. You must have a ton of gf's. I love your accent and I had no trouble understanding you at all, you do sound rather American actually.

Ya'll is southern, true, from my years spent in Nashville.

Ducky 05-28-2012 11:02 AM

Well, thank you very much! n_n <3 But you're very much wrong on the gf front. Only ever had the one here in Scotland, then there's Nexess right now who's in Canada D:

I'm a very bad representation of the Scottish accent, or general British accent.

Umaeril 05-28-2012 11:10 AM

Yeah, I have to say your accent is very light. But you are just adorable, am I allowed to say that? I think you'll have a lot of success with girls in the future. So wow, no poptarts? I wonder why? *immensely puzzled* Do you have a toaster or do you just eat them from the packet? And how are you doing today? Any success with your animations?

Ducky 05-28-2012 11:15 AM

The scottish-ness comes out a lot more when I'm tired. a lot deeper and such.
I didn't have success with girls because i was an outcast due to my interests. y personality didn't mean anything when i did and liked 'weird' things :P

We have kelloggs cereal products over here, so I really don't see why poptarts have never made it. I know that Asda, a supermarket owned by Walmart, sells at least 4 flavours now. We also don't have lucky charms, fruit loops, apple jacks etc.
I prefer to eat the more fruity ones cold, but toast the chocolate/sweet ones.

Well, I haven't had any requests in my shop since the first day, so things are going slow in regards to animations.

Umaeril 05-28-2012 11:31 AM

What could be these interests that made you outcast? You have intrigued me. what weird things?

No fruit loops, no lucky charms!!! Good gracious! *appalled* You must have other things to compensate. Like...well can't think of anything right off the top of my head.

No requests? Hmmmm. I wonder why. This seems like an active site.

Ducky 05-28-2012 11:42 AM

I lived on a very small island, so the community had a very set load of specifications for you to be 'normal'. there was very little in the way of diversity. the only things that were okay to use the internet for were google, facebook, MSN etc. any sites like this, and others were frowned upon. I also listen to a lot of metal, and other genres that weren't accepted there. My clothing style was the same.. and so on.

We have some cereals you don't have, and many other foods. I would also say I prefer our cereal over things like Lucky Charms and fruit loops. They're more like candy than a cereal.. not what i want in the morning

I guess animations just aren't in demand, and I'm not really known to the majority of the site yet, so that can't help much either.

Umaeril 05-28-2012 11:49 AM

That must have been a strain on you. To be different and to want to express yourself in the face of people who frowned on anything different. Wow, that must have actually been kind of crushing at times. At least that is over now, right? Were you at boarding school or something?

I need something for my sig...I could get one of your animations maybe!! I'll check out your prices.

Ducky 05-28-2012 11:52 AM

It was pretty awful. a whole 18 years of it. I was different in pretty much every way possible.
I was at regular public school.

Oh.. I don't actually have prices yet :P I've done some freebies, got more examples, and now I need to set up a proper order form.

Ducky 05-28-2012 11:53 AM

damn bad internet making me double post...

Umaeril 05-28-2012 11:58 AM

I posted in your thread. Perhaps we can think of something to do with one of my avatars. We can talk about that there.

18 years on an island. That would suck. *pats you sympathetically* Well that is all over and done. Life move on, now you can do something different, right?
