Probably be expensive too. More likely just purified buckets with cloths/sponges really.

Funkduder 07-06-2011 10:33 PM

Exactly my thought.

Serra Britt 07-06-2011 10:52 PM

I feel a little bad but I'm going to have to puppet Jeanne a bit on my next post.

Salone 07-06-2011 11:57 PM

Well, the description says it's harmful if swallowed. But nothing about harmful when in contact. It's s a (sexy) dance with death, but it could possibly be done?

Meh, Lev would do it. Set him on fire, he'll go for a shower then.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-06-2011 11:57 PM

Okay, moved us ahead. Funk, any plans on what we should do next? Given the way the rest of them just took off into the sewers without a word, Shealtiel and Michael must be a bit confused on whether they're all traveling together or not.

Edit: re: Wormwood. I'm going to go dig up the passage from Revelation again to see what it says. I'll make a ruling based on that.

Salone 07-07-2011 12:00 AM

I figured we'd meet up in whatever tavern Dante and the girls rolled in to. Rue is after some sort of information from the churches, and wants to leech off of everyone else.

Funkduder 07-07-2011 12:01 AM

Michael has his own goals, so for the time being, I will have michael follow whether it's with or without them

Suzerain of Sheol 07-07-2011 12:07 AM

Okay, so, Wormwood apparently makes water undrinkable because of the taste. People die from it in Revelation because no one can actually drink the water, not because it's poisonous.

That said, I don't really like that idea, so let's say that ingestion is invariably fatal within 24 hours, while contact is not immediately fatal, but will induce sickness to some degree.

Salone 07-07-2011 12:08 AM

...Is that just physical sickness, or could it wreck the mental state as well?

Suzerain of Sheol 07-07-2011 12:09 AM

Just physical, I'd say. Probably a combination of skin rash and muscle problems (for contact, obviously).

Though, maybe it could cause hallucinations about even purified water being contaminated...? That might be kind of interesting.

Funkduder 07-07-2011 12:12 AM

Indeed. I sped things up a bit because I wouldn't like to stay in corinth long.

CupcakeDolly 07-07-2011 12:56 AM

I was gonna say, because in the non-biblical world, wormwood actually has healing properties as tea and such... it's only the essential oil that'll eventually kill you. Maybe being an ingredient in absinthe gave it the deadly stigma.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-07-2011 01:02 AM

I honestly find the whole passage kind of stupid, but... hey it's in the source material, and poisonous water fits the setting.

And, you know, far be it from me to question the metaphors of the Word of God....

:p

CupcakeDolly 07-07-2011 01:16 AM

*headdesks with laughter* Very nice reference, Suzerain!

Espy 07-07-2011 02:23 AM

Damn mouse...It's so hard to click.

Anyways, what's Wormwood again? I forgot.

Espy 07-07-2011 03:30 AM

Short post, because, I, unlike Dante, don't actually know my drinks >.> Shh.
