My strength is taking the random leftover bits here and there that you have before grocery day and making meals out of them. Comes in handy, I'd say!
it shouldn't be, but it still is to most people. I always get surprised reactions to the facts I am the dedicated cook for everyone in my flat.
*Mutters about stupid people who gender profile* I cook, I sew, I clean, I organize, I work a job, I privide for myself, I don't want to have kids, I can work a computer, I'm not a complete ditz, I know proper grammer in three different languages, and I don't have a male that waits on me hand and feet. This doesn't fit into your little gender profile world, and I'm glad. :O I can't stand gender profiles who think because I happen to be of a /fairer/ gender that I can't pull my own weight then some.
i have a lot of traits that are considered to be feminine ones, so i'm quite often considered camp or gay by the stupid majority.
I know men can have what is considered to be femine traits and not be gay. Same way females can have masculine traits and not be transvestites. Most people assume I was A) raised a tomboy, B) originally male and got a sex change, or C) a tranvestite.
I kind of hate society sometimes. actually, a lot of the time. I've always been 'different' and 95% of people seem to consider that to be bad. either i'm gay, a emo/goth, or am simply trying to be cool and individual. none of which i am...
I like to be seen as male, even though I am not physically so and do not wish to change to become so. Screw the profiles. Life is more complicated than 1 and 2. My male wardrobe irl is currently rather lacking though... Wish I had the money to go shopping. I cringe whenever someone gets me something that they thought was 'cute' or 'pretty'.
Society hates me, I don't have to hate them. :D And they make it easy to hate them as they are shallow and have almost no awareness factor. 2D tryinging to be 5D, it just doesn't work
And Galla, it is the same with me. 'Pretty' and 'cute' aren't what I am for 'together' and 'proffesional' is more of my look. I own one femine item for special occasions and even then I'd probably break out my tux more likely then where it. |
i just happened to grow up in a small rural area where being different was almost a crime, so it has had a pretty large effect on me through the years.
I live in rural PA when not on tour but being wierd is expected. People there would freak out if I was 'normal' because of the family that raised me.
I lived on a small Scottish island until recently. An island that has very little influecne from the outside world. I was an outcast from day one, as my parents weren't Scottish.
Yay, 500 posts! :3 |
I do know how being an outcast feels but I have been blessed with an understanding comunity and a wonderfull girlfriend. I was well prepared for the reality outside my comunity thankfully so general society's stigma did not effect me as bad as it would effect most.
you're very lucky then.. I had none of that as i grew up. Now that I've moved to a more socially mixed place i don't even know how to go about making friends.
I'm sure you had at least one person to be your support. And I'm very aware of my luck and I wish everyone could have what I have except maybe even a little better.
Hey guys qhats up this phone is hard to use xD
I live with my Brother and sister at present, and am slowly meeting people through them. I have been unable to get a job yet, and that's usually my main way of meeting people.
Hey Asami :3 |
Heya, Asumi, and yes I would imagine a phone is hard to use.
My sister, GF, and Tris are my only ways of meeting people. I'm a huge introvert. |

I guess I shouldn't ask you for your opinion on the musical or movie option since you seem to be quite the die hard Phantom fan. P: Well that's good, it's important to love what you do. Otherwise I don't see how one can enjoy doing something for a career if they don't even enjoy what they do. |
I'm not from a rural area, but my family is a little... hm. Trashy, ignorant, and closed minded? I think that sums it up...
My bio mother isn't. Neither is her new husband. I'm very thankful when I do get to see them. Around here, I've pretty much been disliked by my peers since I first started school. And here I thought 5 year olds couldn't hate. Hullo again, Asami. |
lucky for us social rejects/introverts there are websites like this out there where we can congregate <3
It's true. It really does wonders for those of us that would have otherwise been isolated.
Yes, thank you for Tris~
@Galla, a child's mind is simple, pure emotion. They are capable of the purest emotions, negative or positive. @Ari, I didn't care for the movie/s actually but besides that I have a tiny obbsession with it. It is nothing compared to my Sherlock obbsession though. |
I quite often make friends through sites online and then get to know them in real life. I've made quite a few friends around the UK that I have met, as well as some in america.
Same here. Though I don't often befriend them off-site normally limiting them to online.
Very true, DL, very true.
Most of my meaningful relationships have been online. Ones that start irl... typically don't last long, or end badly. |
i find if you solidify a relationship over years on the internet it's much much more likely to work out in real life.
I have family connection, and my girl friend in real life those are the only connections I have. Online I have a lot of friends/followers/people of fellow interests.
The internet certainly allows for amazing things, between the mental scarring.
I have been told many times that i have a personality that has a habit of taking over any site i join. well, not taking over, just becoming a very central part to them.
I have yet to be mentally scared on the internet but I do relize there is much that could mentally scar someone. And the internet is amazing.
And, Ducky, I don't let that happen. I wouldn't be able to do that cause then I'd be memorable and an ingrained part of life for that site. |
I know all to well what the dark depths of the internet can contain.. I like to think all the things i have seen have made me come out the other side a stronger and better person.
I. Tend to be forgotten. Aha.
I don't exactly try and make it happen, it just does. I don't think there's any avoiding it, unless I stop being me.
I'd like to believe I've seen the worst the world has to offers but I know it isn't true yet. I've seen a few things though that have given me a bit of an advantage over most people.
@Ducky, I know, I'm just saying I, personally would be unable to do it. |
I doubt it will ever happen here, as I've not had as strong an online presence for a couple of years now.
I try to make a fleeting impresion as possible.
you've made an impression for me, so I guess you failed there.

So what other movies and musicals are you obsessed with? Or is that it? :0 And Sherlock, eh? Does that mean you watched the new movie already? :0 |
Oh, btw, we've hit the 1 million posts :D
A failure here as well~
