What is your medium? Sewing? Or some other craft?

And we are twins. Fraternal, though.

Fauxreal 02-17-2014 02:33 PM

Thank goodness you are twins, I thought I was losing it. :D

I'm making one pair out of craft foam and one out of fabric - speaking of which, I should probably get off the computer and make some wings!

Yeah lol. I've never thought we look all that much alike though. Well we have a family resemblance but we have other sisters and we aren't really closer in appearance with each other than we are to them. Hah.a

And oooh. Better post pictures! :D.

I've got a zillion projects going at any given moment. Right now this moment I have this hat going hopefully to sell on my Etsy shop and this one for personal use. Of course, neither looks much like a hat the moment, but all the same...

Fauxreal 02-24-2014 09:31 PM

I really have to take a photo of my wings.

Hi there! I've got a question:

Is the cream colored WIP crochet or knitted? I can tell that the green and purple one with the stitch markers is, but I'm not sure of the other. And if it is knitted, what stitches are those and do you have a pattern you'd be willing to share? O.o

I learned to crochet when I was about 8 (I'm 25 now) and here within the last few years have picked up my hooks again. I'm in the process of making a granny square bumper for my daughter's crib (the little buggar keeps pinching herself on the bars in her sleep... *sigh*). I've made several hats, a few scarfs, and a couple of my more recent conquests include a flower teether and a few Dice bags/coin purses. I've gotta take pictures of everything so I can upload them. I'm in the process of trying to open an Etsy shop for myself. :)

I'm always pleased to find fellow "hookers" (crochet joke).

lol, I'm glad you like it. And it is crocheted :). A pattern I've made a few hats with in my shop. I've been meaning to write it up but I can't decide how exactly I'm going to package it. I've also been trying to tend to a shop - a pattern shop on Rav and Craftsy and a handmade items shop on Etsy. Good luck with yours!

I take pictures all the time and I have auto-upload to google photos from my phone haha.

@Fauxreal: Indeed ;).

Fauxreal 02-25-2014 03:15 PM

HAHAHAH! Are you saying, crocheters do it by hooking. *ROFL!*

lol it is a pretty commonly used term actually. There is a book called "The Happy Hooker" and the author said that actually, crochet gained popularity as a lace making technique when prostitutes and down on their luck women made lace to sell to rich people...

Fauxreal 02-25-2014 07:26 PM

HA! I totally didn't know that!

femme gauche 02-25-2014 07:32 PM

I could be misquoting. But it was something like that.

Fauxreal 02-25-2014 07:52 PM

That is hilarious though.

femme gauche 02-25-2014 08:26 PM

A little bit, yeah. Good they had something to do that might help them I suppose.
