gotta find some local celebrities xD maybe some that buy stuff where you work!

Kaderin Triste 05-10-2018 11:10 PM

Ah....the closest we have to "local celebrities" are the people who report the news on tv. XD
There are no celebrities here.

Veshora 05-11-2018 02:44 AM

Huh.
This is a schoolyard. Why are people talking about sugar daddy celebrities now?

Kaderin Triste 05-11-2018 05:21 AM

Technically, we're not. Or at least I'm not. I'm talking about glucose friend celebrities, which is not at all the same as a "sugar daddy" (ewwwww).

Also, a schoolyard by definition is: "A schoolyard or school campus is the region within the boundaries of a school used for teaching, extracurricular activities and other aspects of daily life at school."
Ergo, friends chatting about non-school/learning related topics is probably okay given that I almost never talked about school with my friends when not actually in class.

Nice explanation! Plus, Veshie - you haven't put up some new lesson recently. Thus we now consider it recess.

mdom 05-11-2018 11:05 AM

Veshora is too busy getting ready for Paris.

poussin! I like how fish is poisson, drink is boisson and poison is... poison.

Death by Mirrors 05-11-2018 06:01 PM

Yes, you really got to be careful in restaurants there.

Kaderin Triste 05-11-2018 06:49 PM

With subtle differences like that, I'm glad I don't eat fish or....baby chickens or I'd accidentally end up asking for poison. A lot.

mdom 05-11-2018 09:26 PM

Mon dieu!
Also cat is chat.
I have a friend that keeps calling me 'chatinha' because in Portuguese 'chata' means 'annoying' and then he says he isn't calling me annoying, he's saying I'm a cat.

Witchchylde 05-12-2018 12:40 PM

Let us not forget 'besoin', which is to kiss.

mdom 05-12-2018 09:16 PM

Besoin is need, baiser is to kiss ^^

Witchchylde 05-13-2018 11:41 AM

Whoops, see how thirty years without French lessons fall apart?

Death by Mirrors 05-14-2018 04:26 AM

Yup, baiser is the kiss, but you could say "J'ai besoin de baisers" to express you need kisses. Of course Baiser is also the german word for meringue, which tastes actually a lot sweeter than kisses.

hehe languages need being practiced all the time, otherwise... on oublie tout.
