ハ!誰が私たちが翻訳を持っている限り、日本語を勉強する必要があります。

I'm taking a Kanji class this semester and thrilled for that. I hardly know any kanji and I know I need to study it. i hate it but I also really feel rewarded when I do well and finally memorize some, and recognize them in a sentence. >3<' I'm super excited for it.

I'm going to Japan this summer and I hope it makes me more confident in my speaking.

D=
Azrael you lucky.....
My dream is to go to Japan and later on live there. .~.

Azrael 01-18-2011 09:44 PM

I'm hoping to teach English there. I want to get into the JET program after college. >3<' But I'm going to major in international business so even then I may be able to move to Japan if I can get a business job there. Nonetheless I want to be able to do something with my Japanese besides teach in the US.

@ Lucid, that would be awesome. *o* I bet my avi would like some candy~

Also, just as a reminder, if you post in another language you're supposed to post a rough translation with it. :3

I honestly barely know any Kanji... just a few.

I wanted to live in Japan when I was younger buy now a days I want to live on the Oregon coast, in Canada, or in Alaska.

Some place that hosts great photography. xD

Kindly avoid Google Translate; it does a pitifully terrible job with Japanese. Yes, I can tell you used it. It has a few specific quirks in its Japanese output that are glaringly obvious. Very hard to understand what it comes up with; it's often not even grammatically correct. (I can't even understand exactly what you were trying to say... something about having a translation and definitely studying Japanese.)

I studied it in 2000-2003 and the changes haven't been any more significant than in the rest of the world. What, in specific, are you thinking of?

tenshi raven 01-18-2011 11:07 PM

1. A messenger of love.
my guess is cupid or aphrodite or even eros, but I like someone else's guess of doves or I've heard of kisses

2. Not a rug.
a carpet or floor iunno

3. Suited for fire.
makes me think of cards and tarot or a fireplace or firefighter suitexD

Ashy 01-18-2011 11:08 PM

hmm i guess its not so much the culture but the attitude towards culture, also mannerisms etc ><

Coda 01-18-2011 11:18 PM

I'll give you that, but the whole civilized world has moved in that direction with the rise of the Internet. In the face of globalization, cultures must either isolate themselves (pre-WWII Japan) or become more accepting of variety.

1. I want to say cupid but everyone said that, so I'm thinking of doves, romance, and passion. Or like a stork with a baby XD.

2. Carpet, then I think of red carpet which is connected to celebrities. So Celebrity events. Or related to floors then it's hard wood which comes from the Earth; then I'm guessing Nature related

3. What kind of fire: like the fire burning physically or the emotional/mentally burning flame. Or the opposite which is water so I'm thinking of like an Atlantis type if it's the opposite of fire. And if it's fire, then it'll be like some sort of fire fighter uniform.

I suck at clues and riddles oTL

Yea I'm thinking of brief thought connections.

Taiki 01-18-2011 11:50 PM

I love everyone's guesses for the first one. xP
