I saw a picture online about PGO in Canada (pre-launch) and it had a stuffed Haunter hanging on a clothesline. I was actually thinking it might be fun to have a little "Safari" thing one day, in a rural area like mine since even Google Maps has trouble so the game might not run well. Could make a little family event with maybe toys or cards and you find them with compass directions or clues.

Well, that doesn't work so much for AR. That's something that gives you a little screen you can see if you glance up and to the left -- it feels like a game UI for the real world.

Exactly that, but I assume it would need tweaking to make it work for the game, and clearly does not have special edition features like pikachu stripes. ;)

That is a downloadable thingy that shows a map of your location.

So far i only have weedle, pidgey, and a vennonat near me. it even tells you how long you have to get to the pokemon to catch it before it poofs.

It doesn't work setting my longitude and latitude... I am still outside of LA according to the map, lol.

Yeah, that seems to be a bug... It geolocates ONCE and then won't update, and the fields on the screen do nothing.

I've been poking at the backend script that powers it instead of running the tool itself, just because I can force it to update and that actually works.

I liked how most of the pokemon of the first generation were tied to natural things - fossils, rocks, fungi, plants and animals...

I kinda wish we could battle the wild pokemon.. it would give us more use out of our starter pokemon...

I thought the levels capped at 20. (Figured as they roll into new generations, add to the cap by 20, like many RPG's). I am less certain if there is a balance to the game, now.
