Sometimes children know how to manipulate their parents to get what they want even if it's not the best way. I know my friend's son does the same to her. Sometimes you do need outside help, because you may know that you can't resist certain things on your own.

I know you said before that it's hard because your husband is away. I'm sure he helped a lot to enforce rules with your son, and also help you to not give in. With him being gone, not only do you have your emotional support missing, but also no one to remind you not to slip into the bad behaviors that you learned from your family while growing up. If my analysis is correct of course.

I'm glad you at least get to talk to him while he's out. Being in a long distance relationship myself, I can say that speaking on the phone or being online isn't nearly as good as being there in person, but it's far FAR preferable to no contact at all.

My fan of five years died about a month ago. My roommate like it hot and it's not good for me at all, because I have never perspired so much in my life. I wish I could afford a new one...but I just have to deal with it.

It was 70 degrees Fahrenheit outside and my roommate wanted to put the heat on. I just gave him a funny look and pointed at a blanket.

I do want to get a fan but I think by the time I have funds there won't be any for sale anymore...but hopefully I won't need one during the winter.

My ex used to use it a lot more than I was comfortable with too. However I'm not sure I ever got used to it myself.
