She shrugged in a bit of an exaggerated manner, "I don't think it should be up to me. The punishment must be dealt out by the assaulted." Her grin turned a tad dark, yet still playful, "You should know by now I love to play rough. Have you not seen my antics in high school?"

'Don't tempt me, Artemis.' He thought, restraining a groan. William laughed and shook his head. "Oh, I remember. Those poor boys." 'Those lucky slobs. What I wouldn't I give to be played with like that.' He thought, then tried to real his mind out of the gutter. "You're punishment... hmm... it needs to be really good." He mused.

Artemis had to force herself to try to keep her straight face as she listened to him. She could detect a tinge of jealousy to his voice, causing her interest to be peaked. "You're going to have to dish out the best you got Will."

William leaned a closer, brushing his cheek against her's as he whispered in her ear. "Oh, it will be." He smiled and leaned back so he could look into her eyes. "Hmm... what was something you did to those poor boys again? Maybe I can steal some ideas from you. It almost seems fitting, getting punished by your own methods."

"Well, I sent one to the hospital with a shattered skull from my bat..." She stopped, "Oh..wait..no I'm not supplying you ideas. You can to come up with it all your own my dear."

William laughed. 'Not exactly what I meant.' He thought smiling. He made a noise to signify he was thinking, even though he already had an idea. "I could kiss you until you can't breath... but that only works if you need to breath I suppose..." He eyed her appreciatively. He liked the feeling of leaning over her. Now if only they could touch more...

"Oh, those ideas~ Well, I don't think you could handle it dear Will." She laughed softly "Although, I would not protest to your idea; I could always pretend to need air. Oooorrrr, you'll just have to keep kissing me until you need to breathe." She winked, rather enjoying the thought.

"I couldn't handle it? My dear Artemis, that is a challenge and I cannot back down from a challenge. You've brought this punishment upon yourself." He murmured silkily. Then he leaned down and kissed her full on the lips. It wasn't gentle like his kiss had been before, but instead it was rougher, more animalistic. He let go of her hands and put them on either side of her head, pressing her down against the couch. He tugged on her bottom lip with his teeth, as if asking her to reciprocate.

Artemis just about purred, if she were a cat, as William kissed her again. She kind of wished he was wearing a shirt, just so she could have the satisfaction of ripping it off. That sounded rather appealing. Alas, she would just have to settle with pretend it already happened. She had ot be careful though, she was unsure if he was just going to brush this one off like he had before. She hoped he didn't; she enjoyed this way too much.

William's arms wrapped around her and he managed to tangle his hands into her hair. He pulled her face closer, crushing his lips harder to hers. He knew very well that he should stop this and brush it off as he had before, but he didn't want to. This was how he felt and thins was what he wanted. He wanted Artemis to know that.
Pulling away only in order to breath he let his lips travel from her jaw to her neck. The attraction between them was fiery and he was pretty sure this had been the straw on that broke the camels back. There was no returning from this. Suddenly, he pulled away completely so he could stare at her. This was real for him and he needed it to be real for her too. Not to say he wouldn't continue kissing her if it wasn't, just that he would prefer that it was. "Artemis. Tell me seriously. Do you want me?" He asked, his voice burning with attraction. |
Artemis stared at him for a moment. Should she answer truthfully? She knew William was past playing now. "Took you this long to ask?" She smiled slightly, tempted to flip them so she was on top, but decided on a couch it was rather difficult. So she opted to just pull his face down and kiss him with such intensity.

William gladly let her pull him to her and kissed her with all the fire he could manage. He tugged her closer to him, putting his legs on either side of her.
Then he head the lock of his door click. He pulled away, knowing the only person that had a key to this place other than himself would not be pleased he was making-out with vampire. He cursed, knowing there wasn't time for her to leave, so he took the small blanket that was thrown over the couch and covered them with it, then leaned over Artemis so he was coving the rest of her, perhaps she wouldn't notice... "William." Said and icy sounding voice. "I know I've taught he better than that. You never invite your women home. Make her leave. I must speak with you." She said in a commanding tone. William cursed. "If you don't mind, mother dearest." He began sarcastically, turning his head slightly to he could see her. "I'm a bit busy, and since when did you get a new key? Artemis did not like being interrupted. She bit her lip, quickly creating a telekinetic barrier around herself, like she had done so many times before. This condensed air made it difficult for the slayers to detect her as a vampire, and she hoped it worked. She quickly changed her hair back to its 'traditional' pale blonde and her eyes became more brown.
She was completely frozen. What should she do? If his mother found out what she was, the both of them would be in deep trouble, not to mention danger. She quickly extended a telepathic link to William "If she happens to find out I'm a vampire..." She had a feeling that Will had never used telepathy, so before he could answer her, she spoke again, "Ah! Right..human..just think your replies to me. Telepathy is easy once you get the hang of it..." |
'Just... give me a second. I'll try to convince her to go to the other room so you can leave.' He thought back to Artemis, his eyes never leaving his mother, and his expression unchanging.
His mother gazed at him with cold eyes, not pleased by his disobedience. "William Christopher Covair, make the woman leave. While enjoyable, physical pleasures are unimportant compared to your job." She said, almost sneering the last word. William sighed. 'Pleasant woman, isn't she?' He thought sarcastically. "Right. Wait in my room. At least let me walk her to the door." He said in a repentant tone. His mother stared hard at them for a moment, clearly sensing something was off, but she was unaware of exactly what that was. "If I must. But William, be careful of becoming too much of a gentleman. Your father was always that way. It was annoying." With that she turned and excited on her heels to his room. William turned back to look at Artemis. He sighed, not really having anything to say about his mother. There was no justifying her. |
Artemis frowned, "Just charming..." She frowned deeply, crawling out form under William, fiddling with her dress "You know where to find me..." She smiled slightly, walking to the door, peering back, "Or call me..I still have my phone." She winked playfully then skittered out. Once she was a good distance from William's apartment, she disappeared, teleporting herself to her apartment.
She sighed deeply, leaning up against the wall and letting herself fall to the floor. She ran her hands through her hair, closing her eyes, remembering the events of just a few moments ago; craving more. She would have to be patient though; especially since his mother was a very well known Slayer and she had skills to match. |
William watched as Artemis left, not wanting her to go, but knowing she had to. He waited a minute after the door had closed. He had finally shown her how he felt, finally acted on his feelings, and then his mother had ruined the whole thing. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment before turning and going to his room were his mother waited.
She sat on his window seal, her back to him, looking out over the city. She didn't turn when entered room. "Why..." She paused, an uncharacteristic action. "Why did you bring a girl home? That will give her unrealistic expectations. I know you can afford a hotel." Her voice was distant, but it held a softer edge to it than normal. William gazed at her back and with a monotone voice said, "I didn't feel like going to a hotel. It's not like it matters, I won't be seeing her again." His lie came easily. A short laugh came from his mother. "You won't be? I doubt that." She laughed again. "Oh William, there is more of your father in you than you might think. He had a certain... air about him when he was in love. You have it too. You've had it for a while. I ignored, because I know I taught you better than that, but it appears you were not paying attention." She stood suddenly, turned and walked over to him. "If you love this girl then you will do what you know is best. Never see her again. Only fools let love control them, and you are no fool William. You are one of the finest slayer's I've ever trained." Her words were harsh, but William just stared at her. "And what do you know of love, Mom? You didn't love my father." He said. She smiled slightly at this. "I didn't, but I envied him. His lack knowledge let him be carefree. At the time I thought that was important. I pity him now. He's ignorant and always will remain so." She looked away. "The only thing he was good for was giving me a son who inherited my skill as a slayer. You will lead the council one day if you get your head together. Once you lead them you may use that girl for a child to take over for you if you so choose. Or choose someone else. It does not matter. Just make sure to take whatever power you can when you can and insure that you keep it." She looked back at him. "That's all I have to say. Goodbye." With that she turned and left. |
With a heavy sigh, Artemis continued to sit there, thinking to herself. William may be able to handle himself against one vampire...but..what if it would end up being a group ambush? She pulled lightly at her pale hair, trying to think of how to keep the Council away from him. Perhaps..she could convince them that he's her..blood bank, so t say..that might work..but..for how long?

William sank down onto his bed as his mother left. He let his head fall back onto the pillows. He sighed in frustration. If his mother had picked a better time to show up then he might not have be alone in his bed tonight. He pulled his phone from his pocket and called Artemis.

Artemis jumped feeling her phone buzz in her pocket, swiftly pulling it out, "W-Will...D-does she know? I don't want you in trouble with your Council..." She closed her eyes a bit, letting her head rest against the door.

William let go of the breath he been holding, relieved to hear her voice. "No, she doesn't know. She..." He hesitated, not sure if he should tell her what his mother had told him. "She just wanted to talk about my... behavior and my... future."

"Oh..I see...I'm just getting you into trouble slowly..aren't I?" She frowned deeply and shut her eyes tight, glad he couldn't see her face; but it wasn't like her depressive tone didn't give her away anyway. She bit her lip, "I'm sorry William...w-we could..still..go to London...things a-are a bit more..relaxed over there..yeah?"

William took a deep breath. He could hear her sadness. He wanted to be with her then, to comfort her. He shook his head even though she couldn't see him. "I can't get away that easily. Slayer's aren't exactly eager to let us leave there ranks... at least with our memories fully intact." He said slowly. If he wished to he could request to have his memory erased and be cut off from the slayers, but rarely did anyone do that. The greatest fear of slayers had always been ignorance, and William was no different.

Suddenly she perked up, "Well then, I'm just going to have to kidnap you, aren't I?" She chuckled slightly, imagining various ways that could end up.

William grinned, rolling his eyes. "It's not kidnapping if the victim comes willingly, and I can think of a way or two that you could... convince me." He chuckled in a low tone. His mind wondered back to their earlier encounter.

Artemis grinned, "But that's why we pretend it is to make more fun." She giggled a bit, her tone playful with a hint of dark seductiveness to it. "That's what foreplay is for my dear William."

"Hmmm, so that's how you like it then? I'll have to think of something good for the next times we're alone together." He closed his eyes, wishing very much that they were in fact alone together.

With Artemis being so skilled int he psychic arts, she could easily read his mind, even from on the way other side of town. She laughed slightly, hanging up the phone as she stood and smoothed her dress. Exactly 8 seconds later, she was standing in front of William, bent slightly at the waist as she looked down to him, "You're wish has been granted, my dear." She winked, a large smile on her face.

William frowned when she had hung up. Now why did she go and do that? He sat up suddenly at her reappearance. "You...?" He began confused, then smiled understanding. "Odd you could do that, get inside my mind that is. I can block most vampire, though I suppose my mind wouldn't be wired to block you."

Artemis smiled, kissing his forehead, "Nope! I'm special..besides..your brain loves me too much to block me out" She winked again, sitting next to him. "Now then..about this kidnapping business.." She chuckled slightly, rather looking forward to it.

William smiled. "Yes, about the kidnapping business. While being kidnapped by a beautiful temptress sounds absolutely splendid, I think we should turn the tables." He moved suddenly then, twisting his body so that he was leaning over Artemis, his hands on either side of her. "Perhaps the beautiful temptress should be kidnapped by the dashing rouge." His eyes became half-lidded as he looked down at her. "After all, I'm sure the dashing rouge had every intention to do something normal, like sell her to slavery or hold her for ransom, but he just couldn't resist." He moved his face closer to hers when he said the last three words, exaggerating each of them.

Artemis grinned a bit, trailing her finger lightly along his jawline, "But the temptress has very..temping ways to make the rogue let her do the kidnapping and the...well, the surprises along the way." Her finger continued along his jaw, then down his neck, then down his chest. "And she has quite a few surprises in store~"

"Does she?" William said with a sly sort of smile. He spoke in a low tone, his face close enough to her that his hot breath would reach her face. "Well, I'm sure the rouge wasn't expecting that. Though he can be crafty too. He's always ready for the unexpected." He shuddered slightly at her touch, desire and attraction filling him. "Even so..." His voice become huskier, "I think he's a goner. Lucky guy." He moved one of his hands and trailed it down her arm.

Artemis' eyes glowed a bright rose color as he touched her arm, "Anything you say?" She grinned, gently grabbing his shoulders and rolling both of them over so she was now perched on top of him, her face just a hair's width away from his. "Are you sure about that my dear?" She teased him for a moment, just ever so slightly pressing her lips on his before pulling them back, just a hair off of his. "You better be damn sure about it." |
"Positive." William said in a whisper, slightly surprised that she was now on top of him. He moved an trailed his lips along her jaw line for just a moment, then smiled and spoke while his lips still touched her. "He tends to enjoy being on top, however." And with that he kissed her full on the lips. He used his hands to lift him so her could kiss with more force.

"But I put forth all this effect to..." she trailed off as he kissed her again. "You know, I'm only what..120 pounds? You could easily just roll us over...I don't mind doing a bit of tumbling and turning." She pressed her lips hard against his the intensity of the kiss quickly increasing.

William chuckled as he kissed her. 'Hmm... fabulous idea my dear.' He thought to her as he turned them suddenly, so he was now pinning her to the bed.

*** Artemis rolled over so she was facing him, a slight smile on her face. She gave him a light kiss on the cheek, "Now you know what allt he buzz is about~" She couldn't help bu laugh slightly thinking back to 'the good old days' of high school. |
William laughed, wrapping an arm around her waist and tugging her closer. He put his head on her shoulder, breathing in her sent. "I certainly do. I feel like I missed out. Now I know all my jealously was warranted." He said with a smile. He remembered be jealous of them, of wishing it was him beside her instead of them, however brief their stay beside her might have been. "What about me, did I live up to your... expectations?"

She snuggled into him with a slight purr, "Dearest, William, you have done more than that~" She smiled, "Aww, you were jealous the entire time~" She kind of wished she could've had the same feeling, but William was never with a girl in public; after all relationships to slayers were forbidden..she assumed he was not without his..one night stands. That did make her a little jealous, but to her it just didn't seem the same as his. Oh well, he was with her now, and that's all mattered.

"Artemis, I'm surprised I didn't turn the deepest green there is. I envied them quite a bit... and yet, I pitied them. They only had you for a short period of time, but I got forever." He smiled and kissed her shoulder lightly. "I believe that's why I was so... promiscuous for a while. But none of them ever lived up to my expectations of you in my head, so I just lost interest."
