Lol. I my houses in Oblivion have so many different guard uniforms. Each house has at least one full guard uniform from each city.
You know, I don't blame those guardsmen for their determination to stop my criminal scuminess. I mean, after all those that I'd killed, the man who brought me to justice would have been a gods-damned hero. :p
A life-time of relaxation for him, and a MAJOR promotion.
A loot. Don't forget the loot. :p
For me or my step-dad, so much loot. My step-dad considered it a good day to go into an Oblivion gate with his armor, a sword, and 600 feather potions and come out the other end with nearly 2000lbs of loot, and he'd do this three or more times a day.
What?! I barely remember ever even getting loot in Oblivion (the Plane of). What sort of stuff would you guys find?
I've pretty much stopped looting bodies in Morrowind. There's no point when I pretty much already have 15 of whatever the guy happens to be carrying. I'm pretty much breaking in to fancy house, releasing slaves (my sneak is maxed or nearly maxed, yet the stupid guards still manage to realize I've got their slave key) and looting daedra ruins.
I hope that the guards stop being telepathic. I brake the law in one area, and all the guards in the area instantly know, and can find me unless I'm 100% chamelioned.
That's where I reload and do it again, hopefully with no one reporting it the second time. I've never tried killing a guard though. Are there some things just one just can't go without the guards noticing?
I can never do anything illegal without all the guards knowing. Sometimes, after a big crime, I run off and into the woods, only to be caught by an Imperial Ranger. I have no idea what Imperial Rangers are, and by that time, I'm all the way across the map, running and leaping faster then most horses. I just don't get how they know... It's like some sort of Guard only telepathic network. How am I supposed to beat that? And then the answer was given to me. The Grey Foxes Cowl. I love that magic hat, no matter how stupid it makes me look. It gives you complete immunity to bounty. And shows how stupid guards can really be.
Heh. That must be Oblivion since I've never heard of an Imperial Ranger. I'm playing Morrowind. My specialty is stealth though, and i have the patience to *usually* get away with things. I half suspect that the people dying are able to report their own crimes somehow, unless of course, they swing first ;). Makes the Morag Tong guild stuff pretty easy, since most of the marks know who you are to begin with and attack you anyway.
I've been waiting for this game for 4 years and when they announced I screamed like a small girl in the middle of class.
My, you are impatient. Oblivion only held your attention for a year? :p
I must say Suze, I really like yor new avi.
Oh, thank you. It only cost me 10 bucks. :p
I am unsure if there is a pre order bonus but since gamestop is all hey preorderrr~ there might be :P
Ah. I never pre-order unless there's something awesome that comes with it. The way the employees there push for pre-orders actually puts me off from doing so.
Plus, I usually order off of Amazon, anyway, and they rarely run out of stock. |
Yeah... But this is Skyrim, I want it the day it comes out.
You raise a compelling point. I'm not crazy enough to pay for overnight shipping on a game.
Laziness might make me order it off Amazon, anyway, and just wait that agonizing week it takes to get here out. :p |
Meh... I really should wait to even see if I am going to have an Xbox in my dorm before buying it, since no good games ever come out for the Mac.
I'm probably going to get it for the PS3, definitely if they enable mods for it, like they were talking about. I'd get it for my laptop, but I'm not positive I could run it and I don't want to waste my money. I'd need to buy a gamepad to play it, too.
I understand what you mean. Especially if they allow modding on consoles.
In an unrelated post, Do you know of any one who is selling runes? I've been looking around the market, but I see a whole lot of people buying runes, but not many people selling runes. |
I don't, sorry. But then, I don't many people period. :p
I bought 40 off of Azrael last week, but the stock went fast. You have to keep a look out, I guess, and jump on it as soon as someone has some for sale. And I'm sure they're in higher demand now, since the new MDIs just came out. |
Yeah... That And I know it will be easier to aquire some of the items on my quest list if I also have the option to buy them.
My desire to play a game is nearly always outdone by how cheap I am. I usually wait until a game has been around a while and is cheaper before buying it. Not sure if I'm snatch Skyrim up fast or not. I got Morrowind for a birthday gift.
Lunaryon, You might try putting up a post in the buyer's market. I have one there and got a rune offer earlier today. I'm looking for them too. |
Donating your lunch money might work. :p
Edit @Quiet, I tend to do that, too. I got Assassin's Creed 2 and Mass Effect 2 for $15.00 each around Christmas last year. |
I've been thinking about that, But so far the few threads I make don't ever seem to be visited...
I had no idea that this game was going to exist...I need to get my shit together and pay better attention..
I just hope it lives up to the hype. That's another reason I might delay my purchase a bit, just to see what people are saying about it the first couple of days.
Finally went and watched the trailer.
- drool - The graphics, the landscape, the FREAKING DRAGON GOD! D8 <3 I don't know if I can wait so many months! xD Psshaw excuse me, dragons period. xD |
I am ignoring the hype (which is pretty much why I'm pestering you for answers, Suzerain ;)). I'm just hoping for a standard Elder Scrolls affair. I'm tempted to go get that free download of Daggerfall and give that a go again. Maybe the glitch is gone and I can play through the story. :).
Though dragon god does sound uber cool. |
I'm reading the post about it on Wiki. Perhaps not the best place as all the info might not be true, but it's giving a general idea of everything on it.
Wiki can be sketchy at times, but it is a great place to start when looking for info. Some of my professors didn't like it, others said don't quote but use it as a first stop. The articles can lead you to other good sources.
- nods -
I think there's definitely more accurate info then not though, because why would people spend so much time putting incorrect things in the articles? D: But anyways, I'm not gonna take all of the stuff about the new game to heart, in case it is incorrect. But it did say dual-wielding! That would just be awesome. 8D And I just can't get over the dragons... it says they can just drop into a town and starting blasting fire! xD |
I use check the boards at Gamefaqs every now and then, since people there keep up on what info gets released in magazines and interviews and the like.
Speaking of which, I just found out that if you hurt a dragon enough, its wings'll get damaged and it'll crash into the ground and be unable to fly anymore. Edit- Dual-wielding is definitely, 100% in. |
Dawwww, the poor dragons. D8
It'd be so sweet if you could ride one of the tamer ones. o - o At least on Wiki it says some aren't hostile and you can speak with them. |
That's nice. I like it more when creatures aren't always hostile and dragons often seem something that can be spoken with, even if they aren't always friendly.
-reads whole thread-
o.o I played Morrowind briefly on the X-box (made a cat-type girl, not that any of you would be surprised there) but I never got around to actually playing it :/ By the time I would have had time for it I didn't have an X-box anymore. But reading this thread makes me interested. I don't usually do the evil thing but it's nice to have it as an option plus it can be fun if done well xD -adds to the as of yet unwritten list- |
Those are the Khajiit. I love them. :). I have two characters right now, Mirri and Nigira. The Argonians are fun too (Lizard types). I like the beast races, though I've only once been disapointed with the lack of boots when I found a dandy pair hiding in a cave. They do walk a little funny though. Takes some getting used to.
The first Elder Scrolls game I played was Oblivion and I remember my first character I made was a Khajiit. x3
Love their speed. c: I'm not sure about this, are there the different races in the new game or not? I haven't come across anything saying so yet and I haven't seen images of any other races. >: |
