"Maybe that's why he hasn't...hmm.." She shrugged, doing a 180 pivot on her heel and heading back the way they came. "So what ar-..wait..I thought you were a bartender? Why would you have a gun? Or..training with a gun?" She looked back at him slightly, confused.
"It's more then training... I'm an expert marksman." Aaron turned around. He put the pistol in the back of his pants, not wanting anyone to see it. "And about me being a bartender... I lied..." He trailed off hoping she wouldn't hate him for lying.
Genevieve stopped, looking at him suspiciously, "Why is it everyone always lies to me? I can handle the truth here..I'm not some wimpy 16 year old miss priss. So what is it that you really do?" She brought her hand up and swatted him hard on the ass, knowing he was tender, "Tell me the truth now..or I'll make it hurt even more.."
Aaron yelped a bit and grabbed his ass cheek, "Mercenary. I am... was a mercenary, I was fired today. That is why my apartment burned to the ground. I had to dispose of my former bosses dead bodies." He looked to the ground. "Have you ever heard of the murderer called Sânge?" He glanced up. "That would be me." He smiled a bit.
She shrugged, "Never heard of that name, and I don't really care. I'm just mad you two always lie to me." She swatted him again then started off with a huff. "You lie to me again, I'll do more than just hit you." She crossed her arms over her chest and lifted her nose a bit in a pout. She hated liars.
"Gene..." Aaron trailed off as she slapped him again. "How in the hell was I supposed to know you would be ok with me basically being a murderer? And I didn't know your best friend was a vampire." He sighed as he tried to catch up with her. Which was hard since his ass was still tender. He turned his head when he heard tires screeching. "Son of a bitch! Gene run!" He pulled out his pistol and aimed at the front tire. He shot at the dark red car's tire.
Genevieve turned around hearing Aaron chase after her, "I know, but still! You promised me you were telling me the truth. That's the issue. I understand the circumstance, but still.." She trailed off, watching the red car. She peered around for something to hide behind, eventually settling for behind the mail box. Hopefully they wouldn't waste effort on her..no offense to Aaron. She whipped out her phone and sent Adelais a quick text-not that he'd read it.
The bullet hit the car tire, and made the car spin out of control a bit. Aaron glanced to Gene, I told you to run idiot. He thought as he looked back at the car. He slowly walked to the car, he stopped when the door opened.
A gray hared man stepped out of the car, "Long time no see Aaron." The man slammed the door shut. He pulled out a katana and dragged it on the ground as he walked close to Aaron. "What do you want Ciprian?" Aaron pointed the gun at the man. "Have you come to try and kill me again?" He stepped back a few steps, not looking forward to dealing with a katana when he only had a gun on him. "I just want to have a cup of tea." The man called Ciprian smiled evilly. "And my boy, if you remember your have gotten the worst end of all of our 'meetings'." He snickered. "I may have, but I have always won. Now I suggest you leave now." Aaron stopped moving. "Or what? Your gonna cry to your mommy? Oh that's right, your mother is dead." Ciprian narrowed his eyes at the man. "No, I will kill you." Aaron narrowed his eyes right back. He pulled the trigger on the gun. "Aww..." Ciprian pouted. He quickly brought his sword up deflecting the bullet, and sending it back at Aaron. Aaron ducked when he herd the ting of the bullet on the katana. He just hoped it didn't hit Gene. |
Genevieve winced a bit as she heard the ting, not really registering what happened afterwards. With a growl she began to dial Adelais's number when she felt something warm on her shirt. She looked down, her eyes widening as she noticed blood was pooling on her shirt. Had the bullet strayed and hit her? She tenderly touched the area where she now felt pain and let out a slight yell. It did. She was shot..amazing. She hardly noticed that Adelais actually answered his phone and was trying to get her attention, even if it was futile. She winced again, putting as much pressure as she could over the wound trying to focus and think.
Adelais listened as he didn't get any sort of answer from Genevieve. Wait..did she just yell? It sounded..pained. With a sigh, he shut his phone and disappeared. He brought himself behind her, the smell of her blood wafting immediately into his nose; his eyes turning red. He clenched his teeth, leaning her back a bit, "You'll be fine until I can take care of the vampire...just keep pressure on it and don't move." He stood, his hands in his pockets as he stepped over by Aaron and the gray haired vampire, "Well then..I didn't think I'd be seeing your sorry ass anytime soon Ciprian..." |
Ciprian's eyes turned a darker shade of red when he smelled blood. "Well Ade, its wonderful to see you again to." The man sniffed the air again. He grinned when he smelled lust in the air, and it was coming from Aaron. "I see what is going on here. Does the big bad mercenary Aaron Trigger have a crush on little old Ade?" The man looked at Aaron.
Aaron stepped forward when he noticed Ciprian's eye's turn red. "Shut up Ciprian, you may be a vampire but I will still be able to kill you." He stepped forward one more step. "And you know its not fair to fight little ole' me without my katana." He put the pistol in the back of his pants. Ciprian chuckled, "You have no hope in killing me boy." He made Aaron's katana appear clipped to Aaron's belt. "Just to actually give you a chance." With that he lunged forward and swung his katana downwards. |
Adelais sighed. He really despised this man. He was an insult to the vampire race. With a bored expression, he put a strong telekinetic barrier around Aaron, blocking the katana. "Now I know he doesn't need my help to kill you, but I've been meaning to kick your ass for a few hundred years now..." He posture was relaxed; bored, like his face. He shifted his hands a bit in his pockets, his red eye and slightly pinkish toned eye watching him carefully. "Aaron, could you do me a favor and see if you can remove the bullet from Gene? That smell is starting to get on my nerves..."
Ciprian was thrown back a bit when Adelais blocked Aaron with TK, he ran his hand through his hair and watched Adelais. "Not fair Ade, besides this isn't between you and me." He watched Adelais carefully forgetting about Aaron.
Aaron quickly unsheathed his katana and maneuvered it to block Ciprian's katana. He gave a annoyed look when Ciprian was tossed backwards. He carefully watched Ciprian and made a move when he was sure Ciprian wasn't paying attention. He ran at Ciprian and brought his katana to the side, hopefully slicing across the man's abdomen. Ciprian didn't notice Aaron running at him until it was to late. He felt the cold metal slice deep into his skin, and a few of his organs. He fell to his knees as the wound started to heal. Aaron walked over to Adelais, "I'll see what I can do, just don't kill him. I have been wanting to do it for awhile now." He sheathed his katana and made his way over to Gene. He walked around the mailbox until he was where she got shot. "I told you to run, not hide." He lifted her shirt up so he could see the wound. "This is going to hurt." He jammed his fingers into the wound to find the bullet. |
Genevieve yelled out slightly, but quickly closed her mouth. She always prided herself in her high pain tolerance. "Yeah well..if you were..shot..you'd need help.." She bit down hard on her lip, but not too hard.
Adelais chuckled as Ciprian found himself gouged, "Don't worry Aaron. I'll just beat him to a pulp..you can handle the rest." He eyes narrowed at Ciprian, "Or at least..I'll try to not kill him too quickly.." He stepped over to the gray haired vampire, kicking him onto his back with a scowl upon his face, "You know...I hate..being called 'Ade'..." His power lashed out, sharp telekinetic knives launching themselves at Ciprian's body. |
"I have been shot many times, I usually can remove a bullet with a knife." Aaron's tone was nonchalant. "I can also stitch myself." He finally found the bullet and pulled it out with little niceness. He tossed it to the ground, "Your lucky its momentum was slowed, you could of actually died." He shrugged. He removed his shirt, "A makeshift turnakit." He pulled her shirt up so it was resting just under her breasts. He wrapped the shirt around her abdomen and tied it as tight as he could. He shook his head knowing that wasn't going to work. He quickly went to work on his belt, he pulled it out of the loops. "I'll try to not cut off you lungs." He wrapped the belt around her and buckled it tightly. "There." He glanced up to Ciprian.
Ciprian growled as he fell to his back, "I know you do Ade." He put up a TK shield to block the TK knives that were coming at him. He teleported to his feet behind Adelais starting to drive his katana forward and hopefully into his back. |
Genevieve was basically gasping for air since she wasn't really allowed to fill her lungs with much air right now, "I'll be...fine until..Ade can fix it..." She leaned up against the mailbox, keeping her breathing as regulated as possible.
Adelais growled slightly, shifting his organs around inside his body and putting a small telekinetic shield around them, but leaving a hole to allow the Katana through, as he wouldn't have been able to move away. This way, he would not be harmed too much. "I really wish you would stop that.." He turned his head to glance back at Ciprian, "Don't make me start calling you Cippie" {Pronouced: See-pee..like a sippie cup} He chuckled, driving his elbow back and pushing Ciprian away with his telekinesis, the wound healing quickly as the katana slid from his flesh...since he didn't have to heal any organs. He turned to face Ciprian holding up his open palm-white hot flames suddenly errupting from his palm and hovering over his hand. "How does the Cippie Cup feel about fire?" |
"Good, now stay here." Aaron stood and walked close but not to close to Adelais and Ciprian.
Ciprian flew backwards and landed on his back. He growled as he stood, "I don't mind it actually." He watched as fire irrupted in Adelais' hand. "I don't mind it." He shrugged, he was lying. He didn't have control over the elements, he put a strong TK barrier around his body to protect himself. |
Adelais grinned a bit, tossing the fire around between his hands as he stepped closer to Ciprian; he could sense his apprehension about the element. "Oh, don't lie you me. You know how I hate liars." He flicked the ball of fire as it hovered in the air, sending it at the man's feet with impeccable aim and incredible speed. "As much as I don't want my little Cippie Cup to melt, I'm afraid that it can't be helped..." He trailed off with a sigh.
Ciprian sweated a bit as the fireball flew at him. When the ball hit his feet it quickly spread over the front of his shield. He started to gather up his power to teleport away leaving his back wide open.
Aaron watched as the white fire engulfed the man, wait it didn't engulf the man. He looked closely and saw that the man was starting to disappear. "Oh no you don't." He ran to Ciprian and picked up the man's dropped katana. He quietly walked up behind him and jammed the katana into his head. "Shit..." He trailed off as the fire started to spread around the sides of the man's body. He tried to move but got a third degree burn on his shoulder and leading to his chest. He got out of the way before more fire could get at him. Ciprian was to focused on keeping his shield up and gathering his power teleport away that he didn't notice that Aaron was behind him. His shield instantly dropped when the katana went through his skull and coming out in the front. He stayed standing as his body became fully covered in fire. |
Adelais quickly teleported to Aaron, between him and Ciprian. He looked at the burns on Aaron's body with a frown, accelerating his body's healing procedures again. He only got about half way when Genevieve's fluttering heart entered his ears, "You'll have to wait Aaron..I'm sorry." He was suddenly at Gene's side, removing the belt and shirt, examining the wound. She had lost a lot of blood, but she would be okay.
His hand hovered over the wound as he forced her body to heal at an increased rate. He also manipulated her body to make more red blood cells, using this ability to manipulate water to replicate the H2O bonds in her bloodstream to keep her blood from getting too thick. Only about a minute later, she was back in perfect health; her heart settling into a steady rhythm and her breathing relaxing. "Next time, don't get shot. Alright?" He stood, staggered a bit then went over to Aaron, finishing healing his burns. "You alright?" Genevieve gently poked her side where the wound was, blinking a few times. Amazing..she had never experienced first hand Adelais's 'healing' powers. She poked it a few more times as he left to tend to Aaron, then stood, still astonished. She glanced over to the two, then hurried over, "We should..go.." She nodded her head to the gathering crowd. |
"It's..." Aaron trailed off as Adelais hurried over to Gene. He sheathed his bloody katana and watched as a crowed started to gather. "I'm fine, but you don't look good." He but his hand on Adelais' cheek. He nodded at Gene, "We really should." He looked back at Adelais who was blinking a lot and swaying a bit. He grabbed Adelais' arm and threw it over his shoulder. "Lead the way Gene." He nodded his head as he wrapped his other arm around his waist to keep him steady.
Adelais snarled a bit as Aaron grabbed him so, "I'm fine Aaron...I haven't healed such..extensive wounds in a long time..and I.." He trailed off, sort of forgetting where he was going in his sentence. He glanced around at the gathering crowd, his gaze instantly going for the many necks around them. One particular pulse was driving him insane; Aaron's, as it was right next to him and he could feel the blood pulsating through Aaron's skin. Suddenly, he perked up, pulling himself away from Aaron closing his eyes for a moment, "I have to fix their memories...about this whole..thing..." His arms motioned out to the street. He leaned slightly to one side; his equilibrium obviously off.
Genevieve sighed as Adelais fought Aaron's help, "Ade, come on, we don't have time for this. Stop being such a bitch and let's go." She grabbed the man's arm and began hauling him down the sidewalk, causing him to stumble quite a bit. She glanced back to Aaron, "Help me out please? He's surprisingly heavy for his frame structure..and we need to get back to his place.." |
Aaron stumbled a bit as Adelais pushed off of him. "Adelais..." He watched as Gene started pulling him. He ran and caught up with the two, "You do need to rest Adelais." He pushed Adelais from behind, Gene was right, he was heavy for his structure. He wasn't pushing as hard as Gene was pulling, he didn't want the man to fall and hurt himself.
Adelais growled again as he was shoved a bit from behind, "Knock it off you two..I am capable o-" His right foot caught on his left, sending him stumbling for the ground. He let out another growl, quickly righting himself and standing straight. He pulled his arm from Genevieve's his hand moving to cover her eyes while his other hand covered Aaron's. Moments later they found themselves standing in Adelais's apartment. It was vital for humans to close their eyes while being teleported; the jolt of moving so fast often made them nauseous. He swayed a bit, his vision blurring for a moment before clearing. "There..I'll have to fix their memories...but in a moment.." He flopped onto the couch, closing his eyes.
"Adelais, I can tell something is wrong with you." Aaron sighed as he went to his duffel bag. He unzipped it and pulled out his final packed shirt. He pulled it over his head and looked at Gene, "Sorry you got shot, but I told you to run, not hide." He crossed his arms definitely angry with her.
Genevieve crossed her arms over her chest as well, glaring right back, "Don't get that tone with me. If I hadn't stayed there you could be dead for all we know..." She let out a huff, glancing over to Adelais to hopefully recruit him onto her side, but she paused. "I-Is he sleeping?" She kept her voice low, just in case he was. It appeared to be so...his eyes had not opened yet and he seemed to be rather relaxed.
"If I'd be dead, I'd be dead. It's no big deal. I have come to terms with death." Aaron sighed deeply. "I think so, so stop yelling." He whispered and smiled a bit. "I don't know about you but I am hungry, I'm gonna go and get some food." He reached into his duffel bag and pulled out a couple hundred dollar bills. "Want something? I'm buying." He held up the money before he stuffed the money in his pocket.
Genevieve shrugged, "I'll basically eat anything without mushrooms so I don't care what you get." She watched Adelais for a moment longer before helping herself to one of the chairs with a sigh. What an eventful day. A nap actually sounded really nice right about now but she would save it until she was ready to sleep; else she'd be waking up in the middle of the night.
"Ok." Aaron nodded as he made sure his pistol was still in the back of his pants. He checked to make sure he had everything he needed and went out the door. I'm going to have to get a new belt. He thought as he pulled up his falling pants. He was surprised that the pistol hasn't fallen down yet. He shrugged as he walked down the stairs to the ground floor. He hummed a bit as he walked out of the door onto the sidewalk.
*** Aaron found a little pizza shop, and surprisingly there was a thrift shop across the street. He ordered a large pizza with sausage, while he waited for the pizza he went to the thrift shop to buy a belt. *** Aaron held the warm pizza close to his body as he walked up the stairs to Adelais' apartment. On top of the pizza box a bag full of a few shirts and a few pairs of jeans. He was a little upset that all of his clothes were burned to a crisp. |
Genevieve sighed as Aaron left, feeling a tad bit awkward while she watched Adelais sleep. She had never seen him sleep before, so it was rather interesting..for just a moment before it became awkward. With a sigh, she looked around his apartment, surprised she didn't find anything...old in his apartment...most of his decor was fairly modern. She expected some more medieval or something but she found none of that.
Aaron quietly opened the door to Adelais' loft, he didn't know if he was still sleeping or not. He smiled to Gene as he quietly shut the door, he took the bag off of the box and laid it in 'his' chair. "Sausage." He waved the box a little.
Genevieve smiled as Aaron came back, "Wonderful~" She reached over the arm of the chair, taking a single slice and holding it with both hands. She took a bite, chewing it a bit, "Mmmm~" She quickly worked to devour the slice; but not too fast. She didn't want to get sick now.
Aaron sat on the floor next to the chair Gene was in. He laid the warm pizza in his lap as he took a slice. He took a few bites and watched Adelais sleep, he looked up at Gene as he finished chewing. "I feel weird just sitting here and watching him sleep." He chuckled a bit. He finished off the first piece of pizza and grabbed another, he had worked up quite the appetite today.
Genevieve chuckled a bit as she started on her second piece, "I know what you mean. It's just..so strange..to see him sleeping..." She watched Adelais for a moment, before looking to Aaron again, "You thinking about...staying with him?" She kept her voice very low, not wanting to get Adelais suspicious.
Aaron shrugged a bit, "I usually don't watch people sleep." He took another bite of pizza. "I..I don't know, I really like him but I don't know if he reciprocates the feeling's." He sighed keeping his tones low as well. "Should I stay or should I go?" He looked up to Gene.
She shrugged, "I personally think you should..it'd benefit Adelais, but I don't want to make you stay for the sake of developing his social skills...and..I'm unsure of how he feels about you..but..he refuses to tell me anything..so that's got to be something...normally he tells me exactly what he thinks about the men I set him up with-negative things..." She shrugged again.
Aaron sighed, "I know, but you know I'm not the type of person to outright ask about how he feels about me." He ran his hand through his hair. He closed the pizza box and laid it on the floor next to him. "Does he have a bathroom? I drank like five cokes while I waited for the pizza after I bought a few clothes." He stood and smoothed out his clothes.
She nodded, "Yeah, it's down that hall.." She pointed, standing up and closing the pizza box. She took it to the fridge and set it on one of the many empty shelves. She sighed, shutting the door. She turned around watching Adelais for a moment, curious as to what he was going to do regarding Aaron...she just hoped he wouldn't hurt the man too much. She has seem him do some..nasty things to the people she set him up with.
Aaron nodded thanks and went to where she pointed. He walked into the bathroom and leaned on the sink after he shut the door. Now he had to go to the bathroom but he wanted to think for a few moments. He sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror, he wasn't sure where these feelings were coming from. Or why they were happening, he closed his eyes in a way wishing that he didn't agree to the blind date.
Genevieve sighed as she watched Aaron leave the room. She shook her head a bit, knowing he was regretting this slightly. She turned back to Adelais, wishing she could get some sort of answer from him. She glared a bit, tempted to force him awake and to answer her...but she decided against it. He was really worn out if he was sleeping; and so quickly at that.
After a few more minutes of pondering he went to the bathroom. He washed and dried his hands after he flushed the toilet. He opened the door and walked out by Gene. "Still sleeping huh?" He pointed to Adelais as he went to his duffel bag. He started to empty the bag to put his new clothes on the bottom. He pulled out what could of been at least 1 million dollars. He sighed as he looked at the empty bag, he grabbed the clothes from the bag and nicely folded them and put them in the duffel bag. He put everything back in the bag and grabbed his katana to clean it.
