I usually draw things pretty huge and shrink them to 20%-50%. It makes the line art much more crisp looking. For these, the pic up there when you click on it to make it bigger is 50% of what I drew them at. Here's an example of Taiye at 100%:

ooooo oki. =O That's still rather small for me XDDD I draw HUUUGGGEEE. sohuge that when i Save for Web in Photoshop, they tell me that its tooooo big and may cause problems XDDDD

It's mainly cause I'm lazy and i bucket fill my line art =w= with leaves tiny uncoloured pixels in sharp corners. and of course... if I'm lazy for 1 and also too lazy to colour in those tiny corners XDDD So working large makes them invisible when i shrink c:

I could kind of tell that you drew huge. xD Those are actually quite small for when I draw. I did them on a whim and didn't really plan them, otherwise they probably woulda been bigger. What DPI do you draw at? I draw everything at 300dpi.

xD I hate those little corners too. In photoshop I usually use the magic wand and then expand the selection by 2 pixels so I usually catch most corners. Plus with my line art, I add a lot of black "shading" that usually covers most of those places before I even color it. O:

I do it at 300 dpi as well *nods* Once I went crazy and did it at 400...... that didnt turn out too well so i stuck with 300 XDDD

I'm afraid of the colour black when i draw XD If the art has black in it... be guaranteed I'd make it dark blue/purple. I'm also afraid of contrast :S SO I almost always end up fiddling around in the colour balance and levels. OTL

I always love to see line art with shading in them. It looks so cool and professional and i totally suck at it XDDDDDD

I got jealous of Taiki's awesome linearts one day and tried to do it with shading like her. I totally failed at it. XD
but my vectorized kitty I made for Kami kinda turned out having a little bit of the black shadey lines on accident. XD yay me and my accidents.

I don't think I have ever tried anything over 300dpi. xD

I feel like I ruin my pictures when I color them. I do basic cell shading but it seems to lose all of the line art's bold effect. I like my line arts way better before I color them. @_@ I love the way you color though~ I tried soft shading for a while but grew tired of it.

Oo Maybe you'd need to experiment with your colouring style to find out which compliments your lines the best. Your lines ARE amazing. ZOMG I should colour one sometime x]

The way I colour.... is a lazy cheap way of "colouring" xP It's like... fill bucket -> pen tool -> burn -> smudge -> burn again -> dodge -> more dodge desu

Aaandd you're done. xP If you have complex pattern, insert a layer mask somewhere into the steps.

@ Duchess, wanna know something stupid? xD I never took life drawing seriously because I was always like "I draw anime stuff, that isn't realistic, that wouldn't help at all! D:<" And now, I wish I would have started life drawing sooner because it helps with ALL drawing styles. xDDD I need to learn better anatomy.

@ Rem, you should set up some templates or something. xD Most often I scan a piece of paper at 300dpi and leave it at that size when drawing.

That remind me of when I was younger. I was really conceited back then and though my art was THE best (it was crap, it still is) but I NEVER used shapes to build my anatomy. I always saw the tutorials using shappes to start and I was like, "pfft! I'm better than that. I could just draw!"

It's a West African name, so it's probably pronounced crazy. xD But when I talk about her out loud to my friend, I say it like that. First time I tried to say it though I said "Ta-IYEE" or something. |D I like it better as just "Tie"/"Tai".

And Lil is based off of a real person I knew (I never really knew her very well, she was Raine's gf, but she went to another school and did not come to our school like in the comic). Raine is based off my best friend in high school, whom I still talk to every once in a while. P: I feel kind of bad that people dislike Alex for doing that, but it really wasn't her fault. |D She had no idea about Taiki's feelings.

I wouldn't know what to price your art, but I know it'd be pretty high based on how neat it is! Once I get a good sum of money, I'd gladly buy from you.
