Sure he over heard the conversation but he figured he'd wait.. striking now seemed to be a poor idea. 'tsk you keep enjoying your breath while you can' he thought to himself before making his move to distance himself further from the area. He was pretty sure that was the same damn light elf from when he was a child... he was hardly going to let him live for long if he had any say in the matter.
Though his thoughts on the subject were disrupted as two figures walked near him. "Mighty close to the light elf camp aren't you there Rhyldrin?" One hissed out towards him as he walked closer. "tsk whats it to you, I already declared that I want nothing further to do with the Queen's wishes... leave me" His ears went back suddenly and his one hand seemed poised and ready to grab a weapon to lash out at the two who were following him. He had left the area long before the general and the girl were done talking.. so following her wasn't his intention if they happened to cross paths again. "So what are you planning then.. you never make a move without some plan behind it." The second elf prodded at him trying to get a answer. Rhyldrin was hardly amused by his sudden company. "Fuck off already, I'm not in contract with you or your commander... so you don't have to keep watch on me" He hissed suddenly as he turned to face both of them. The both seemed to avoid stepping too close this time around, apparently they weren't ready to test how many buttons they could step on before Rhyldrin lashed out. "just seems odd for a dark elf to hang this close to the light elf camp is all.. though you did mention you had found some new form of pray" The first one grinned a bit as he spoke. Rhyldrin had a idea of what was going through their minds but it was funny to him as he laughed at their words. "I did.. I found a little bird to play with for the time being" He never mentioned this bird as he called it had claws and a sharp beak. "But I learned something today.. and I'd advise you pass this message along to your commander as well... " He glared at both of them "stay out of my way..." was his final words to them before he turned and started walking again. The two just stood there a few moments before they bothered moving again but away from Rhyldrin this time an probably back towards where the commander was. Sure he wasn't the best fighter but Rhyldrin could hold his own at the least. But he got a bit of added respect due to the fact he wasn't under the queen's command. So killing his own wasn't out of the question for him and it's something he had been forced to do once before a few years back. |
For a moment she remained where she was, she wasn't too sure what she wanted to do for the rest of the morning. She wondered if she could sneak back to camp and sleep without being disturbed. Though if she was caught there then it would give her brother a reason to bother her and she didn't want that at all. She wasn't in the mood to deal with any Dark Elves or Light Elves, perhaps she could find a spot in the forest where she could rest her tired mind. Judith's ears shot up when she heard unfamiliar voices, at first she couldn't tell where they were coming from but as she slowly moved closer three Dark Elves came into view. One of them being the one that she had encountered twice now. Judith kept herself low and told the little dragon to remain quiet. When the two that she had not seen before left the little dragon climbed down Judith from her shoulder and happily trotted up to the Dark Elf. He cooed and pawed at the Dark Elf's leg for attention. Judith remained hidden for a few seconds, wondering if she should reveal that she was there or not. Though, she wanted to ask the Dark Elf a question. She had heard the others speak his name and she remembered knowing a Dark Elf when she was a child who was named Rhyldrin. She wondered how many Dark Elves could be named that and decided that it couldn't just be a coincidence. She finally stood from where she had been hiding and cautiously approached the Dark Elf. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area making sure that no other Dark Elves remained, she hoped that no other Light Elves would appear either looking for her because she was causing her brother trouble. Then she brought her eyes to the Dark Elf, she looked over his face curiously. No wonder she had recognized the scar yesterday, she remembered when they had first met he had been wounded. "Rhyldrin?" she tilted her head as if she were a curious animal. Would he recognize her as well? "I knew that I recognized that scar." she added then smiled. |
"tsk bastards watching what i do like that" He hissed out once they were out of ear shot, he had half a mind to track that commander he seemed to piss off and kill him for sending his soldiers to watch him. Though he thought more on that and decided against it for now.. they hadn't crossed him just yet.
Though he did remember hearing the damned dragon again as he looked down and sighed "damn I can't get rid of you can I ... " Though his sentence trailed off a bit noticing the girl was standing there looking at him oddly. "I can'y get rid of you either? Geese why the hell am I popular today" He was merely joking but it was odd that she seemed to seek him out this time, though he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing when it came to light elves.. let alone one with a bow. He seemed weary of her asking his name, sure she probably just over heard it from the conversation just now but why question it. "Recognize... how can you when I've never met.... " He seemed to think on something.. the general of the light elf camp here had her hair color. His face seemed to change a little to more of a blank stare though it was a mix between that and the fact it had just dawned on him he threatened to rape her not just the other day. "Damn it your that weird girl!.. shit what was the name..." He knew it, it was one he said on a daily basis till the war really started up and she stopped coming to the forests edge. "Janet, Jamie .. no ah wait it was Judith right?" He still wasn't sure he was right or not but this was a bit odd for him anyway, though maybe she wouldn't think much on the words he had told her the other day. The dragon pawed at his leg again as he looked down at it and crossed his arms trying to ignore it. "Go to her I already told you that your a pest.. you nearly got me caught today.. twice!" The dragon snorted at him annoyed before he stomped over and sat at Judith's feet. Really he didn't mean half of what he said to the lizard, but he did think it was better off sticking with the girl instead of following him around. |
"Judith," she said confirming that that was her name. Though he now knew who she was she still kept herself away from him, weary of what he could possibly do to her. The other day he had held a knife to her throat and had threatened to do harm to her in more than one way. They had been friends as children but now they were meant to be enemies and nothing more. Judith had wondered where Rhyldrin had been all of this time and deep down she wondered if she would ever run into him on the battlefield. It was an awful thought because what would she do if she had to kill him? Though she always assured herself that it was probably impossible that they would ever meet again or at least recognize each other all these years later. It had been ten years after all. Judith had stopped seeing him shortly after her thirteenth birthday due to the rising conflict between the Dark and Light Elves. Judith wasn't too sure what else to say to him. Asking how he was was definitely out of the question, he probably had no interest in small talk with her. Perhaps it would better for her to leave him be, eventually they might meet again but it could end in bloodshed. She didn't need to build a relationship with him, it would only make things difficult. "It's sad that we have met again under such circumstances." she finally said, her eyes didn't leave him. |
He kept his arms crossed though it was more of the fact he had no idea how to even react to her now. He had really forgotten about her, all this time he had no idea if he had killed the one person who he had enjoyed spending time with as a child. What was he suppose to say to her, he had every intention of killing her brother let alone the other day if she hadn't pulled that dagger he would have done whatever he wanted to her. Had it really been that long he hardly kept track of time.. over ten years and she still had the same eyes.
He looked away from her when she spoke again, trying to still get his mind around the thoughts of everything coming back to him. "Like it would have happened under any other conditions.. " was his short answer to what she had said, though he had a point the war was back and forth and the end seemed to be no where. Though .. it would be nice to have peace back even if there were minor conflicts. 'Now your being stupid.' He scolded himself for even thinking that things could go back to the way they were. Though after a moment he did go back to looking at her with a bit of a smirk. Sure he wasn't one for small talk but he didn't hear any others coming to this area so it was safe enough for the moment. "Its still good to see you again.. to admit it I had forgotten most of our time together till today heh... " He was probably being a bit bold with his next sentence but it's how he was or at least now anyway he had changed a bit from how he acted as a child. "the years have been kind to you I see" Sure he didn't really need to add it but he hardly cared what she thought, given what happened yesterday it's not like he could say anything worse then that. The dragon flipped it's tail being annoyed that it was being ignored by both of them but it soon turned and pawed at Judith's leg before whining a little. He knew he shouldn't just stick around.. it was almost asking for the light elves to find out. Let alone her brother seemed sharp.. he knew something was up even if the girl said nothing. Though getting caught and taken to the commander of the light elf camp didn't seem like a bad idea.. it could work out. |
"I suppose not," she said then shrugged her shoulders. She couldn't help but find it awkward at the moment, perhaps if they did speak a little bit more she would be more comfortable though she didn't think that that would happen. Judith had to be careful, even though they had been friends as children didn't change the fact that they were now enemies. He could easily strike her when he least expected it, though she wouldn't strike him unless it became absolutely necessary. "It's too bad though, isn't it?" she asked then smiled at him. "There really is no longer a reason for the war to continue but it doesn't seem as if it will end any time soon." Judith snorted with laughter at his comment. "Do you always flirt with the enemy?" she asked, she seemed to be teasing him she smiled at him warmly. Ever since she was seventeen men took an interest in her and as she grew older it seemed as if they wanted her even more. Though she never thought much of her looks, Judith was rather attractive. She even caught some of her fellow soldiers eyeing her every now and then. Though that could always just be because she was one of the only women in the war. She hesitated at first but then brought herself closer to him, her eyes wandered over Rhyldrin. "I could say the same about you," she almost whispered it, the words rolled off of her tongue. |
"one day.. " He sighed a little, if his parents had just gotten through all the years ago this wouldn't even take place .. though the king back then would have never listened so nothing probably would have changed in the end. "The sides will figure out it's point less shake hands and be done with the whole damn thing one day .. we'll look back on it and laugh calling them idiots in the process" He said everything with little to no regard he was talking about both leaders of both races of elves let alone insulting them both in the same breath.
He kept his smirk as she asked her question knowing the answer was all too easy. "only the cute ones, so not often" He teased her. not that she had to know but he did commonly flirt with any woman he pleased, though that's all he did. He never stayed in one place long enough to do anything else and he saw anything further as being a distraction instead of just a game. Really he wasn't just saying it because of her looks currently.. he always was fond of her so to speak. He always was a few years older then her even as children so it was only nature that such thoughts crossed his mind before hers... he was fifteen back then after all. He still debated if he trusted her getting closer, but at the same time this was turning into a game for him even if it was a deadly one or at least one that had the potential to be deadly. "heh.. now I know your lying" He laughed at her, that was hardly a comment he got.. aside from one. And it was someone he'd rather see dead in a ditch then to hear the words from her lips. What was she trying to pull here.. he was a bit curious as to why she was being forward, it would seem the Judith he knew as a child had changed a bit. "That mouth is going to get you in trouble one day you know that?" He said with a bit of a laugh, though he kept his thoughts to himself of why he said it. At first he had felt like he should be saying sorry for the other day but if she was going to act like this he almost thought she would have enjoyed it. Though he'd have to watch himself he was getting a bit carried away with these little comments and teases back and forth.. this could end him up in trouble if she was toying with him. Though thinking on the idea of her toying with him, he had to admit he'd hardly mind. But at the same time he didn't want things to go too far either, not here. Somewhere else he might let them take course and see where it ended up but here he didn't have the luxury of taking that chance. Really not wanting to find himself corned by light elves at least not today. "so when should we end this little game hrm?" He smirked a little still keeping his eyes on her, though it was for two reasons one enjoying the veiw.. the other was because he wasn't sure he trusted her just yet to not pull a blade and threaten his breath again. |
"Hopefully that time will be soon, it would be nice to see the Dark Elves and Light Elves finally getting along. Though it would take some years for both to accept each other, ending the war and bringing peace between both will be a good start." Judith looked down at the little dragon who began to whine once again. He crawled up her leg, using her clothes as a latter to bring himself to her shoulder. He perched himself there and let out a soft yawn, it was barely the afternoon and he wanted to nap already or maybe he was bored from not receiving any attention. Judith bit her tongue, afraid of what might slip from her lips if she didn't. She had become quite the flirt over the past few years, Judith had been with men before and if she really wanted to manipulate Rhyldrin she always could. Though, she wouldn't do that to him because of their past and she didn't believe it was necessary at all, she didn't need anything from him. Besides, she didn't think so little of Rhyldrin that she would do that to him. She knew that he wasn't an idiot, even as children he was rather smart for his age. "Cute?" she purred, she had not been called cute before. "That's the first time that someone had called me that." she added, her smile became even bigger. "Have I ever lied to you?" she asked teasingly, Judith wondered how far she could push him before he did something rash. Though maybe it was better she left before any urges overcame him or any overcame her. "To be honest I always found you rather attractive, is that a bad thing?" she looked at him almost innocently. Judith took a step back and threw her shoulders back in a shrug. "I suppose that it can end now, we can't really be caught speaking to each other. Can we?" though she knew that she had to go she really didn't want to. Her skin was crawling with excitement and her heart was pounding in her chest. |
"Just a few years huh.. I doubt your brother if he lives through the war would allow such a peace to happen" Though he said it rather sharply it was the truth, and she probably knew her brother and Rhyldrin were never going to be on speaking terms let alone peaceful ones. "Though.. it would be nice it nearly happened when we were kids" He didn't seem to finish his sentence though he had his reason why he didn't wish to think about that event that triggered the war to spark up again.
"Hrm?" He noticed the odd change in her voice as she repeated the word cute before speaking again. "something wrong with being called that? or would you rather me say it in a more exotic way?" Sure he noticed her expression change but he was going to edge this on a bit longer.. though it needed to end soon he didn't trust the patrol to not walk this far. "ussta ssin'urn 'anon" Though he grinned after speaking knowing very well his common tongue wasn't something light elves studied into. He was hardly planning to tell her what he had said so it didn't matter. He seemed to think on her words "No I guess not.. " He closed one eye still listening to her go on about how she thought about him "flattery will get you no where, and that innocent look isn't covering it" Opening his other eye again he sighed a little. "no we can't, that's why I don't plan on being caught" He said in his usual tone with a hint of being a smart ass and cocky rolled into one. "But I think that's my que to leave" He said with a slight smile to her before making a gesture towards the direction of the light elf camp, a few foot steps could barely be heard through the forests or at least towards this direction but they didn't seem to be in a rush so probably just a patrol. He started to take a few steps back but stopped a moment "we should do this again sometime, maybe in better conditions." The dragon watched Rhyldrin walk off before looking back up at Judith. It seemed confused on if it should stay here or follow the dark elf. Really Rhyldrin had something he was temped to do before he left but he'd leave that for another day, he wanted to test this little mood of hers. She seemed to be completely different from the woman he nearly killed the other day. Though her words stung a little even if he was flattered she would say such things. |
"He would probably be furious if peace came between the Dark and Light Elves, he isn't one to give up." she said it sourly, Judith didn't like her brother that much. Though there was still that love for him because he was her brother and for no other reason. "If it had happened when we were children then we would have never stopped speaking, that would have been nice." Judith allowed her mind to wander a bit, she wondered what would have happened between them if they had continued to see each other. Though when Rhyldrin spoke in another language her attention went back to him. Curiosity grew in Judith's eyes, she wondered what Rhyldrin had just told her, she knew that it was his native tongue and he was probably using it on purpose to tease her. He certainly knew that she couldn't understand it. She was tempted to ask him what he had said, then she decided not to. It was probably better not to know. He had been flirting with her and it could be something that could tempt her to stay longer and she would probably say something without thinking. Though whatever she said she would mean it, Judith was still a kind person but she wasn't as innocent as she use to be. She wondered what Rhyldrin thought of her because of the way she had been acting. "I'm not saying things just to flatter you." she purred, Judith had to try very hard not to giggle. She felt like a child playing with a new toy, though she already had already had this toy before, it just had new features. "I wouldn't want you to be caught either, I'm enjoying this." Judith would look forward to them meeting again, she wondered when that would be. "I will probably be here again, you can find me whenever you want to." she too heard the footsteps, though it just seemed like a few soldiers patrolling the area. They might have been sent to check up on her, to make sure that she was doing what she had been sent out to. Judith looked at the little dragon on her solider and brought a hand to him. "I will have to hide you again for now," she whispered to him. The little dragon crawled into her hand and didn't resist being put into her pocket once again. Judith scratched under his chin lightly before she took her hand out from her pocket. As she headed back to the camp she crossed paths with the two soldiers, they gave her an odd look before carrying on with their conversation. Judith went to her living quarters, her brother wasn't there to question why she was back so soon and there were little soldiers around who she knew. Judith brought the little dragon out of her pocket and placed him on the table by her bed, she crawled into it without hesitated and once she was some what comfortable she let out a sigh. The little dragon chirped and brought himself beside her, he buried himself against her for warmth and closed his eyes. |
Really the whole conversation and the way she had been acting had gotten him thinking a bit, what was keeping this damned war going? Probably a few blood thirsty generals like example her brother. The word he had gotten from listening to some of the light elves was the new King wasn't like the previous.. Rhyldrin was half temped to some day test that.. seeing as he had killed the last one he'd know for sure if it was the same or not.
Quite a bit had changed it seemed... Judith had grown up a bit that was certain though to admit things he had as well. He probably handled his life differently compared to hers but still. After they had stopped speaking as children he never had a moment where he wasn't forced into training or some form of combat. Really he should be thankful for it.. it had kept his ass alive this long. Though that was a rather risky thing to tell him, that she'd be there again... He stopped suddenly in his walk he was far enough away he should be fine but he was checking for something or rather someone. Why did he have a sickening feeling he had been watched during all of this. He knew how to get his answers easily enough as he started walking again. For now he'd act like he didn't think something was amiss. It probably took a good four or five hours to make his way back to where the general he had been taking work from.. till recently when he declared he wasn't following orders anymore. The general seemed to be missing for the time being. That bothered him a little, but he'd stick around the small camp to see if he over heard any odd orders or some form of discussion going on. He'd have to wait till tomorrow to see if his thoughts were correct or not. He shouldn't have gotten reattached to her the more he thought about it the dumber that move seemed to be.. let alone enjoying the company tat much. 'your asking to be slaughtered aren't you..' he half laughed at himself for being a idiot, Judith's brother would love to know that little conversation he'd kill both sides of it in a matter of seconds without hesitation. Though there was a plan to expose Rhyldrin's new found weakness.. it wouldn't go accordingly that was certain. A scout was killed by two paroling light elves just before dark fell.. the scout had a parchment of sorts detailing a plan to set up a ambush.. the general's plan was to capture the girl though with the scout never getting the message to the two or three dark elves it would never be activated. Though from the look of the plan it seemed to just be a simple trap or ambush that was some what close to the light elves encampment. The guards who had killed the scout quickly took the paper to their general. "General Brishen" One of them called out to the head light elf before stopping and bowing towards him extending his hand with the paper. "We found this on a dark elf corpse.. they seemed to be planning something very close to our camp" He breathed out seeing as he had rushed to get the message here as fast as possible. |
It had not taken Judith too long to fall asleep, it was about time that she finally got some proper rest. Though it didn't last more than a few hours. The little dragon had heard the footsteps coming to the tent and quickly hid underneath her bed. Judith was abruptly woken by a Light Elf who had entered her tent. She stared at him, still groggy because she had only woken up. "It seems that we have a problem," the Light Elf said, Judith rubbed her sore eyes and looked up at him. It was a familiar face that she would rather not see. "Your brother wishes to see you, I'm surprised that he had not come to get you himself, he's behaving rather well despite the news that he just received." he smiled at Judith, she wrinkled her nose in disgust when she caught his eyes wandering over her body. "He wants you because of your talent with your bow, we are expecting some visitors tonight." he stepped towards her bed, Judith prepared herself to smack him if needed. It seemed as if he was going to climb into bed with her, the thought of that made her stomach feel knotted. Though he didn't, he reached out his hand to help her from her bed. Judith sat up from her bed and brushed hair away from her face. "I don't need your help," she hissed then stood on her own. She pushed past the Light Elf, if she could stab him without any consequences then she certainly would. His eyes followed her as they always did, no matter how much she rejected him he continued to come after her. "I don't need you to escort me so you can leave now." Judith began to gather her things. The Light Elf hesitated for a moment, his mind was elsewhere. Judith didn't even want to begin to question what he was thinking of. It felt as if he was undressing her with his eyes. "Go!" she barked at him. The Light Elf grinned at her, before he left he spoke once more. "You're a god damn bitch, but I like that." Judith felt sick when she heard him laughing as he walked away. She wondered how such a bastard could become a general, especially with his reputation with woman. If he ever tried anything with her he would get a nasty surprise. All he had to do with give her a reason to hurt him and she would without hesitation. Judith listened to make sure that he had left, she didn't want him following her to her brother's quarters, even if that would be where he would be going as well. She didn't like being alone with that man, when she was seventeen she had quite the incident with him and didn't wish to have anything to do with him. As long as he was in a room with others he seemed to behave, though he still couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Maybe she would tear them out as a punishment for what he had done to her. She wish that she had years ago. Judith breathed in deeply then breathed out, she had to remain calm in the presence of her brother. She had already been testing his patience for the past few days. She took strapped her pouch of arrows to her waist, then her dagger to her right thigh and picked up her bow. Judith looked around the small space, she had not seen where the little dragon had gone. "Don't follow me," she said aloud. "It's for your own good, I will come back later." then she left. When she reached her brother's quarters there seemed to be quite the commotion. There was more men than there usually was and Brishen seemed clearly on edge. When he saw his sister he approached her. "I don't need you to pull any of your crap tonight," he spat at her. "I need your skill, I don't need your bullshit." he added then walked away from her. Judith raised an eyebrow at what he had said. From what the other man had told her she assumed that they were expecting Dark Elves. Brishen cleared his throat and the men fell silent, then he explained why he had brought them all here. Judith rolled her eyes, he was exaggerating the entire situation as he always did and going on another power trip. Judith wondered how someone so clearly insane could be a general. When he was done the men cheered, they were thrilled more than nervous about being able to draw their weapons tonight. Judith chewed on her lower lip, she wondered if she would see Rhyldrin. |
Part of the message did get through so there would be a small gathering of dark elves waiting for the light elves.. though the two sides hardly knew they were about to have a small battle between them both thinking they had the upper hand. It was nearly morning again before Rhyldrin came back to. 'damn... how long was I out..' He hissed a little rubbing his head, it felt like a few hours at least but the time said otherwise.
The general's plan was to ambush the girl to get at Rhyldrin.. so the plan was set for day light hours oddly enough. Though it was easy to tell something was going on.. the camp was empty minus a few that were left behind even the general was still gone. this fact annoyed Rhyldrin as he walked to one of the higher ranked soldiers left here and quickly grabbed him by the neck and slammed him against a tree. "Your going to talk and now" He hissed at him his ears back. The man struggled to free himself and the few others started to walk towards Rhyldrin to make him stop but they didn't get close enough before he spoke again. "Don't think I won't snap his neck, there's still three or four of you here I'll get the information I want in some form or another.. even if its from the last breath of a corpse choking on blood." The threat seemed to work, as it should it was far from a empty one. "Now speak.. what the hell is going on" The man didn't talk at first but Rhyldrin reminded him his life was seconds from ending. "ac... there's a plan.. they were ... t-talking" He choked out slowly, Rhyldrin released the man's neck a little so he could speak better. "well go on" he snapped. "there was a plan to capture someone, apparently they were important they were going to use the person as leverage or something I don't know anything further it was kept among the higher ranks" He seemed to be telling the truth. Rhyldrin released him before storming past him. 'tsk... i warned them yet they still cross me?' The solider was recovering and he certainly wasn't about to follow after Rhyldrin, not after having crossed such a fine line with the mercenary. The others looked at him before helping him stand back up as he coughed and regained him breath. The few at the camp seemed confused as to what just pissed Rhyldrin off. Even from the lack on information he feared that Judith may be in trouble if she kept to her word and was going to return to the same spot.. It took a few hours to get to where he had run into her again from yesterday it seemed empty for the time being.. that was good at the least. Though he quickly went about looking for this general who seemed to have a bone to pick with him. He was exceptionally good at staying hidden and stalking his target for a swift kill.. though it was hard to do a single strike to kill a general. After finding his target he waited till he was sure he wasn't spotted, as far as he could tell it was just this small group of dark elves here.. did they really need this many for just the girl. 'tsk cowards' he thought as he worked his way to being closer to his target. When he had a good striking distance he took it as a sudden sound of steel upon steel could be heard in the silent forest. "Seems that drug wore off" The man laughed a bit trying to force Rhyldrin back but he wasn't getting anywhere with it. "Tsk I warned you to stay out of my way!" He growled at him he was hardly amused with the idea that he had been drugged but it explained why his head was killing him and the fact he didn't remember falling asleep. sure if he knew that the light elves had taken out one of the scouts he wouldn't be willingly fighting his own, but he was rather pissed though now with more then one reason. "you should have stuck to following orders Rhyldrin, but instead you had to go off and do your own thing" The man grinned a bit "but this proves you have a weakness now doesn't it...seems that report I got wasn't as far fetched as I thought." "tsk your not going to live long enough to make use of the information" he hissed out at him before breaking the blade lock and forcing the man against a tree, shortly afterwards he grabbed the back of his head and slammed it downwards as the man's face met his knee. This forced the man to lose his focus as he held one hand on his broken nose with blood running down his face and hand. "what side are you on, your not fighting for them and your fighting your own what the hell are you thinking?" Was the mans yell at him. Rhyldrin hardly cared as he laughed slightly. "I fight for myself, if I wanted to be a damn lap dog I'd have joined the military." this comment made the general angry again as he charged forward swinging his blade violently trying to land a blow, though most of them were out of a mad rage and were missing horribly. |
Her eyes wandered over the crowd, they were all preparing themselves for their encounter with the Dark Elves. Judith's eyes fell on the Light Elf from earlier, when their eyes met she turned away, deciding to leave the crowd. When would he leave her alone? As she left the group of men she could hear her name being called. Judith resisted the urge to turn and see who was calling it, it sounded like her brother's demanding voice. He probably wanted to threaten her to stay our of trouble but he should know her better by now. Even as a child she didn't listen to her parents or any other Light Elves, especially her brother. Judith went to the forest as she pleased no matter how much she got in trouble for it. She did other things too as she got older. Judith had gone back to her tent, avoiding any Light Elves on the way. She would rather be sleeping right now, though she really had no choice. Please Goddess, she thought then brought herself to her bed. Don't let my cross paths with Rhyldrin. Judith brought a hand to her face and rubbed her tired eyes. "You can stop hiding now," she said aloud. Judith expected to hear the little dragon chirp happily but instead she heard someone step into her tent. She looked up alarmed, her nose wrinkled in disgust when she saw a familiar face. "I didn't know that you knew that I was there." her skin crawled when she his eyes wandered over her body. "Get out, Uldric!" she barked, then stood from her bed. Uldric laughed at her, he thought that she was being cute rather than intimidating. The way that he was looking at her made her feel violated. "Are you deaf? Get out!" she nearly screamed it. Judith's face was hot and her skin felt as if it were boiling. Instead of leaving he stepped towards her, he took her wrist in his hand tightly and pulled her close to him. "Why should I do that?" he asked, a smile crept on to his face. He brought his free hand to her waist and pressed her body against his, Judith trembled at the feeling of his body against hers. When she tried to pull away he tightened his grip. "Let go!" she spat in his face, Uldric's smile disappeared and he became angry. "Bitch!" he hissed he threw her to the ground hard without hesitation. "Why do you have to be so difficult?" Judith gasped frantically for air, for a moment it felt as if she couldn't breath. All of the air had rushed out of her lungs when she hit the ground. Judith tried to lift herself from the ground quickly before she could Uldric brought his hand across her face. She let out a cry from the pain, the right side of her face began to throb. She whimpered when she felt him get on top of her, she couldn't allow this to happen. Judith pushed her hands against his chest in an attempt to get him off. Uldric laughed at her, he quickly took her hands in his own ad pinned them down above her head. Judith squirmed under his weight, he wasn't going to do this so easily. Despite her being difficult it didn't stop him from forcefully kissing her. When she felt him push his tongue into her mouth she saw an opportunity. Judith brought her teeth down on his tongue, she gagged when the taste of blood became overwhelming. When Uldric pulled away she let go, he howled like a wounded animal. She should have bit his damn tongue off. "You fucking bitch!" he hissed, he spat blood as he spoke. Judith flinched when she felt some splatter across her face. Uldric reached out a hand to grab her by the neck, Judith bent her arm and brought her elbow across his face hard. She pushed him off of her, Judith quickly stood and took her bow in her hand. When Uldric lifted himself from the ground he looked up at her, his face was twisted with pain. "You broke my nose!" he cried, his voice had a mixture of anger and fear. He held his broken nose in his hand as he stood. Judith prepared herself to strike him with her bow if it became necessary. "Get out!" she barked at him, Judith's wide eyes watched him carefully. She wouldn't allow him to gain the upper hand. Uldric took a step towards her, she swung her bow across his head. "I should kill you," she hissed at him and took a step back. "I should beat your damn head to pieces!" Uldric raised his free hand attempting to show that he no longer wanted to harm her. He slowly backed away towards the entrance of the tent. "Don't think that this is over!" he hissed then left. It took some time before her breathing returned to normal, though her mind was still all over the place. Judith didn't have enough time to dress in clean clothes or to clean up her tent. Knowing Uldric he would run to her brother and tell him that she had attacked him. Even though she could easily prove that he had followed her with the intent of harming her, she didn't have enough energy to do so. "Fuck," she mumbled quietly to herself. She waited another minute before leaving her tent. Judith wasn't sure where to go, she couldn't stay here. |
This fight went back and forth for a while but with the blood the man was losing from his nose he was getting sluggish over time. Finally Rhyldrin saw a opening as he avoided the blade and grabbed his wrist before forcing the man onto his back as he slammed him against the ground. He panted a little knowing this was a fight he shouldn't have survived from not against a general.. they only got that rank from their strength.
The man laid there watching the blade that was pointed at his neck, though Rhyldrin didn't seem to finish him off, not yet at least. In truth he had no intention of finishing the man off but a few of the other soldiers that were with the general decided to jump in as well. There was at least three of them trying to better Rhyldrin they seemed to be more on his level of fighting .. though he was still catching his breath from the last one on one fight. There were two light elf scouts that were told to seek the area of the planned ambush out and report back. Both stayed out of sight of this little brawl going on, it was a odd sight to see though not unheard of. It was known dark elves didn't always get along with one another and would fight if they were from different clans. Though this fight seemed a bit one sided with the group against one. The scouts had no idea what triggered this brawl or why it was going on but they would report it soon. The rest of the soldiers didn't last nearly as long and there was at least a hand full more in the area though for now they id't seem to go after trying to kill Rhyldrin. Though it did seem to be a stand still at the moment as Rhyldrin returned his attention to the general holding the blade to his neck not knowing anything about the two scouts who had left to report back to Brishen. |
Brishen was finishing a speech as the two foot soldiers rushed to him. They pushed themselves through the crowd and pleaded for his attention, they had important news about the whereabouts of the Dark Elves. Brishen smiled, he spat out a few more words then brought his attention to the two men. "What is it?" he asked, demanding to know everything immediately. He raised an eyebrow when the men hesitated to speak. It seemed that all of his men worshipped him but feared him at the same time. One of the men cleared his throat before he spoke. "The Dark Elves are not too far from here, a few minutes into the forest and-" the other man interrupted him, he seemed a bit on edge. "They were fighting one of their own, they seem to be quite distracted. If we go now then we can catch them off guard." they both smiled at Brishen, they knew that he would be pleased with this information. "Though we should still be cautious," one added, the other nodded. "Rushing would not be a smart idea either way." "You two can lead us to them since you know their whereabouts, though don't wander too far from me." Brishen turned and looked over the crowd of men, they had fallen silent as one by one they noticed that he was looking at them now. "Listen now!" he barked, they stood straight and clenched their weapons in their hands. "Follow me and these two men, we now know the whereabouts of the Dark Elves." the men nodded and as Brishen began to walk with the two men they followed. Though he didn't get too far before Uldric approached him, Brishen raised an eyebrow at his condition. "What happened to you?" he asked though really he didn't care too much. Uldric let out a heavy breath, he had been running. "Your damn sister!" he hissed, he still held his broken nose in his hand. "She broke my fucking nose and nearly tore off my tongue!" Brishen roared with laughter, Uldric was slightly surprised by his reaction. "I have no time for this," Brishen said then pushed past him. "Go care for yourself, I will talk to my sister after this but I doubt that she would do that to anyone without a good reason." Brishen didn't give Uldric a chance to speak again, he quickly left with his men. He knew of the incident between Judith and Uldric some years ago and a few other incidents that involved Uldric and women. Brishen wouldn't be surprised if Uldric was up to no good again. He probably deserved worse than a broken nose and sore tongue. |
A few of the other dark elves he had fought before were laying on the ground one being dead and the other two being wounded, but probably well enough to being dead with the light elves coming this way. He still held the general down with the sword tip pressed against his neck, his expression was far from amused he really looked pissed if it came down to it.
The man on the ground finally seemed to snap as he started laughing suddenly. "Tsk what the hell are you laughing at" Rhyldrin growled at him but the man seemed to go on laughing. Whatever he found funny was not going to go over well for Rhyldrin. The few remaining elves from this little ambush kept their distance one one seemed to notice something was up. He finally stopped laughing as he answered Rhyldrin's question. "We were never going to pull this plan off, the scout that had the first order was killed and the light elves took the paper from his body." He started laughing again finding this funny. "You can't take on whatever force they put together to take this little group out.. " He gave Rhyldrin a smile though it was a dark one "one way or another your end is tonight, but it seems the light elves will have the spoils of such a feat." This pushed Rhyldrin over the edge he was already pissed at the idea they were going to use Judith to get whatever they wanted out of him and that weakness being know needed to die with this general. But the idea that he just walked into a trap where they planned it this way after the first mission wasn't going to be executed pushed that last bit of restraint aside as he forced the blade forward and flicked it to the side making sure to fully sever the neck. The other soldiers that heard this looked at Rhyldrin and one backed up a few steps. What were they suppose to think the general was dead and they were just told this was a suicide mission. He was going to tell them to get the hell out of here if they valued their lives... but that wasn't going to happen as a arrow seemed to appear in one of the standing soldiers chests before he fell over. "tsk.. just what i needed.." He hissed out before turning and slamming his sword into a light elf that had tried to get the jump on him. Pulling the blade back he glared a bit at the numbers that seemed to be coming from no where. 'all of this for a mere ambush party.. what the hell was on that paper!' That paper either had some record of a massive invasion army or the commander of this light elf group just wanted to ensure his troops victory. Most of the light elf soldiers that got within blade distance of Rhyldrin fell in seconds, he wasn't giving them a inch and he wasn't about to just roll over due to the numbers. No he was too stubborn for that, though in he back of his mind he feared he would have to cross blades again with Judith, that would be his luck right. But for the time being he didn't see any red heads the commander or her. Probably was for the best he'd lose in his current state if the commander was as good as rumors say... |
( such a lame fight - kicks self - ) Judith's feet pounded against the ground as she ran. Why did it seem as if she couldn't find any peace? All she had wanted to do was rest for the night, to have energy finally but she had to be disturbed by that scum bag. Then she was told about attacking the Dark Elves, then Uldric coming into her tent just moments ago. Her head was pounding so hard the she almost couldn't think clearly. I should have killed that bastard, she thought bitterly. Why had she not killed him? If she had then she wouldn't have to deal with him in the future. Don't think that this is over, that's what he had told her before leaving. Uldric deserved more than a broke nose, sore tongue and a sore head from her bow. Though Judith could easily do harm to him she couldn't bring herself to take his life. She was too kind even to the enemy, soon enough she would cause her own death if she didn't change. She had not ran too far from the camp, the light that surrounded it reflected off of her eyes as she looked back. Thankfully she had been able to avoid any Light Elves, by the time she had left most of them had gathered around her brother to listen to what he had to say. Judith let out a heavy breath, she wondered if finally she could be alone. "You're a pretty one," Judith turned and her eyes landed on a lone Dark Elf. Judith didn't have the chance to speak before he drew his blade and swung it at her. Judith felt the material of her shirt split open, exposing her stomach, she breathed in sharply waiting to see red but he had not touched her flesh. As he swung at her again Judith brought her bow up allowing it to take the hit. It was better to damage her bow than to receive a wound that could potentially be fatal. She could always have this one fixed or purchase a new one. He pulled his blade away from her, he seemed frustrated that he had not been successful at shedding blood, "Damn Light Elf," he hissed. When his blade struck her bow a second time it snapped in half. The Dark Elf brought his free hand to her neck and tightly wrapped his fingers around it. Judith quickly reached for her dagger, he was a fool to think that she would give up so easily and allow him to take her life. Judith quickly brought the dagger to his neck then slide it across his flesh, he dropped his weapon to the ground. The Dark Elf sunk to the ground with his hands pressed against his neck. Judith kept her eyes on him until he no longer breathed. Judith breathed out but quickly held her breath as she felt a sudden pain. She pressed her hands against her stomach, they felt warm and wet as she brought them away. "Fuck," she mumbled, the Dark Elf had slid his blade across her stomach before she did the same to his neck. Though at least it didn't seem as deep as she had feared it might be, she would certainly live. She still needed medical attention of course. |
There seemed to be less of the dark elves left as the time went on this wasn't looking good. Rhyldrin may have killed his own kind before but about this time the back up was nice to have. Sinking his blade into yet another light elf and pulling it back he spotted the red haired commander of this group. 'shit.. with this many why bother coming to the front lines' he hissed in his thoughts before backing away.
He didn't have the energy to keep up in a fight against anyone with half decent skills. He needed to avoid the commander at all costs that was certain. Though his thoughts of retreating were disrupted as a light up came up behind him and nearly landed a good hit to his neck. Though he manged to notice and move or at least avoid most of the blade as he spun and slammed his weapon into it. Though the light elf did manage to nick his shoulder a bit in the process. This bold solider was rewarded as Rhyldrin moved his other blade across his stomach and let him fall to the ground, he'd bleed out soon enough. "tsk.. I'm going to end up getting killed if I stick around here.. " He sighed under his breath tough it was from a lack of energy instead of his normal annoyed sigh. The few dark elves that were left were keeping the light elves plenty busy minus a few that seemed to target Rhyldrin.. though none of them lasted more then a few seconds or past getting one strike off. After slaying a few more of the light elves brave or dumb enough to come after him he finally managed to slip away from the fighting. Breathing heavily he kept from running, it would only wear him out faster and in the case he was seen leaving the battle he didn't want to be without any strength to fight. 'he was right there ... damn it' He hissed at himself in his mind knowing he wanted nothing more then to get revenge on that red haired elf for the wound from his child hood. He walked for a while before he even noticed the wound on his shoulder as he put his hand over it to try and quell the bleeding a little. He'd have to deal with it later, stopping now to take care of it would be foolish. He was pretty sure he was headed in the right direction at least.. it'd take most of the night at this rate.. well and most of the day but he could make it to a sort of safe grounds then deal with the wound. He was lucky that a few scratches and that one gash was all he ended that miniature war with. His ears twitched as he heard something near by. Pulling his hand from his shoulder he quickly had both blades in his hands and seemed more then ready to strike at whatever was near by. Standing there a moment he heard a slight noise again though whatever it was seemed to be trying to avoid being detected. This was still close to the light elf camp.. but it should have been far enough to not have any of the troops at least from the battle. Keeping his weapons in hand he waited and stalked the slight movements he kept hearing from time to time till he narrowed down the area they were in. By this time he could hear the sound of someone breathing though it seemed slightly labored or at least out of breath.. Maybe it was a wounded light elf after all though he wouldn't have guessed what one it was. He started to take the advantage on the unknowing light elf but stopped short a few feet from his strike. "Judith?" He questioned her, that wasn't what he was expecting by any means. Though he did quickly notice there was a dark elf corpse near by and that she seemed to be bleeding. He sighed a little putting the blades away, at the least this wasn't going to lead into a fight.. or he hoped not. "Your a mess.. " He finally said looking her over, there seemed to be blood all over her hand that was on her stomach and a bit on her face, he guessed from the dark elf where his neck was slashed. He wasn't sure if approaching her was a good idea at the moment, not if she was still in a fight or flight mind set.. Waiting a few minutes he held both hands up for a second before walking over to her. "what the hell are you even doing all the way out here? The battles that way ya know?" He made a lazy gesture towards the direction he had came from in the first place though he knew she didn't want to be apart of that mess.. But it was odd she was all the way out here almost in the middle of no where let alone from the looks of it she was leaving the camp site. "you don't have to answer that, but that wound needs attention either way" Going off the amount of blood it didn't seem that bad.. but it could cause her to become light headed if she was planning to let it go till the blood clotted to close it. Aside from that it would be hard for it to heal if it wasn't closed properly anyway, though he didn't see her accepting his help that easily.. thus why he never offered in the first place but instead made the suggestion. |
Judith breathed out heavily, she had to have the wound stitched and bandaged to prevent an infection. Even though the bleeding couldn't kill her then an infection certainly could. Though it wasn't deep she couldn't allow it to bleed any more than it already had, Judith had began to feel a bit light headed as she pushed herself in the direction of the Light Elf camp. With her luck Uldric would be at the medical tent receiving attention for the wounds that she had given him. Judith had not moved far from the Dark Elf's body before she heard a sudden noise. Her ears shot up and she listened curiously, was it another one? In her current state she could only take so much. When she heard her name her heart throbbed in her chest, she was happy to see a friendly face. Though she wondered how friendly Rhyldrin would be considering how he had tried to kill her just the other day and considering what was happening tonight. "I-" she hesitated to speak, really she couldn't explain why she had chosen to wander so dangerously close to the forest. What had she expected to happen? She should have known better than to do so with all of the Dark Elves about. "I'm an idiot, that's why." she mumbled quietly to herself. Did she really look that bad? She wondered if her face had bruised from Uldric striking her earlier, her wrists had bruises from him holding them so tightly. "I didn't know where to go, I shouldn't have come so close to the forest. I should have thought of something else but really my mind isn't in the right place right now." she laughed quietly to herself, thinking about it even more made her feel worse. "I just had a run in with one of the Light Elves, I didn't want to stay at the camp knowing that he would cause a fuss and blame me for the entire situation so... I fled." she looked up at Rhyldrin and smiled weakly. Judith didn't feel like going into details really. "I can get treated in the camp, why are you worrying about me?" she seemed to be teasing him. Though she wondered if he really was concerned for her well being. It was kind of cute. She stumbled a bit, nearly falling over in the process. |
Listening to her say she was a idiot he nodded a bit "I'd agree with that, for someone who says they don't want to kill.. remind me to stay off your bad side" It wasn't the smartest idea that she choose to venture off on her own not with the whole miniature war going on almost outside of the light elf encampment by now. Though he could hardly say anything about her killing a dark elf.. he probably just killed three of his own and then at least 6 or so light elves.
She had a slight mark on her face and her wrists were marked up, he knew that this fight wasn't the cause of them .. but she seemed to not want to go into details so he'd leave it at her being a idiot as her excuse. Though the markings made him question how different light elves were from dark elves if they pulled such stunts with their own. He listened to her again explaining a little more why she left the camp, it added up a bit more now and it confirmed what he had thought had happened from the start. Though he wasn't sure what to tell her in truth .. if she didn't feel safe at the camp of her own what was he suppose to tell her. Then again he never felt safe with his own kind either so it wasn't that strange to him. He didn't say anything that he could guess something like that happened or that he could figure out a few details without her telling him just by the markings. "tsk well go back to camp then, I'll go about my way and leave you here" He started to turn and walk away from her meaning what he had just said though he stopped and seemed to hesitate doing so after she seemed to nearly fall over. It half caused him to flinch but he caught himself from doing so 'why do you care.. damn it you have your own problems without adding to them' he scolded himself for bothering to waste his time he should have just kept going. He started to keep to his words of leaving her where she stood.. but it seemed to eat away at his thoughts if he did that. His ears went back a little as he grew annoyed at his own thoughts before he spoke. "you have two choices either you start walking or I'm going to do something you won't like" He didn't explain what he was going to do .. but he was going to wait and see if she started walking or not and even then he didn't think she was going to get that far. |
Judith watched Rhyldrin for a moment, wondering what she could possibly say to him. "I don't like to shed blood but if someone is going to threaten my life or cause me harm then I will defend myself." she seemed a little bitter as she spoke. The last thing that Judith wanted to do was take the life of another but she wouldn't allow herself to die. "I value my life quite a bit, even if you intended to harm me then I would defend myself." she smiled at him, though if he went to harm her now she barely had the energy to defend herself properly. "What are you going to do if I can't walk?" she asked, Judith pressed her hand against her wound, she cringed at the feeling of it throbbing. She had been wounded before but had not received a wound of this size, it was new to her. Judith wanted to walk, she pushed herself to take a few steps but then it felt as if she continued her damn legs would give in. She didn't know how much blood she had lost by now, she felt rather light headed. "Fuck it," she mumbled quietly to herself. "I can't walk, I feel as if I'm going to collapse." |
Sounded like a answer she'd give him, he deserved that snappy retort really. He was teasing her after all knowing that she didn't like killing yet she was forced into a situation where she had to. He didn't say anything, really he didn't want to get her worked up she was already in bad enough shape without her getting a temper with him.
Crossing his arms he simply stood there watching her, sure she was trying but it was easy enough to tell it was a struggle. He just repeated himself when she asked what he was going to do. "Like i said you won't like it" Really truth be told he wanted nothing more for her to just walk back to her damn camp and then he wouldn't have to do what he was about to.. He already had enough problems without adding to them and recently they seemed to fall into his lap. He sighed after she spoke again he could have told her that just by looking at her. "Don't say I didn't warn you.. and if you scream I swear by the goddess I'll drop you on the spot." He seemed to be warning her though it was hardly a fair one as he walked towards her and suddenly picked her up, sure in normal cases he'd have just slung her over one shoulder and carried her that way but it probably wasn't the best idea with the wound she had. So instead it was a forced bridal style so to speak. He started walking though it was hardly towards her camp, not like he could just walk her to the camp anyway and he wasn't sure he trusted whoever she was trying to avoid in her current state.. if she was in good health he might care a bit less. "Don't say I didn't warn that you wouldn't like it.." He still never mentioned where he was going to take her to, though it was the only place he knew to bother going to or at least knew that had the supplies he needed to tend to her wound and his shoulder.. carrying her was hardly helping. Though she still had the option to complain or tell him to put her down, he'd leave her to her own then if she wanted to be that stubborn. Though she hardly put a fight up when he first picked her up.. so he really doubted she was going to have the energy to complain too much. |
Judith bit her tongue when he warned her not to scream, she didn't feel like being dropped and left on the ground as she bled out. Judith looked away from Rhyldrin, for a moment her cheeks burned and became red. For the first time in what seemed like forever she felt comfortable. "How romantic," she said teasingly, she looked up at him and smiled. "Do you always care this much for others or am I an exception?" her eyes wandered over Rhyldrin, she wondered what was making him do such a thing. He didn't have to help her, he could have just left her there to care for herself. She couldn't even begin to imagine the trouble that he would get in if he was spotted brining a Light Elf to safety. Judith closed her eyes, they felt rather heavy and she felt sleepy. Though she wouldn't allow herself to fall asleep in his arms, she wanted to know where he was taking her. Though she wanted to trust Rhyldrin she couldn't let her guard down even for a second. Even if they had been friends as children and seemed to get along as adults for now he could easily turn on her and decide that she wasn't worth saving or perhaps he didn't plan to save her at all. He could always be tricking her. Judith felt small in his arms, she had not thought about it before this but he really was quite tall and much bigger than herself. "Am I heavy?" she asked curiously, she wondered if her weight was nothing to him. Judith had a small frame, she was a tiny little thing compared to Rhyldrin. |
He made a slight face at her saying this was romantic though he quickly smirked thinking on it for a second "you won't be saying that once you notice where I'm going" He laughed at it really knowing she wasn't going to like it and he was going to have to pull one of his tales out of thin air as to what he was doing. Though that was easy enough to do or at least for him, avoiding trouble was a talent he had even if it was avoiding him for the time being.
Really he wasn't sure why he was helping her, everything told him to kill her or to just leave her and go about his way. Though he figured it was because he knew her as a child.. maybe he did care for her was it a crime.. well yeah it was give or take. "Tsk.. if you keep talking and asking stupid questions I could always change my mind" He said bluntly to her asking if she was a exception. He wasn't going to give in and say yes she was, he normally never thought twice about killing light elves what the hell was wrong with him. Even though he was carrying her and still being worn out from the fighting earlier he still seemed to be alert enough. Even getting closer to the dark elf patrolled areas he didn't trust letting his guard down, though he'd still be a easy target if anyone noticed his shoulder and tried to strike that first while he was carrying Judith. But for now any of the scouts in the area seemed to leave him alone, and the fact he killed the general of the camp near here would never be known thanks to the light elves. When she spoke again asking a odd question he looked at her a moment before rolling his eyes. "You still talk a lot.. " He waited a few moments before he answered her question "Not really, I've been through enough training by now your not a problem to carry.. not like when we were kids and you were a struggle to drag anywhere." Mostly when he had to drag her out of harms way or get her out of trouble.. like one time she fell into a hunter trap.. though to admit it that was funny to him. Till she asked he never really noticed that he was a good head or two taller then her, it was almost impressive she could stand her own in the war front really with her size and build. Though he also didn't give in enough to the conversation to tell her that carrying her this far was bothering his shoulder.. but he still questioned inf this was smart or not she could choose to pull a dagger and stab him at any point and being this close he'd never be able to avoid it. He walked a bit further before he spoke again seeing as they were within view distance of a overly large cavern he decided it might be a good idea to explain something to her. "I'd ignore 90% of what I say here soon.. and this is probably where I should remind you I did say you wouldn't like it" |
Judith opened her eyes and looked up at him, though he never told her where he was bringing her she had an idea of why she wouldn't like it. She decided not to question him about where he was taking her, she didn't want to push his buttons. "You know how I am," she said to his comment about her asking stupid questions. "I find interest in almost everything, I'm naturally curious." Judith smiled warmly at Rhyldrin though that smile disappeared when he mentioned dragging her around when they were children. "If I remember you were quite a hassle." she mumbled, she reluctantly allowed her eyes to close. Judith was afraid that she could fall asleep at any moment. "I remember that you had quite the temper and always wanted to teach someone a lesson," she laughed quietly to herself remembering a few times where she had convinced him to not do anything rash. "There was a few times when I was afraid that you would even turn on me. I know that I was a chatterbox back then and if you don't know by now I still am." Judith wiggled a little bit in his arms in an attempt to become for comfortable, she kept her hands to herself not knowing if he would allow her to hold on to him. "I understand," she said then opened her eyes. When she looked around they were in an entirely different place, had she fallen asleep for a few moments? She didn't remember the last thing that she had said though she heard what Rhyldrin had told her. "I'll keep to myself then and be quiet, I don't want to cause you any trouble." |
He made a slight face remembering what she was talking about. "well.. you grow up without parents and see how you turn out.. I could have been like your brother" He had a point he wasn't THAT bad. He only liked fighting cause it's the only thing he was phrased over as a child after his parents were gone. So it was pretty much put into his head that it was something he had to do and light elves were to be killed.. though he never saw Judith as just another light elf like the others..
"I still have a temper.. it's just more under control now" Though there were a few things that set it off, the thought of being used was one of them and then the idea of being ordered around. He would be called a rebel by most of his kind by not following any order even if it was directly from the Queen herself. But he hardly feared anyone either.. even if it was a fight he couldn't win he never backed down from it. "Yeah I noticed.." He said flatly to her saying she was still a chatterbox. He didn't really mind her talking, really it was because of her talking so damn much he even became friends with her, he wouldn't have spoken to her back then that was certain. "But I guess I can't yell at you for asking questions.. " He sighed a little, though he never asked many as a child he didn't have the luxury of asking or at least not around his own. He shook his head "your hardly trouble, this will be easier then me just returning for no reason heh.." He tried to avoid coming back home, not really because he was disliked here.. but it put him too close to a certain someone he'd rather avoid. Though if she saw this he might be able to get rid of her there's a idea. A guard walked over to him as they got close to Rhyldrin already had a remark in the waiting for anything this guy had to say. "Well damn and here someone was going around saying you were dead in a ditch somewhere!" The guard laughed a bit he didn't seem to even question the girl, though others probably would. "I'll take a guess at who said that... tsk.. He's not that lucky" Rhyldrin seemed to know who the guard was talking about and wasn't amused with being told he was suppose to be dead. The guard nodded a little and started to half walk with Rhyldrin "well he's only wishing that so he'd have a chance with the Queen's daughter.." He cut the guard off rather quickly before he said anything further "He can have her, Id rather she go annoy someone else instead of me" He really seemed annoyed by now, thats the last thing he wanted to talk about was the queen's daughter or rather eldest daughter. The guard laughed slightly though it was a bit of a nervous one "still the same I see.. well I need to watch that post for another few hours, stop by the bar sometime while your here a few of the others would love to know your still kicking and still as irritable as ever" He started to walk off laughing after his last sentence. Being inside by this point Rhyldrin frowned a bit thinking about what was just said to him "Im not irritable... pff.. " he muttered to himself as he walked, though it was odd the guard never said a word about Judith. But then again it wasn't uncommon for dark elves to take captives.. just it was rare for there to be light elf females on the front lines, not that it stopped some from getting a hold of commoners that weren't part of the war. Aside from getting a few odd stares and muttered comments behind his back he seemed to be left alone. That was all good by him, he'd have to deal with most of the whispers later. He probably spent another twenty or so minutes walking before he came to a door though it seemed to be open. "... " He didn't say a word before he kicked it and noticed there was another male dark elf inside who seemed to see a ghost as Rhyldrin walked in. "Tsk you go about saying im dead then have the nerve to be in my home? What the hell I mean really what gave you the idea I was dead." He didn't sound like he was that surprised this man was in here or the fact that he had been accused of being dead. Though he walked past him and sat Judith on the bed that was in a room off to the side before he walked back out and stood in the door way of the room he left her in. "Thats what I was told! don't go getting pissed at me because of what i was told, some of the soldiers from the eastern general's group came back off duty saying you were a dead man" He threw both hands into the air before walking towards Rhyldrin. "Id rather you not be dead myself, who else am I suppose to run to when my wife's pissed?" The man seemed to smile a bit before he gave Rhyldrin a odd look and asked the question he knew was coming. "where did you find that? Let alone one that wasn't dead" Rhyldrin shook his head a little "im lucky what can i say" He smirked a bit before walking past the guy and towards a different room getting a small box out and then walking back past him and towards Judith. "lucky.. pff your lying. I know you better then that, hell I know that your not even going to touch her" The man crossed his arms and leaned against the door way watching Rhyldrin. Sighing he set the box next to Judith and looked at the man still standing there. "It's my business, I already had a run in today with someone who didn't stay out of my business.. id advise that you don't make that mistake." The other dark elf nodded a little with a nervous laugh "I never said I was prying that much.. I don't feel like making my wife a widow just yet. You'll be the first to know when I'm tired of breathing." He said as he moved a hand to adjust his glasses on his face, he seemed to be about Rhyldrin's age maybe a few years older. Though his build was slender and he was a few inches shorter then Rhyldrin. He was about to go back to what he was doing so he could fix Judith's wound up when someone else seemed to come from no where and slammed Rhyldrin into the wall on the side of the room holding his neck. "Eck.. hi Neimi ... " He forced out before grabbing her hand and getting her to release him so he could get air again. "How dare you come back and didn't stop by to say hello! Your as bad as this one!" She said pointing to the man that had been there the whole time. "yeah.. wait hey!" The man nearly agreed with the woman. Rhyldrin sighed a little this was why he didn't want to come back here.. too much attention. The woman blinked a few times as she noticed that Judith was there. Her addittude seemed to change instantly seeing the girl, the woman herself was at least a few inches taller then Judith and had a soft pink hair color with pink eyes. "AW! oh she's adorable!" She seemed to get out in a higher pitch then she was talking before. Rhyldrin sighed before walking between the woman and Judith "Can I finally get back to what the hell I was doing in the first place? I swear I've not been gone more then a year and people are making a fuss over it tsk.." He said with hissing the last part out before he moved his attention to the box again and looked for what he was trying to do from the start. "Lay down and don't scream, i'll try to numb it before using the needle" He was speaking to Judith though she was probably a bit confused by all of this going on. The woman titled her head before smiled a bit "Well that explains everything" The man next to her seemed still lost. She sighed before speaking. "Remember who his parents where? or what he was studying before the damned war broke out?" He was still confused as she grabbed his collar and her ears went back "Your hopeless why did I marry you again?" |
Judith's ears dropped when Rhyldrin mentioned that he could have been like her brother. She wasn't too sure what to say to him, though it wouldn't be good things about her brother to defend him. They had been raised by two loving parents, despite them disliking Dark Elves and a few other things they were good people. Judith wondered what had caused Brishen to become the man that he was, then again Judith wondered why she had turned out the way she was. She had not allowed what her parents, the elders or any other adults influence her and shape her opinions. She felt nervous as Rhyldrin spoke to the guard, Judith was afraid that he would discover what Rhyldrin was really up to. She didn't want to cause Rhyldrin trouble, really she was surprised that he had picked her up and intended to care for her. She could have made it back to the camp some how despite her current state, she didn't have to be such a burden. She breathed out heavily, relieved that the guard had not bothered Rhyldrin about why he had her. Judith opened her eyes and looked up at Rhyldrin, she still didn't know what would drive him to do such things other than he really was a good person deep down inside. She wanted to ask him but decided not to, there were other Dark Elves around and she could ear them whispering and feel their eyes on her. At first she was confused as to why Rhyldrin had kicked opened the door, then after listening to their conversation it made sense. Judith let out a heavy breath when she was placed on the bed, it wasn't the most comfortable but it was better than being on the floor or the cold ground. Judith kept quiet, she didn't think that speaking right now would help Rhyldrin. If they seemed too friendly with each other it could make the entire situation suspicious, but then she heard the man say I know you better then that, hell I know that your not even going to touch her. Judith wondered if Rhyldrin had done this before, perhaps this Dark Elf just knew Rhyldrin well enough to know what he actually intended to do. Judith nearly jumped out of the bed when another one appeared, though she calmed down once Rhyldrin seemed to be in no danger. Hell, what was she going to do if he really was? She really couldn't do anything in her current state. Judith bit her tongue afraid of making any comments that would upset the woman. She was adorable? It seemed as if she was a pet rather than another Elf to this woman and that made Judith upset. Though she knew that she couldn't say anything, she didn't even know if she could speak to the two other Dark Elves as she would with Rhyldrin. He was certainly different than the others, Judith wondered if the other Dark Elves would bother him because he brought back a living Light Elf. Then again females were quite hard to come across, at least female Light Elves and Judith was quite attractive despite being beat up. Maybe they wouldn't question him too much about bringing her here. "I'm not going to scream," she mumbled quietly to herself. She knew that if she did it would just cause a commotion and she had had wounds tended to before. She didn't like the feeling of a needle piercing her skin or the feeling of thread closing her wound though she would tolerate it to prevent herself from getting an infection. Her eyes wandered over to the two other Dark Elves, she wondered how long they would stay. |
It was easy enough to tell that Judith seemed tense with the other two here. Though he'd tell her later that she could talk these two were hardly a threat, aside from one of them being a pervert. Instead of telling her right away he went about tending to the wound on her stomach, though it was probably not what she was expecting. It took a few moments to finish the work he had to do on it including the cleaning and stitching it.
Once he was done he started putting some of the supplies away before speaking. "don't ask what I used to numb it because you won't like the answer. But you probably didn't feel anything due to it." The woman watched the girl before looking at Rhyldrin with a smile though she seemed to calm down a little. "So did you think about how your going to get her back to her camp without getting yourself caught ?" She seemed to be teasing him a little with this. Rhylkdrin glared at her before walking past though he stopped and looked at Judith "You can talk .. they don't bite just slap this one if he start saying anything stupid" He finished walking out of the room to put the box away but he had pointed towards the male with glasses. "what could i say that's stupid?!" he protested though the woman glared at him when he spoke so he seemed to shut up. She returned her attention to Judith before giving her a warm smile "im sure this is all a bit unnerving, but not all of us want to kill the Light elves" The man seemed annoyed that he wife said such a thing, though he was rewarded with a quick elbow to his side from her. She seemed to think a little before speaking again "oh i know are you hungry? it'll do you good to eat and keep your strength up. You'll recover faster then." She still seemed to smile though she did turn to poke her head out of the room "Oh Rhyldrin... your cooking soon right?" Rhyldrin was hardly amused by her tone "tsk what is this a inn now?" Though he was cut off from saying anything further as she grabbed his arm with the hurt shoulder. "Be nice.. or else I'm going to see how much pain you can take before you scream." She said it in a almost evil voice as she released his arm she was just making her point that she had noticed the blood on his shoulder. Sure the woman seemed to be nice enough to Judith but to the two males here she was hardly giving them a inch. Though that's how it normally was with dark elves, but even with that being said Rhyldrin was hardly a push over... though in this case he gave up on trying to be stubborn, he didn't have the energy for it. |
It was good that Rhyldrin had numbed her wound taking away any pain from him tending to the wound. If she had felt him piercing her skin with the needle she might have felt sick. She didn't do too well with having her wounds treated or having wounds to begin with. Perhaps that was another reason why she avoided conflict with others. Judith felt less nervous when Rhyldrin told her that the other two Dark Elves were alright to talk to. Though she didn't feel completely comfortable yet, she didn't even fully trust Rhyldrin yet even though he had just tended to her wounds. The war had done that to her, she felt as if she couldn't trust anyone as easily as she use to. Judith couldn't even bring herself to trust her own kind, she had her reasons of course. She was surprised that she didn't hate Light Elves by now or even Dark Elves from her experiences with them in the war. Though she continued to remind herself that not all of them were the same. Judith sat up when Rhyldrin left her side, she hung her legs over the side of the bed and let out a sigh. "That's comforting," she said and smiled at the woman, she really did mean that. It was good to hear a Dark Elf say that. Though Rhyldrin helping her was certainly proof enough. Despite how he had wanted to kill her just the other day and do other things as well. "If it helps not all Light Elves wish to do harm to Dark Elves." she added, Judith looked at the man who stood by the woman. "Can I really slap him if he bothers me?" she asked and laughed quietly, she was only joking and hoped that the man took it as one. "Food does sound good but I really don't want to bother Rhyldrin," she said and smiled weakly at the two. Though that didn't stop the woman from bothering Rhyldrin about it. "Though if he doesn't mind cooking then that would be good and I will eat." really Judith felt as if she could fall into the bed and sleep for days without waking. Her eyes felt heavy and were unbelievably sore. |
"Hrm? Yes you can really slap him.. it'll save me from doing it later" The woman answered Judith's question even if it was just a joke. The man held his hands up before speaking "i'll be doing nothing stupid thank you.. Not if Rhyldrin is watching this girl... I have no death wish thanks" His ears dropped slightly though he did mean it, he wasn't going to be doing anything or saying anything too out of the way. "really I have to get back to my errands... need to make sure the scribes don't cause the other book keepers too much trouble and all" He sighed before giving the woman Rhyldrin had called Neimi a kiss and leaving.
She watched him walk off before she returned her attention to Rhyldrin. "There see she wants food and get moving" She said half trying to push him towards the kitchen.. though he didn't move at all. "I can hear... try asking instead of ordering me around hrm?" He took a step forward almost making the woman lose her footing as she glared at him. Though he hardly seemed bothered by all of this. "You better fix enough for three!" she called to him before crossing her arms. Walking back into the room she smiled weakly at Judith. "So do you have a name or did he finally snap and start rescuing light elves without knowing them?" The woman knew better then Rhyldrin helping just anyone so she could take a guess this girl was someone he knew or at least spoke with before. He wasn't meaning to be really prying into the business between the two but it was odd to see Rhyldrin help anyone.. let alone a light elf. Aside from that how many chances did you get now a days to talk to the other side openly. She seemed to think about something else when she stood there a moment longer, though Rhyldrin was probably out of ear shot for this or he would have commented to put her in her place. "or are you two... well you know" The woman was about Judith and Rhyldrin's age so such thoughts weren't that out of the question. Though she was teasing a little with her question just wanting to see how the girl would react. |
"My name is Judith," she said to the woman, her eyes wandered over to the doorway of the room that Rhyldrin had disappeared into. "And well, I have known Rhyldrin for quite some time but we have only recently met again." Judith chewed on her lower lip, she wouldn't tell the woman everything about their past just a few details. She didn't want to talk too much and bore her. "I was quite the rebel when I was a child, I lived in the Light Elf capital and did as I pleased despite what my parents told me." she laughed then continued. "I use to go to the forest close by all the time, one day I bumped into a wounded Dark Elf, it was Rhyldrin. To be honest I think that I really annoyed him, I talked a lot and always asked questions. After I left I thought that I would never see him again because I thought that I had scared him off with my constant talking." Judith brought her eyes back to the woman, she hoped that she wasn't talking too much. "He wasn't there the first few days, but then I bumped into him again. He started showing up every now and then, we became friends. Though our friendship came to an abrupt halt when tension between the Dark and Light Elves began to rise, my parents stopped letting me out of the house. Then the war broke out and well..." she paused a little allowing herself to breath. "I never saw him again, well until the other day. I didn't even recognize him at first. It really surprised me when I realized that it was him." she seemed a little sad for a moment, Judith had always wondered if she would find Rhyldrin in the war. "I'm sorry," Judith felt the need to apologize. She really did talk quite a bit, didn't she? She smiled weakly at the woman. "I do talk too much." she laughed maybe she should learn to talk less, but she hardly thought that was possible. She looked back over at the doorway that Rhyldrin gone through. "Rhyldrin what are you making?" she asked aloud, she had gone back to teasing the poor man like she had earlier today. Judith felt a bit more comfortable once the woman made it clear that she didn't dislike Light Elves and that she wasn't a threat. "Huh?" Judith looked back at the woman with a confused expression, though that shortly changed into an almost embarrassed one. Her face burned and turned red from her question. She really didn't have to make what she had asked any clearer, Judith knew that she was asking if they were doing anything sexual. "No!" she said quickly, her voice was a bit higher than before. She had never thought of her and Rhyldrin being together like that. |
Neimi seemed to intently listen to the story though she hardly seemed shocked by any of it as she made a comment near the end or at least the part where she mentioned seeing Rhyldrin multiple times as a child. "well.. that explains why he always vanished " she laughed slightly letting Judith go on with her story. "so i see.. thats almost like a romance novel I read once.. where the two were forced to part for many years and upon finding one another again they had long but forgotten the time they had shared." She smiled at Judith merely joking about it all but it was like a book she had read.. just the real story she just heard was hardly romantic.. and she never saw Rhyldrin do anything even remotely hinting towards him wanting to do anything with a female.
"no your fine hun, if you hung out with him as a child one of you had to talk because I know he hardly says more then a few words." She smiled at Judith it was rather funny really. They seemed to be opposites Judith and Rhyldrin yet they had become friends at a early age.. apparently that had affected his state of mind now even if it was just towards one light elf. Rhyldrin seemed to not be paying the little girl chat going on any mind as he was busy and trying to stay awake himself from the lack of energy. "Light elf stew f your going to be damn picky" was his short tempered reply to her question. Neimi shook her head a little. "im sure your probably use to some of his remarks by now.. he gets that way at times." She seemed to stop from saying anything further, though she was going to say his parents were never short with anyone. When Judith's face turned red and she squeaked out a no the woman smiled before moving to sit next to Judith. "You say no but your mind must be thinking something else.. or else your face wouldn't be the color of a over ripened berry" She said before giving one of Judith's cheeks a lite poke with a finger. Though she smiled afterwards and laughed lightly. "im just teasing you, I wouldn't expect you to tell me if you were thinking any bad thoughts about him." |
If Judith were a balloon then she would have deflated when Neimi poked her. "I just-" she wondered if she could say anything to really defend herself. Now she was thinking about it, perhaps a little bit too deeply though she dismissed the thoughts quickly. Judith could never see herself being intimate with Rhyldrin, he probably didn't have such interests with her anyways. "I have never thought about that." she squeaked, her cheeks burned even more. Judith hoped that Rhyldrin had not heard that part of their conversation, her stomach felt knotted. "Trust me," she laughed a bit before she continued. "I could never think bad thoughts about Rhyldrin, only good." Judith didn't speak again after that, she didn't want to fuel the subject anymore. Judith's ears dropped, Rhyldrin seemed quite irritated. "Well, I do know that he has quite the temper. He told me that he has it under control more now but..." she smiled at her, Judith wanted to change the subject though she wondered if Neimi would keep it going despite Judith bringing something else up. "When we were young he always seemed mad about something, he always wanted to teach someone a lesson and put them in their place." for a moment Judith drifted off into her own thoughts, she smiled remembering a few times where she had convinced Rhyldrin to calm down. "I think that I saved him quite a few times from getting in potentially dangerous situations." |
She laughed again watching the girl stutter on her words trying to defend herself. "hey like i said don't worry on it i was teasing, I don't think anyone could stand him in that way to be honest" She smiled at Judith and waved her hand a little in the air she seemed to speak up a little this time "he'll die a irritable lonely man is all" she laughed harder after her statement.
Rhyldrin did hear what Neimi said as he looked towards the room oddly "I don't even want to know why the hell that was brought up.. " He quickly waved off the statement from his mind he didn't want to know. Two females chatting together he really didn't want to know.. it didn't help with how Judith acted the other day.. Neimi would encourage such actions.. she was like a sister to him always trying to 'help'. Neimi frowned a bit nodding "well.. he tends to avoid coming home for extended periods of time.. being alone he might have his temper under control.. he just isn't use to dealing with others i think heh..." She almost seemed worried about him, though she never told Judith it had been a few years at least when he was last home. Though she smiled again when Judith mentioned she had tried to keep him out of trouble as a child. "good thing someone was looking after him, no one around here had the time it seemed. It's kind of amazing he doesn't hate the world really.. he never had it easy not after er.. forget i said anything" she nearly spilled it that his parents were killed by light elves let alone that Rhyldrin was the one who took the mission to kill the last king. After a while longer Rhyldrin finally seemed to finish whatever he was working on in the kitchen and brought two bowls to the room Judith and Neimi was in handing them both to Neimi. "theres more if you want it and stop pestering Judith you've both been talking non stop." He shook his head a little before leaving the room, he wasn't normally this bitter but his shoulder was killing him and the lack of energy was making him all the more irritable. Neimi blinked a little before carefully handing a bowl to Judith. It seemed to be a sort of stew with vegetables and meat though Neimi looked it over a little. "well i guess that's the best he could do.. we didn't keep the things here stocked up much.." She laughed slightly, though she stopped when she heard water running from another room. Sitting the bowl she had down she poked out of the room and yelled "be in a better mood when you get out!" She huffed and walked back in taking a chair that was near the bed this time and poking at the contents in the bowl a little. Rhyldrin ignored the comment to be in a better mood, he'd be better after eating something getting his shoulder dressed and getting a few hours of a nap in at least. Plus he wanted Neimi to leave though at least Judith did seem to enjoy the company. Or at least from what he could tell. |
Judith laughed and looked up at Rhyldrin who had poked his head into the room. "No one is alone forever, even those who tend to stray from others eventually accept someone else into their lives. At least..." she went a little quiet at the end of her sentence, deciding that she would say something else. "That's what I think at least, I couldn't imagine being alone forever anyways. It's nice to have company and someone to chat with." she smiled nervously. Her ear's dropped as Neimi cut herself off. Judith looked at her for a moment, wondering if she should ask what she had intended to say and why it was so bad to say it but she kept that question to herself. "Don't worry about it," she said quietly afraid that Rhyldrin could possibly hear. "I won't ask questions or dig into his business, I understand that some things are better off left untouched." though she seemed alright with not knowing her curiosity would eventually get the best of her. Judith flinched as Rhyldrin entered the room after he finished preparing them something to eat. She hesitated to speak at first, afraid that he could bite her head off for saying anything really. Though she really wanted to tease him she held her such an idea back for now at least. "Thank you," she said to him and smiled. Judith took the bowl and tilted her head as she curiously looked at what was inside of it. It looked a bit different but it did smell rather good. Even if it didn't smell good she would eat it anyways, Judith was starving. When she had finished eating she placed the bowl on a small table by the side of the bed. "That wasn't too bad," she said and looked over at Neimi. "It was much better than what I can do, I'm a horrible cook." she let out a sigh, it was true. Judith had spent more time training with her bow and playing in the forest than learning how to cook and clean like most women did. |
"im sure he'll tell you some day, his childhood probably had very few memories that he enjoyed." She gave the girl a weak smile. Though it was true his parents were killed when he was young, he was forced into training under the military even if he never joined the ranks. Really his thirst of revenge had been used to their advantage in order to send some fool so they called it in to kill the light elf king, they never planned on him succeeding.
She laughed slightly at Judith saying it wasn't much better then she could do. "he's normally better then that at cooking.. but i guess being short notice and where he's hardly home it's what he had to work with." she stood from where she had been sitting and picked up Judith's bowl as well. "I'll take these up one less thing for him to complain about right" she smiled before she started to walk out into the other room but stopped short as her ears went back being annoyed suddenly. "can't you put clothes on when you have company over!" she walked past him, though he seemed confused about what her issue was "I have pants on don't i? It's my house i never invited you over in the first place" He sighed a little catching the glare he got from Neimi, though he never said anything further. He mainly left his shirt off because it was his own home and his shoulder was a bit sore even with it being properly treated now. Neimi walked back out of the kitchen and back into the room Judith was in with a smile. "well im going to go check on that worthless husband of mine, don't let him boss you around too much and if he tries anything tell me and I'll make him regret it." She laughed walking back past Rhyldrin and towards the door before leaving. Though Rhyldrin managed to get his comment he thought Judith could do that just fine on her own as far as making him think twice about anything. After Neimi left Rhyldrin looked to Judith before shaking his head a little. "Well.. now you know why I don't come here often or at least one of the reasons.. " He seemed more worn out now then ever. "by the way wheres the dragon?" he questioned her a little, though he didn't really want to act like he cared but if it was back at her camp they'd have to get her back there soon before it was discovered. "tsk either way you get some sleep, the washrooms a door over from where your at now if you want to take a bath .. before you think anything absurd in your little head im sleeping out here and your weapons next to the bed but if your going to try anything i'd advise you make the first shot fetal." After he was done with his little speech he waited to see what she'd say though probably not too much she looked tired as well. |
Judith had forgotten about the dragon up until he mentioned him, she felt guilty knowing that he could possibly be still hiding in her tent back at the camp. "When I was told to go see my brother I told him to hide and he ran under my bed. I went back to my tent after that but.." she fell silent for a moment, she remembered that she would have to deal with Uldric when she returned back to the camp. "I had to deal with something and after that I fled from my tent, my mind was all over the place and I didn't remember that the dragon was in my tent." she let out a heavy sigh, she felt bad for the poor dragon. Was he still hiding under her bed? She hoped that if anyone were to go into her tent that he would flee. She smiled at him as she stood from the bed. "I don't have much energy to do such a thing and you know that I couldn't bring myself to do that to you," she approached Rhyldrin and stood very close to him. "You're going to make me bathe alone?" she pouted making herself appear upset. "That's a pity," Judith purred, she brought herself to the door way and lingered by it. "Then again maybe I don't want company." she threw her shoulders back shrugging a bit then disappeared into the room. Judith closed the door behind her. |
He didn't say much on the dragon note, he'd have to get her back towards her camp tomorrow. She'd have to make some excuse as to where she was but that should be easy to say she got lost in the fighting. The dragon was pretty sharp he doubted the creature was in too much danger. Though he didn't want to return her in truth, not with the markings on her wrists.. something happened that she refused to tell him. Though it was honestly none of his business .. but as a friend or rather probably his only childhood friend he was worried about her well being. Even if he came across as not caring at all.
Though most of his thoughts ended up distracted as she walked up to him. What game was she trying to play taunting him.. ok so he admittingly edged this on the other day. But still nothing could happen between the two of them so why keep edging it further. Not that he minded the thoughts but still... "you should be careful of how far you tease" he warned her, though he had good self control so she was hardly over doing it.. but he had a feeling if she wanted to she could push every button he had with ease. Once she was in the other room he sighed heavily before walking over to a sofa that was along one of the walls and flopping down on it having one leg hanging off and the other laying on the armrest. He was never going to understand females that was certain, though he didn't have to deal with this much longer just tonight then long enough to get her near her light elf area.. Though if he had a say in it she wasn't going to see him again after he took her back. He needed to keep his distance this little game that she seemed to encourage was going to end him up at the end of a light elf blade before he knew it. 'idiot.. letting yourself get worked up over this.. tsk' he hissed at himself, though he'd love to just do what he wanted to Judith he knew very well he'd never be able to live it down if he did it just wasn't how he was. Killing was another story he could do that with ease.. |
Judith ran her fingers through her tangled hair for a moment then she brought it up making a messy bun on top of her head. "Why?" she asked aloud when Rhyldrin told her to watch how far she went with her teasing. "What are you going to do to me?" she asked her second question quietly wondering if she really wanted him to answer that anyways. If Rhyldrin tried anything she wouldn't know what to do really. It wouldn't surprise her though considering how she had been teasing him and pushing his buttons since earlier this morning. It wasn't as if she would mind though, she found it surprising when she realised she would be alright with him trying something. What are you thinking? she let out a heavy sigh and brushed some loose strands from her face. Judith untied her boots and threw them beside the tub. She hesitated at first the undress but then allowed her trousers and shirt to fall to the ground with ease. Before climbing into the now warmed water she made sure that Rhyldrin wasn't going to surprise her by coming into the room. Judith stepped into the tub then sat down in it, the warm water made her sore body feel better. Her wound stung she washed herself, she cringed at the pain then continued seeing as she would have to tolerate it. It would heal soon then she wouldn't have to worry about feeling any pain. When she was done she stepped out and dried herself with some towels, she wasn't sure if she was allowed to use them but Rhyldrin had not told her otherwise and he didn't tell her which ones to take. Once dried she put her clothes back on, it felt odd to be clean while wearing dirty clothes. She looked forward to wearing some clean clothes but not the other things that she was face once she returned to the camp. She opened the door slowly and peeked her head out, when her eyes landed on Rhyldrin she smiled. He was sleeping or it at least seemed as if he was.
