I wouldn't be able to survive that. I have to always beign doing something and I dislike being sick. And I don't have any muscles to speak of but I am strongish.

I'm 6"1, and weigh roughly 107 pounds. I don't know pounds, since we use 'stone' for our body weight here in Scotland. I can assume that it's fairly skinny though. I have no muscle at all.

You have me beat by alot. I'm only 5'4 and I'm 121 pounds. I've been told I'm lucky to have reached that height though as it was originally assumed because of my early crippiling health problems that were ignore I would never even reach 5 feet. My weight is pretty constant

my condition, along with family genes, has lead to me being tall and skinny. It's literally impossible for me to put on weight. I managed to love 10 pounds by sitting on my butt eating fast food for 5 weeks...

@Ari, I live withit and I know it could be worse so I'm content.

I don't know my birth family's genes, and I personally hope I never do. But my adopted family are all tall and well-rounded, leaving me the odd one out.

as far as I can tell I've managed to get all the genetic defects my family posses, along with some extras. It's a little lame.

The wonders of genetics...NOT! Though that is getting more and more common as lines cross introducing diseases that never leave the blood line.

for my main disease there is a 1 in 5 million chance of someone being a carrier, and both my parents turned out to be so. I consider that kind of unlucky.

I don't have any rare diseases like that thankfully. But I have epilepse induced by sound wich is rather unusual.

I'm still being tested for which sounds exactly. But while I'm working behind the scenes I have to wear special sound cancelling ear muffs because it seems that loud, repetive sounds seem to do me in.

And Galla, I hope whatever messed with my (bio)parents heads doesn't get passed on to me.

I doubt that homicidal tendencies can be passed on through genetics. I'd say it has more to do with the environment you were raised in. I'm no expert though..

I myself wear a hearing aid thanks to a 50% loss in my right ear, and a 10% loss in the left.

Homicidal tendicies can run in the family if it is a genetic disease that causes it. Because in some families it does happen normally the frontal cortex is the damaged area.

I'm assuming they would be aware of it though, if it was something genetic?

Probably, Ducky, but that area of genetics hasn't been researches thoughly. They also don't want to call out families with that problem as there might be a child in that family uneffected and they would be outcasted for supposedly having a disease that they actually don't have.

I'm very uneducated in the field of genetics, as is probably apparent.

I am too but I do like reading medical journals and stuff so I have an inkling of what I'm talking about. I also have a friend(Who isn't actually my friend but is my gf's friend) who is a brain surgeon, so he keeps me updated.

@Galla, I often lose half the vision in my left eye and I have no depth perception.

I think my eyes may actually be my strongest sense. It was the one that was boosted due to lacking in the haring department. Most of my family ends up with glasses at a young age, and I can see better in all situations than msot people i know.

Touch is my strongest sense. Touch and smell actually. Both of which result in many unfortunate accidents as my brain doesn't like it as I process five different strains of thought.

my nose is often impaired by my condition, as it also effects the sinuses. It isn't technically a lung disease, that's just the main area of effect. Anywhere in the body that contains cillia is broken. That includes reproductive stuff...

My condition doesn't effect anything but internal organs, bone structure, and height thankfully. I don't think I'd be able to deal with all my cillia being broken though.

I happen to have a one off variation of my condition they've never seen before. most people with it only have impaired movement of the cillia, i have none at all.

i wouldn't consider hearing everything to be a strength. I hate background noises and anything that shouldn't be there.

I have okay hearing. It works most of the time but I still wear sound cancellign earmuffs alot because I don't want to have a seizure.

how do those earmuffs work? Do they dampen all sound, or cut down on a certain kind or frequency?

They muffle the world. It is almost like constantly being under water, I can still hear them unless they are really soft but it is barely auble and if I'm not paying attention I don't hear what is being said.

I get that if i block up my left ear. So i certainly know what it's like. An infection in my left ear and I have trouble hearing much of anything.

I hate infections, they are a nasty piece of work. And people look at me oddly because the earmuffs are bulky and I wear them constantly even in summer.

It's like me wearing my gloves all the time, due to having terrible blood circulation in my hands. I went to America to stay with a friend over the summer and wore them every day for 5 weeks. It was 100 degrees on average.

I wear my coat all the time too. And it is no light coat, it is a floor length fur lined coat. I'm almost never warm and if I wear it no one questions why my hands are cold, they assume I just can't create enough body heat.

Being incredibly skinny like i am sucks when combined with terrible blood circulation. even the slightest drop in temperature can have a massive affect on me.

You sound like the one person we found on the search last night. He was wearing gloves and had horrible circulation too. The weather had been warm for a couple of days then took a very sharp dip, the man had gone wandering while it was warm but when the temp dropped he got confused and lost.

I tend not to be affected in any mental way, i can just suffer some pretty adverse physical affects.

I would think being conected to the weather mentally or physically woudl be hard.

I can shiver hard enough to pull muscles in my back. It does get a little annoying xD

That would be painfull to me as I have constant backpains. How do you deal with it?

It's part of life, along with every issue I have. I consider it to be normal and i suppose I've adopted many ways to deal with them all.
