Ginger 09-30-2011 10:55 PM

I have never heard of this treaty -is confused-

DarkForbidden-Love 09-30-2011 10:55 PM

Care to educate us country bumkins on what it is? Cause i have absolutly no idea.

Horror Babe 09-30-2011 10:56 PM

Hmm.
I wonder what the October items will be

Fey 09-30-2011 10:57 PM

The Geneva Convention Treaty discusses the use of corporal punishment/torture involving prisoners. So, pretty much, no cruel and unusual methods, they're big no-nos. And now...now I wonder what in the world they teach in history and government classes any more.

DarkForbidden-Love 09-30-2011 11:01 PM

Erm... In history we never got past World War I. I do know a lot about the early 1900s though cause of Accademic Games.

Fey 09-30-2011 11:03 PM

that's sad, but I wish I could be surprised by this failure of the educational system

DarkForbidden-Love 09-30-2011 11:05 PM

I know it is sad and my current teacher is trying to remidy my lack of historical knowledge but the three of us are all very hard ot teach, we just started World War II yesterday.

Fey 09-30-2011 11:07 PM

you'll get to the GCT soon then, it came about after that

DarkForbidden-Love 09-30-2011 11:10 PM

Okay, thanks for filling in that gap in my knowledge.

Fey 09-30-2011 11:15 PM

LOL I'm not a huge fan of history, but that's something I tend to reference a lot

DarkForbidden-Love 09-30-2011 11:16 PM

I'm not a fan of histoy either, give me math or give me writing. I don't reference a lot of things from history but I do like the Laws of Relativity from Science

Fey 09-30-2011 11:18 PM

I do enjoy relativity...and many other science geeky things, which reminds me I need to go see if they've verified that new particle in CERN....

DarkForbidden-Love 09-30-2011 11:18 PM

I remember that they think they may have found a new element for the table of elements. IS that what your talking about?

Fey 09-30-2011 11:20 PM

they think they found a neutrino that went faster than the speed of light, but they can't reproduce it and have sent the process to other sites to see if they can. I'm waiting to see if anyone has verified results
