oh, there's always something else about my avi that was long before i found the black eyes - i'm always barefoot. =)

Tam I am 01-25-2016 03:07 PM

I used to do the barefoot, and still do when I can't find foot things I like. I used to do the barefoot in RL, too.

Then I ran into a foot pervert.

trystan830 01-25-2016 03:13 PM

i'm always barefoot online.

real life, not so much.... it's cold in the winter!

Foot pervert? 0.0

I was barefoot after assembling my first outfit on UF4 because there were no sneakers LOL and no socks that I liked haha

then we got the Athletic Socks and the Sneakers and I wore those in the white colors for forever lmao

LMBO. I've barefooted in the snow! Just for a quick jaunt to grab something from somebody, or to make people wince, but I've done it.

Coda 01-26-2016 06:24 PM

I used to wear sandals and shorts in the snow in high school, even when doing marching band practice at 7AM in the winter. (I didn't go barefoot, but that's more a question of "I don't want to step on an object concealed beneath the snow" than anything.)

There was a girl in one of my college classes who refused to ever wear shoes. My biggest fear would be stepping in like poop or vomit or something and not knowing.

Den 01-26-2016 11:04 PM

I used to barefoot as a kid... then I stepped on a bumblebee one summer, and then another one a few years later, part of a burning sparkler landed on my foot... and then I went shoes unless absolutely necessary. and now I can't hack going totally barefoot, because I hate feeling sand or dirt on my feet. 's why I like those weird-looking vibram fivefingers shoes.

I love my pair. I just wish I had a pair better suited to winter weather. the pair I have's more for spring through fall.

trystan830 01-26-2016 11:43 PM

hubby didn't wear his over the weekend when he shoveled snow, but other than that, he wears them all the time.

Coda 01-27-2016 11:41 AM

If you like them, more power to you -- wear them for comfort! -- but it should be noted that the supposed health-benefit claims that the manufacturer makes have been shown to not hold water, and that a shoe with a proper arch and ankle support and heel padding is better for your feet, ankles, knees, and back.

Yeah, shoes with all those support things hurt like *bad word deleted*. They make my feet go to sleep right up to my butt. lol I am health benefited by five fingers shoes, and by hideous old uggs. Like Den, I wish I could find waterproof and lightly insulated five fingers, because they are more comfortable than the uggs are for me. I also wish that I could find the dress shoe styles. But there are even fewer of those shoes that reach Canada than ever reach the States. Greedy Italian peeps keep them all for themselves. :p-cry:

Coda 01-27-2016 10:26 PM

If they hurt, then those aren't PROPER supports.

Any shoes with them, no matter the quality, get me. Guess my feet and back are improper? (<--bad joke)

Coda 01-28-2016 12:10 AM

Then you have fairly flat arches. It happens.
