It's entirely possible, Tai-chan saw a water dragon once, didn't you. And Luke's got one that follows him around and gets me absolutely soaked whenever i call her a nymph, but La's just weird like that.

Personally, I can't see her so much as see some sort of aura that is shaped and has a few details, but Luke can see her clearly.

You're lucky if you do, not many people see them nowadays. People have just . . . sort of forgotten how.

Taiania 10-05-2011 05:30 AM

Yea, when it was a little baby. It's getting to be a big boy now I'm guessing :)

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 09:33 PM

I've never seen a dragon. Would like too, but haven't... DX

Wicked 10-06-2011 09:36 PM

I tried to point it out to my husband when I saw it but he didn't see anything? :/

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 09:38 PM

Then again, I guess it depends on the kind of dragon. Not sure I'd wanna meet a western dragon. See one, sure... Talk with one, ehh. Not so much.

Wicked 10-06-2011 09:44 PM

^^ reminds me of the bumper sticker: Dragons love you... dipped in chocolate.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 09:51 PM

That's an awesome bumper sticker. I would love a button that said that.

Wicked 10-06-2011 09:54 PM

My mom used to have one that said Witches are the Craftiest People.
Fairly innocuous one would think but she got so much shit for it!

At one point some wretched old thing made a point of waiting by her car to say "you're going to HELL for that" and mom didn't bat an eyelash, she smiled and said save me a seat!

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 09:57 PM

Somewhat reminds me of an inane conversation a few people I know on Facebook star--
Cr4p. I revealed my religion in that conversation.

Wicked 10-06-2011 10:01 PM

At least online there's usually an ignore button.
Or what a wonderful world it would be if we had one OFFLINE.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 10:03 PM

true. But most of the people I used to live with and hang with were Catholic/Mormon.

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 10:06 PM

I really dislike it when people are put down for their beliefs :/

I think I saw a bumper sticker that said "Treat dragons respectfully, because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup."

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 10:17 PM

True. Which is why I've hated living in the bible belt.

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 10:19 PM

I didn't even know this area was called that >.>;

Christians can be the worst kind of people sometimes.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 10:23 PM

I think it's because of their god. In the old testament he was an angry wrathful god, then the new testament he's this really nice forgiving guy, and the Torrah I don't even know because they don't translate the book. So were talking a Bipolar if not Tripolar god.

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 10:29 PM

Well, Tripolar might work because God is supposed to be three parts in one.

-leads the conversation elsewhere as I'm not quite comfortable speaking about it here- XD

Wicked 10-06-2011 10:33 PM

Yeah.. I was feeling kind of like I tapped a nerve. ><
So! Anyone doing anything "crafty" lately?

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 10:37 PM

No TT__TT I has poor, and there's this really awesome store right in town. First thing I'm going to do when I get money is go and buy this really cool pendulum they have there.

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 10:37 PM

Crafty...I wish I was. I haven't even been cooking fancy lately :/

Wicked 10-06-2011 10:39 PM

Me either. I've feeling pretty uninspired of late.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 10:41 PM

Plus I still only learning... I probably wouldn't know real Crafty if it bit me.

Wicked 10-06-2011 10:45 PM

It really doesn't take much. Magick is all about intent so it could be as simple as trying knots in a rope if you're focused on what you're after. At least that's my take. I've never been one for ornate ritual.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 10:47 PM

Ohhh... Right. I forgot about that.

Wicked 10-06-2011 10:58 PM

It's different for everyone though.
Some folks are big into bowing down to their gods.

For me it's more like supplication. Asking and knowing you may not get it.
There's really no "worship" in Asatru. It's more about being a good person, living you life right and occasionally asking for guidance and leaving an offering as thanks for what they've given you.

Aaaaanyway.. I'm rambling.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 11:00 PM

Everyone does it sometimes.

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 11:07 PM

It's an interesting rambling though.

-knows almost nothing about this-

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 11:08 PM

Then let the rambling continue!

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 11:15 PM

If Wicked wants to, of course?

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 11:16 PM

I could try and continue the rant, but I was given an abridged version, because my question wasn't really on this topic...

Wicked 10-06-2011 11:23 PM

Heh. Put on the spot and I can't come up with anything.'
I guess I could babble about the kinds of offerings we've given?

Everything from walnuts, trail mix, fresh fruits
to the slightly irreverent cheeseburger or bits of cookies.
Then there's liquid stuffs. Milk, honey, mead, red wine and even a good stout ale. Jason splits a 'beer' with Thor every Thursday evening. ><

Edit: Topic? There's no set "topic" XD

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 11:25 PM

Almost makes me wish I was old enough to drink just to do that... And since my Mjolnir is still missing, I fell kinda cut off from Thor.

Wicked 10-06-2011 11:37 PM

Oops! I hope your hammer's not lost lost and will turn up somewhere!

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 11:40 PM

I hope so too. But it's not in any of my stuff here, and no one has seen it back home...

Serra Britt 10-06-2011 11:44 PM

Erf...I hope you can find it Luna. Losing stuff while moving around is hard to deal with.

Lunaryon 10-06-2011 11:48 PM

thanks. I'm trying to prepare for a worst case senario just in case it is lost lost.

Taiania 10-07-2011 04:24 AM

Thread sploded, Yay ^_^

To get lost things back I find leaving a food offering outside and asking simply for it to find it's way home (the item, not the food lol). It usually works.

I've not been feeling crafty lately either. Not properly. Though I find this tie of year better for introspection anyway. :)

Gallowsraven 10-08-2011 06:07 PM

OOOO! Hang on! I have a charm somewhere that is meant to help with this and you can help me verify if it has any affect whatsoever!

. . . *flips through book frantically*

Well i did have one . . . where the heck is it gone??? The only other thing i know is a little angel chant i learnt in a fiction book, of all places. But it is a real invocation and it does work sometimes.

"Tony, Tony, come around,
Something's lost that can't be found."

It calls on Saint Anthony to help find the missing item.

Taiania 10-09-2011 05:28 AM

That's really cute ^_^

I got some new runes yesterday. They seem pretty effective and the store I got the from is nice. They still smell of incense :D

Gallowsraven 10-09-2011 08:52 AM

Awesome! I could never get a handle on the runes, it never quite clicked with me. Crystals and the tarot i can do, but not the runes. Not well anyway.

That reminds me, i havent used my crystals in a while for divination, the bag's been hanging off the end of my bed since april . . . bad me? ^.^

I miss doing divination so regularly and helping people with it, i loved doing it and now . . . i kinda feel a little useless now.

Taiania 10-09-2011 09:15 AM

You can still do it for us if you'd like :)

I'm just starting with runes. I'm better with tarot too but these runes called to me so I thought, why not.
