the snow in Erie was actually over a couple of days, Zen.

we'll have some single digits here over the weekend.... that's gonna be COLD with the wind chill!!

Mekatra 12-27-2017 07:38 PM

Oh man I could do without the wind.

ZenKitty 12-27-2017 07:44 PM

Whoops. I must have heard that wrong. Still way too much to be able to plow completely. And where do you put all of the piles of snow?

We're supposed to have -12 or greater wind chill factors here. Brr....

I'm staying home nursing a bug I came down with last night and cold temps outside with fevers aren't the best combination so I'm staying home under my fleece blankets. XD

A cactus feeling cold, it must be 70F or something

Mekatra 12-28-2017 12:24 AM

One of my best friends is in Florida visiting family for the holidays and it's 80 degrees there...

It's 8 degrees here. That is so weird to think they're only like 800 miles away.

ZenKitty 12-28-2017 11:12 AM

Michigan has several distinct weather patterns. One day I had someone visit me from 80 miles north and she left a snow storm, went through rain and then got here and it was nearly 70 degrees. Crazy.

Thanks for the good wishes. It's moved to my sinuses now. I'll be using a lot of steam and neti pots today to try to flush it out. In the meantime I feel like my brain is so filled with stuff, it's not functioning right. :P

mdom 12-28-2017 12:17 PM

good luck with the steaming!

ZenKitty 12-28-2017 02:37 PM

Thanks! It actually worked for a few hours. Glad I've got a lot of those salt solution packets. :P

Mekatra 12-28-2017 04:14 PM

Hopefully that works for you!

mdom 12-29-2017 12:41 PM

Salt solution? Hmm, tell me more...

ZenKitty 12-29-2017 02:42 PM

I use a Nasal Rinse Bottle and then buy the premixed packages of salt and baking soda to use with it. I've tried mixing my own, but I don't seem to get the combination right and it winds up burning.

This really clears out my sinuses. I'm using it every 4 hours currently because I want to have this out of my system by Sunday.

mdom 12-29-2017 03:15 PM

oooh, that's interesting... I should find a similar around here!

Claire Bear 12-29-2017 04:38 PM

we've got some good snow coming down here in central illinois. nothing like what PA is getting, but it's coming down steady. -_- i didn't wanna leave the house but i had to go get my prescription for my anti-depressants. drove about fifteen- twenty miles per hour the whole drive. I was making everyone behind me real mad, but I ain't gonna crash my car in no snow ever again. made that mistake at age seventeen and it's no fun pushing your car out of a snowbank on the side of the road i can tell you that.

mdom 12-29-2017 04:48 PM

Better safe than sorry, Claire, that's true!
