I love dry humor! My dad was very good with it and to a certain extent my sister and I take after him. My brother isn't much for joking.

He takes more after my mother. She tried, God bless her, but she didn't have a funny bone in her body and she sucked at telling jokes.

*snickers* One time back when I had four dogs I walked them to a groomer on the next block. When I came back without them my brother was in his yard (he lives across the street) and he said he thought I had had the dogs with me. With a straight face I said "Oh yeah. I tied them to the old railroad tracks, somebody will find them sooner or later." The look of shock on his face was priceless!

My family's sense of humour tends to be very dry and often perverse and sexual.

Nothing quite like that, I'm afraid. But at one point, I did have my friend convinced that I knew how to brew potions and that I was the one that killed the tree in our yard.
It was actually knocked over by a hurricane. And eaten by caterpillars. I still don't know how she believed me. |
