We've had waaaayyy too much rain here. I think most places have gotten 10-25+ inches above the yearly average @__@
Lots of flooding everywhere

I think it's mostly over now. Amazingly the power is still on. Usually it goes out when there's a breeze, fff.

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 12:06 AM

wow, that's a lot.

p.s.: I love your avi~~ <3 sooo mono-chromey~

Meizicht 11-01-2013 12:09 AM

Thanks lol
@__@ there must've been a gap in the winds so that it missed us because everywhere else is either without power, trees fell on houses, houses have collapsed or transformers are exploding. Pfff.

Poggio 11-01-2013 12:11 AM

Wow... and your neighbor was worried about trash. >.>

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 12:11 AM

oh, I kinda didn't notice the orange.

I guess the tornado just went, *points at your area* "Not tonight. I'm going trick or treating somewhere." *zooms into the rainbows*

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 12:13 AM

@Pogs:: LOL, I know right? If I were in that situation, I don't care how dirty the house it, I'm staying inside.
f*ck all, I'm clinging to everything I can grab. Not throwing them away.

Espy 11-01-2013 12:14 AM

UGGGGHHHHH.

So I'm trying to explain gender fluidity and gender neutral pronouns to my strictly cisgender and heteronormative friend and /augh/ he's a great guy and all but this is one thing that he just....

...

-groans-

Meizicht 11-01-2013 12:16 AM

xD Well the tornadoes weren't really SOLID tornadoes; they just spun up because of the wind gusts. It's basically a straight line land hurricane going on, so there's straight winds blowing hard enough to do all that damage. Yet there was a gap enough to spare this part of town xD
We're dealing with flooding now cause the rain's not stopping for a while.

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 12:28 AM

D: hope nothing goes really wrong.

also, MEIZ. lolol. I wished for it to rain here...and it DID.
I has magic powers. xD

Espy 11-01-2013 12:32 AM

Uhhhh. Things have already gone wrong. But at this point, it should be pretty clear to him whether he wants to always have to excuse himself first before going down the path of potentially offending all genderqueer people, or change his views on it.

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 12:38 AM

>_< @ espy
sorry to hear that... ;3;

Espy 11-01-2013 12:55 AM

-shrugs- And I'm not going to shove my beliefs down his throat, or do anything else to forcibly make him understand. I mean, he should believe whatever he wants to, and as long as it doesn't get too much in the way of anyone's friendship, it's fine.

Meizicht 11-01-2013 04:33 AM

Tbh, I have a less friendly way of thinking when it comes to people who don't "understand" the choices of another and find it their business to state as such.
Offending someone for their orientation, gender identity, expression choice, whatever, is the same as offending someone for their skin color. Homophobia and the like are the same as racism.
Idgaf if their religion told them it's wrong. Or they just don't "get it". Feigning ignorance only does so much, it does not excuse someone from hurting someone else. I don't see anybody getting away with going "oh well I didn't know"/"my religion says so" after spitting racial slurs at someone so I don't think it's fair to excuse anyone when it comes to these things either. If someone doesn't "understand", it's because they are closed to it and they don't want to understand. It's as simple as saying a word. You don't have to learn a whole new culture to be able to comply when someone says "call me he/she/they/them/etc", just say the goddamn words. If you choose not to, and call them shit like "it" or pronouns they hate, then you are deliberately being prejudice, no excuse for it. It should be held in the same manner as racism. Shamed and unaccepted by general public. But people for some reason don't "understand". People have lost the goddamn meaning of "understand" and switched it with "selective ignorance".

And the people who butt into your business to ask what physical gender you are don't rub me the right way either. Like why do they have to know, do they plan to have sex with that person? Why would they need to know what equipment they have? So violating, it's gross. +shudder+
( and I mean the people who will relentlessly ask like it's their right to know. )
Or the people who wont accept the gender you are/refuse to use the right pronouns after seeing your face, like I've run into, because they actually get PISSED when they find out I'm not a girl because they had some sick idea that they could screw me. And since I'm not what they thought I was, they get mad at me and continue to play denial and use "she/her" when referring to me. Ohhhh yes. I've actually run into these kinds of assholes. Not even kidding. .___.

THIS SOCIETY KDHFLADJF +flips a train+

UGH.
/rant

EDIT: Oh I forgot - and the idiots who tell transgendered people to "try sex" so they can be "normal". Makes me wanna flip a country.

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 06:02 AM

I laugh at people who say "well, my religions says so..." or "The bible says it's not acceptable,"

They allowed themselves to be ruled by a fairy tale book. It sickens me.

Gallagher 11-01-2013 06:15 AM

I love my Bible very much, but yeah, those excuses are total bunk.

Lauv Keiko 11-01-2013 06:25 AM

Why can some Christians accept and respect... while most just go, "YOU ALL WILL BURN IN HEEEYUUULLLLL."

*shrugs*
