"I never lie." Mail smirked.
"Liar," Near accused, smirking a little bit.
"Right...because I'm a liar." Mail smirked back. "But you like me."
"I am a liar too," Near informed. "There is nothing wrong with being a liar if the outcome is favorable."
"So we'll lie to each other?" Mail asked with amusement.
"If the outcome is favorable," Near reminded.
"So how do I lie my way into your heart?" Mail asked.
The younger boy's smirk fell and he stared at Mail blankly. "I'm not sure what Mail would want to do with it... its too poor to sell on the black market."
"I didn't mean that literally Near." Mail chuckled. "I wanna know you."
"Mail already knows me," Near reminded.
"I know what some asshole wrote about you." Mail offered.
"All apparently accurate information," Near admitted. "As I have yet to surprise Mail. Unless Mail simply hasn't stated so... as for coming into my heart, Mail will have to cease being so fake to do so. I do not enjoy being flirted with or teased... I prefer people who are real."
"That's fair." Mail shrugged. "But I'm not flying you all the way to England just to get laid."
"Satisfying Mail's own curiosity," Near hummed. "Or simply trying to be kind. I am not sure which."
"I can still be puzzling when I want to be." Mail replied. "Maybe I'm just kind and curious?"
"Entirely possible," Near informed, before looking up as the waitress came back with his water. He downed the glass quickly as she took Mail's order.
