I think the alcohol did something to Feenai. But I don't think of her as lightweight.

Funkduder 07-10-2011 03:36 AM

Mega post for the F-ing win. Make what you'd like of it. I'm probably going to be on for smaller periods of time tomorrow.

Espy 07-10-2011 03:49 AM

Oh Suuuuz. What are the rules, regulations, and policies regarding possession by demons/angels/higher spiritual beings?

Suzerain of Sheol 07-10-2011 04:06 PM

They can do it, the ease of which depends on the host's spiritual potency (i.e. good luck possessing Shealtiel.) They can be exorcised by Theurges or Servants of Sheol (obviously, one will have an easier time with demons instead of undead and vice versa). Psychic powers won't really work for exorcising, though other things like tapping into the host's actual mind beneath the possession ought to be possible.

Oh, and the difficulty of an exorcism is obviously based on how powerful the possessing spirit is.

Serra Britt 07-10-2011 06:25 PM

Aww, how much longer will Fee survive with Rue hating her and Lev unknowingly wanting to eat her XP

Salone 07-10-2011 07:02 PM

Okay, was just curious. Might use that to explain Lev's...urges. And of course, various plot devices, character traits, and other things.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-10-2011 07:07 PM

Oh, you mentioned an Ordinance Transmitter above. Forgot to address that.

Those are rare on the level of "likely to only show up once in this RP". Corinth is too small of a city to have one. I wouldn't be surprised if there was one on hand somewhere in the Seven Churches, though it would certainly be highly prized.

I kind of shudder to imagine what use Lev would have for a nuclear launch code. :p

Salone 07-10-2011 08:18 PM

Eh, it wouldn't do much for him at the moment. Would vaporize anything edible and poison what wasn't destroyed in the initial blast. He has an inkling though, of something he might want. Just depends on if a Transmitter is powerful enough to open the door (or gates) to it.

Funkduder 07-10-2011 08:30 PM

and now I explain my post from before, since I have time.

You would think that it is weird that Michael would be picked up for psychic potential in an adoption center and then have less than a scratch of psychic on him, other than the block, and now the shield.
His parents had to implant this in him because of his psychic potential and taught him nothing else to prevent escape from the terrible process to make him part of what he is, a collection of all the memories, but not experience, gained by the children of Jez'ebel.
This will probably explain most of the post, and I understand that this is borderline godmode with what this can be used for, which is why I made it memories, not experience, although that theory can probably be made into reality through more painful testing by Jez'ebel herself, if I may.
However, Michael went through a painful process just to get to the memory-stage of the process and after he was presented to Jez'ebel, he fled, promising to end the tyranny he was put through. Ergo, he will not be putting any of the memories to use, in attempt to live his own life and by free from worldly affairs.

And that's pretty much it. Sorry for not making it clear, earlier. i just couldn't really think out the details through and through.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-10-2011 08:47 PM

Oh, well, that's interesting. I didn't quite get that from your posts so far, though there was a hint of something like that going on.

I will just mention that I'm not sure that the collected experience of Jez'ebel's children would be worth all that much even if Michael had it. For one thing, they were all killed during the Calamity, and as such had little to no experience with psychosis. Not to mention, Jez'ebel only rose to power during the End Times; before that she was living in near poverty. And do keep in that, most of them were just that: children. She's never really gotten over their deaths.

Funkduder 07-10-2011 08:53 PM

hmmm well that sours the idea. I originally wanted to make it so he had all of the experience of the city of babylon, but I thought that would godmoding. now that I realize that they were just children (I assume that you mean the prepubescent kind) it makes me the concept mismatch the visions.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-10-2011 09:13 PM

Yeah, I see what you mean. You should've ran that by me earlier on. :p

I mean, she's not that old now, probably mid 60s. I doubt she had many, if any, adult children pre-apocalypse.

Though, it's not out of the question that she's given birth to or adopted more since, it's just kind of out of character for her, given how devastated she was by their deaths.

Espy 07-10-2011 09:18 PM

THANK GOD YOU POSTED. I think this RP is the only thing preventing me from dying from boredom.

Salone 07-11-2011 12:31 AM

Alrighty Suz, I've decided. If it's okay with you, I would like for Lev to be harboring a demon. Not being a Demonologist/Spiritologist/Possessionologist, I figure we can iron out the various nuances and plot devices its capable of.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-11-2011 12:35 AM

Sure, no problem. I'm terribly versed in demon-lore (especially compared to angelology) but I'm sure we can make it work. Could always go pick up a copy of the Key of Solomon if I had to. :p
