Why would that be bad??? @_@ is confused... my avi is funny looking!

Lucid: 04-21-2011 08:20 PM

because. you'll see when we watch it. 8D
so, do you know anything about other off-campus places besides where NOT to live? or are we just kinda picking blind here?

Airina 04-21-2011 08:52 PM

I know lots of bad places..... but not really any good places... we'll just have to look around... I hope that there is some places.... *crosses fingers* but i would say hold off on giving up your contract until you absolutely have to if we don't find a place...

Lucid: 04-21-2011 09:16 PM

right, I wasn't going to go get it canceled immediately. is there a fee for you to get back on the waiting list just in case you can get in? I can't see why there'd be a fee for a waiting list but you never know... @.@
I've heard King Henry is a good place, but they might be super-waiting-listy like the Colony. I hear there was a line of tents camping out for contracts...

Airina 04-21-2011 09:48 PM

That's crazy. there isn't a fee but she said that it was probably useless.... they don't normally have that many people drop out of their contracts...

Lucid: 04-21-2011 10:00 PM

yeah, I wouldn't expect it...
well, I've just been looking at random places, and obviously the website for each housing place is going to make it seem like the BEST PLACE EVER, but Roman Gardens looks like it's close to 9th (and thus my work,) and it looks like a hotel. and I can't find the price on the website. hm.
Centennial is even a couple blocks closer to my work, and doesn't look bad and is 6 girls at $259 a month for Fall/Winter.

Airina 04-21-2011 10:03 PM

That's good that's where my parents met. I know the place. My current roommates might be living there.... that would be interesting...
but yea we can look into that is that with or without utilities?

Lucid: 04-21-2011 10:12 PM

uh...I think so?
http://www.centennialapartments.com/...rty%5Bid%5D/4/

we could easily avoid your current roommates, I'm sure.
I'm going to keep looking around though, just to see all the places.

Lucid: 04-21-2011 10:42 PM

OOH OOH OOH OOH. AIRIAIRIAIRIAIRI! Do you know anything about Arcadia? it's right around the sameish area as Centennial, it's $250/month, free utilities, but most importantly....IT'S GOT SWAMP COOLERS. <3<3<3<3<3<3

Lucid hates air conditioning. SO much. because it is dry. and I hate dry. Swamp coolers are like humidifiers, which I wanted to buy, but they are COLD! which is awesome for the fall which really feels like summer. and we could get a cheap humidifier from Wally World to keep the air warm and wet in the winter. <3

I WANT TO LIVE HERE PLEASE? http://www.arcadiaapts.com/Apartment...rty%5Bid%5D/5/

**keeps looking more just in case, since just in case found me this one.**

hey, what's the difference between Centennial and Centennial II? apparently Centennial II also has swamp coolers, while Centennial has a/c. and II is $240 as opposed to $259.

Airina 04-21-2011 10:48 PM

Honey i has a very good humidifier that we can use!
arcadia has really crappy parking...

Airina 04-21-2011 10:50 PM

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Centennial has self cleaning ovens!!!!! *DROOOOOOOOOOLS*

Lucid: 04-21-2011 11:09 PM

okay. I didn't realize you had a humidifier. OuO <3
...even Heritage has self-cleaning ovens. what kind of ghetto oven do YOU have?

I don't know anything about Park Place, but it is the same walking distance from work as the others, but closer to the Brimhall where I will be basically living for the rest of my schooly life. although I'd have to take the gi-fricking-normous hills to get to it.

and that's basically it for the ones that have readily available information on the internet, and are close enough to work for me to walk.

Airina 04-21-2011 11:18 PM

Let's go look at them on saturday?
*DROOLS* parkplace has gas stoves!!!! we can make sm'ores!!!!!!!!!!

Lucid: 04-21-2011 11:25 PM

I loves me some s'mores! *O* and I also love gas stoves in general. so much easier to clean. my roommates spilled things in the electric stove all the time and it smelled like death and burning. >.<

saturday sounds good (though I guess it means I won't be going up to my grandparents' for Easter...I might not've been able to for lack of car though, so don't feel bad.) and then we can figure out which ones actually have contracts and not waiting lists. that's my only fear. D:

Airina 04-21-2011 11:28 PM

Yea... plus if we don't do it on saturday we would squeeze it in early early monday morning.... i just looked at my flight itinerary and my dad booked the wrong flight for me.... so now i have to figure out how to get dave home from the airport.... he doesn't get in till 5:30 and i leave at 1:20.... @_@ this is soooo confusing!!!

Lucid: 04-21-2011 11:30 PM

early-early sounds bad. I like saturday.

uh oh. D: is there anyone else who can bring him home?
