Howdy willis

Roo, this whole B.C.E and C.E. thing strikes me as being very pointless.

I still find the urge to say it's 2013 A.D. I get that that isn't politically correct, but we're still measuring time the same way and by the same event, what was the point of changing Anno Domini to "Common Era"?

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 10:26 PM

Yes, if there's no change in the way it's being measured, it hardly makes a difference what you call it. Just like having the nativity scene out and calling it a winter decoration. Uh, OK.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 10:29 PM

I mean, we're still using the Gregorian Calendar, and FYI that calendar isn't universal so trying to make it PC is kind of pointless and stupid, in Aisa it's sometimes referred to as the "Western Calendar".

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 10:43 PM

'Deed.. People just need to give it up. It only means what you make of it.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 10:48 PM

Exactly, and if you're going to use the Gregorian Calendar why bother changing the annotations? I would argue that they aren't significant enough to warrant the cost of getting the terms legally altered.

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 10:53 PM

And then what about the names of the days of the week? Oooohhhh, they reference other religions!

Red Lion 03-15-2013 10:55 PM

Soon we'll be calling them "First Day, Second Day, Third Day....."

I mean c'mon, Saturday is supposed to be "Sabbath Day"

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 10:59 PM

"Day One of month two" has such a nice ring to it, though.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:00 PM

But at the same time,

it costs to make that shit official and we do not need to spend our tax money on being PC.

A nice fantasy/olden time's ring to it. I like that. -is good at randomly butting into convos-

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:09 PM

Certainly not.

Edit; Well, hello there. And yes, exactly.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:12 PM

Howdy Espy!

Rooo, but anyways, if you're going to use the Gregorian Calender in the first place, there's no point to changing it for the sake of political correctness.

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:25 PM

Yup yup.

*chews on the Willis*

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:26 PM

WHY YOU CHEW?!!

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:32 PM

Because I'm hungry. o uo

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:34 PM

I would give you a chocolate muffin.

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:37 PM

I WANT A CHOCOLATE MUFFIN.

I think my grandma bought some chocolate cereal... > .> There was chocolate strawberry special K and I kind of finished that off rather quickly. It was the only cereal that wasn't shredded wheat, dammit. I like cereal.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:39 PM

I do not like cereal so there must be other options for me at all times.

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:43 PM

pfft pfft pfft
I love cereals. Especially chocolatey ones.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:43 PM

Roo, we gotta do more with Randy and Susan, I'm starting to like Randy and Greta more as a couple.

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:49 PM

Yes, and we just can't have them being better together than Randy and his own Schickelpotamus. We've gotten too far in to change that aspect of them now or to write out her reincarnation, so we must work on showing why they are Schickelpotamuses.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:50 PM

Yes we must!

....But I don't think Susan will be that interesting until she gets older.

uncledaddy 03-15-2013 11:55 PM

Probably not, but there will still be glimpses of her true self, whatever fun parts of her personality drew him to her in the first place.

She should totally see him mud wrestling with Greta... We did say we were bringing Anthony, after all.

Red Lion 03-15-2013 11:56 PM

Yes! Susan can be there watching Randy get all filthy.

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:02 AM

And Anthony can see this, too! Won't he be pleased to know that this is joining his family?

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:03 AM

Yes he will! He can watch this barbaric dispray!

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:04 AM

Just look at him, rolling around in filth with another woman! The scoundrel!

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:05 AM

I see Susan finding it cute.

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:07 AM

How could you not? ...Unless you're an Anthony, that is.

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:09 AM

Well he can just sit aside and eat his funnel cake.

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:18 AM

If anything can get his mind off of being a grouchy bear, it's fried junk food.

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:22 AM

.....he's such a fattie.

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:33 AM

Yes, as bears tend to be. e ue

But he's on a diet!

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:35 AM

IT'S ONLY FOR THE SPRING EVENT! LET HIM HAVE HIS PIE!

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:39 AM

Well, I'm not about to go take pie away from a bear...

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:42 AM

No...you might lose a hand.

littl3chocobo 03-16-2013 12:42 AM

>x> i have bad timing

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:44 AM

Especially if it's blueberry.

what bad timing where why?

Red Lion 03-16-2013 12:45 AM

Hello Chocobo, what's wrong with your timing.

Yes, he likes his blueberry.

uncledaddy 03-16-2013 12:48 AM

You know what I bet he'd like? Maple-glazed salmon with walnuts.
