Ah. Haha. I used to sing. Was in a choir. Then I kind of quit because the supervisors are moneyhogs.

But I do still sing for fun, when I have the time to stumble out into the forest/park and no one's around.

Trips were expensive. Much more expensive than they needed to be. My family and I sat down and calculated the costs for these trips, and they came nowhere near the approximately $1000 we had to pay. Like, we used a cheap charter bus and ate take-out and McDonald's, and slept in cheap inns.

I was a bit older than most of the kids there, so they mostly had their own cliques. I didn't bother keeping in touch with them afterwards. I mean, we were good friends at the time, but we all had extremely different values, I guess.

Well, I'm also trying to extend my vocal range downwards, and that could potentially hurt my voice. But, whatever. my voice is already so messed up XD

Wow. o-o' But wouldn't the money you pay go to the school and not the teachers? Maybe the school was in desperate need of money, I don't know. XD Still no excuse for that, though. Alot of schools seem to be running down on money for some strange reason o.o'

So like..the choir was no in need of any more money. And considering that we borrowed church facilities at a very low cost and the faculty didn't really need to pay much to run the choir at all...

I mean, that was a $1000 trip. The bus ride was maybe, what...$20 per person? And we had five people per hotel room, so that would be around $20 per, for that, too, and food was a max of $50. Other facilities and such, okay, fine, I'll give that $100. "Tourism" (actually closer to "okay we've drove past such-and-such, that'll be enough") would be a max of $100 as well. So let's round that up to a generous $400.

...We're paying $1000 for a $400 trip.

As for extending my range downwards...uh...

...I have a very low voice for someone who is...biologically female. I can hit a low C (one octave below middle C). However, the highest note I can comfortably reach is about a middle A, six notes above middle C. And that is by far not enough to cover the female voice in most songs.

So I'd rather sing the male voice, and I'm more comfortable doing so anyways. Buuuut a lot of the male singing parts goes below what I can reach /comfortably/. So I'm trying to extend my range below a low C so that a low C will be comfortable.

And like...yeah, my voice is messed up. It's really hoarse and low, which means a lot of people assume I'm sick when they first meet me.
