>.< I sorta thought I wouldn't get started until I got back to school at the end of the month. So I'm really happy about my computer crapping out for a day.

trystan830 01-05-2018 10:44 PM

LOL... that's kind of a funny statement, actually XD

Claire Bear 01-05-2018 10:48 PM

>.< I know, I'm practically addicted to the internet, I needed a reason to not be online to kick start my reading lol.

trystan830 01-05-2018 10:56 PM

maybe give yourself a certain amount on time, then log off and read for another certain amount of time

Claire Bear 01-05-2018 11:03 PM

>.< I have to. lmao. I think boyfriend will be happy to see me online less, too. (even though he plays video games alllll night long!!!) I quit smoking a month ago and I think my internet addiction has gotten worse over the month. I'm not good at moderation! I have to work on that!

trystan830 01-05-2018 11:07 PM

good on you quitting smoking!

i do a lot of my crocheting while watching tv or other shows online. i do a lot of my reading during the week during breakfast (mon-thurs) and at lunch most days, and dinner on sundays.

Claire Bear 01-05-2018 11:12 PM

>.< quitting smoking has been really hard but i already feel so much healthier. oh i should read during dinner. that's a good idea.

trystan830 01-05-2018 11:32 PM

healthier is good! i'm proud of you =D

I'm making reasonably steady progress through my book, but I told myself I wouldn't blitz it, so I'm reading only one chapter at a time.

trystan830 01-06-2018 12:44 PM

Good luck, Quiet!

I read two more books, one was AMAZING and one was decent. Trying to decide if I want to keep my Kindle Unlimited subscription though...

Quiet Man Cometh 01-07-2018 10:18 PM

Reading is another of those things that I find I need to make a little habit of doing, or I tend to drop off doing it for ages, like cooking or my daily exercises. The more often I do it, the easier it seems to be to fit into the day.

trystan830 01-07-2018 10:20 PM

cooking. i don't do that a lot. well, at least, not complicated things anyway. XD

Quiet Man Cometh 01-07-2018 11:17 PM

It's pretty simple most of the time, and I really just mess around. Crock pot cooking is easy as anything. Put stuff in and let it sit. I made some attempts to be fancy by browning the meat in the bottom before I added the broth and such, then added veggies as I got around to it, then let it sit some more.

trystan830 01-07-2018 11:26 PM

i'm lazy.

there's also only three of us must of the time, and our younger daughter is a picky eater. i'd love to get a crockpot.... but i don't have the time to put it all together in the morning... LOL XD

Kaderin Triste 01-08-2018 11:32 PM

Couldn't you feasibly assemble your crockpot the night before and put it in the fridge (since most have the inner pot that fits into the heating base, but can be removed), then just pull it out and start it in the morning?
