Found a cheap copy of Fangirl while I was taking in some used books, so I'm on that now. I will finish Abalone Summer.

trystan830 02-02-2020 02:20 PM

i'm back to rereading the Hitchhiker's Trilogy. i'm on book 4. XD

Kaderin Triste 02-04-2020 08:39 PM

Read some the other day. Need to remember to update my progress soon. Still a good bit left before I finish anything though.
But after I finish the custom leash I'm making, I'm for sure taking at least a week off from looming because my wrist and fingers are angry. Because the person wanted it to be a very tight stitch. Which is really hard on my wrist and fingers to do.

But then I have to get back to making stuff soon to figure out how long it takes to make certain things so I can plan for either a workshop or class at the museum. Or both.
xD

I feel like this year may be a pretty busy year for me.

i'm almost done with Mostly Harmless. then i'm starting on my reread of my Sidney Sheldon books. some light reading. heh.

Stop reading so fast!
Lol

Library book event! Weeee!

Okay, I actually tend to forget the Tris events of late and have missed pretty much the lot in the past year, but books! It's calling me.

Still reading Abalone Summer (just a few pages left...) and Fangirl, off and on.

I picked up a beater copy of Good Omens at the used book store, and an anthology of recent horror writing inspired by Lovecraft.

i know, i'm loving the currency for this event! books!

my current book is the last book in the Murdoch Mysteries series. the character went one way in the books, and a different direction in the tv series, so that this last book is set like 20 years after the previous book (1917). but i think it's still about 10 years later than the current of the tv show (1908?... i think?)

Quiet Man Cometh 02-17-2020 03:41 AM

The currency is fun.

Has anyone here read Red, White, and Royal Blue? It's recommended to me all the time since I read Carry On but I spotted it on a Canada Reads list and now I'm curious.

update: i've finished reading academy girls by nora carroll. i really liked it. it had a gothic feel even though its setting isn't gothic.
still reading munnu though, and trying to keep up with reading for classes as well.

@Quiet: it's on my goodreads TBR but i haven't got my hands on it yet!

Quiet Man Cometh 02-21-2020 10:08 PM

Well Abalone Summer is done, and making it's way to the used book store methinks. I doubt I'll open it again. Debating what to read now, or rather, do I start a new book or finish the one that's already on the go? And if I pick a new book, do I read the new one I'm thinking about, or one of the ones on my "read this year" list?

trystan830 02-21-2020 10:29 PM

the other day i finished the last Murdoch Mystery book, and i'm back to working my way through my Sidney Sheldon rereads. somewhere in there i'll have a few library books too. i'm not sure when i'll read the Poldark book series, but my library has them all, so i can start them whenever. :D

Quiet Man Cometh 02-22-2020 04:24 AM

I've been way to absorbed in fanfiction lately so now I'm leafing through the actual book so I can remember what actually goes on in it.

Maybe I'll pick up Castle of Otranto since it's itty bitty. Haven't read Gothic in a while.

daikokunyo 02-24-2020 08:06 AM

i've downloaded some longfics to read on my kindle after exams are over. i can't wait to read them!

Kaderin Triste 02-24-2020 12:32 PM

I might finish a book tonight! Wooo!
