Not bad. Trying to do some writing but it's not going well with two kids playing Super Mario behind me. I may have to give up for the time being.

Yourself?

Oh, you're a writer?
What do you write? I write as well. :)
I could be better, had a bit of a rough day.

Quiet Man Cometh 07-04-2011 08:09 PM

I write poety and short prose mainly. Once and a while I get around to writing an actual short story but it's rare that I actually finish any. I'm working at getting published and do have a few pieces in non-paying mags. It's something so far.

Not too much of a sucky day I hope?

Would you mind posting some? I would love to read it.
Well, my dog has to be put down tomorrow. She has a tumour in her throat, it's cancer. Even with the operation, which we can not afford ( it's $3000 ), she would possibly still pass shortly after and would still be in pain. The only thing we can do is put her down and end her suffering.

I'm being quite calm about it now. I was a bit hysterical earlier.... but there isn't anything we can do but put her down and make sure that she can't suffer anymore.

Ah. I had the same thing happen with my sister's Jack Russel Terrier. She developed lymphoma. We might have spotted it sooner since she was having some breathing troubles but I at least attributed it to her being very overweight since it generally only came up in long walks. I was the only one at home and I ended up carrying her to the vet where we decided to put her down since it was beyond treatment by then. It was hard but I had my own dog to help me out a bit.

I have a couple short stories in the writers' diary here. I can't put up any of the stuff I'm working on because forums that don'e require membership to read are considered public and a lot of magazines won't take anything that has appeared on a public webpage. It's considered self-publishing.

Yeah, it's really sad. I feel bad for my Chihuahua, he seems depressed/uninterested and won't eat food either. He isn't sick as well, but you can tell that he knows something bad is about to happen and he loves my golden.

Oh, alright. I understand. I'll take a look at your thread in there. :)

Poem still not going anywhere. Sigh. Have the rhythm and general flow in my head but none of the words. Slows things up a bit.

nyreen 07-05-2011 09:57 PM

Awh, don't worry so much about it.
Take your time and let it come to you rather than rushing and forcing something out.

Quiet Man Cometh 07-05-2011 10:08 PM

I'm trying to make a deadline. The snag is have is that if I leave something until I get 'inspired' again, there's a good chance it will be years before I return to it. I'd like to get my writing speed up and be able to be a little more productive without having to wait for certain moods. I usually do okay when I work at something. I might be more picky than I need to be at times, I think.

I know how you feel.
The last time I attested to a store was a good month or two ago now.

D:

Quiet Man Cometh 07-07-2011 01:14 AM

Not sure I follow you there, Neirra. Attested to a store?

nyreen 07-07-2011 01:48 PM

Woah.
I'm so sorry what a bunch of typos.

o___o

Attempted to write a story*

nyreen 07-07-2011 01:49 PM

Sorry, I was extremely exhausted that night.

Quiet Man Cometh 07-07-2011 10:45 PM

No prob. I've amazed myself with some of the typos I've managed to pull. Successfully typed my entire name backwards once.

littl3chocobo 07-07-2011 11:42 PM

hahaha, awesome i couldn't even do that, mix the letters to hell and back but never fully reversed
