I had learned that lemon = explicit, lime = implied (like, changing scenes instead of describing it).

Every lime I've read was just light stuff OxO

and lemon = explicit/hard core which ever to describe it x3

I haven't read much fanfiction since I got out of college but the one lime I remember particularly well was a Ranma 1/2 one where it was clear that all of the hot and steamy action was going on (there was a book of techniques involved including pages marked "forbidden") but the action wasn't described in text.
