OMG! your tam came out so awesome, glitch! *mine pales in comparison LOL)
so much discussion has been had since i took a day off to recover from work. sometimes, interacting with people drains all my energy. i got off work yesterday at 5pm, had dinner with family and got home around 6ish. threw in a load of laundry and tried to watch a movie to relax, but by 8 i was beat and nodding off :( woke up again at 1am and was up for a few hours, but still managed to fall asleep again. today though, going to hang out with my kitties *one of which is the boris tam was referring to* and try to get at least everyone's outlines done so i can scan them into the computer and see how badly i have to go back over the lines with my stupid mouse and my stupid hands =_= (issues with numbing fingers and wrists...stupid hands) maybe i'll see if my tablet still works...doubt it. but i first have to find it. pretty sure it's in the open closet...*rambles on* |

okay...got my tablet all set up again (found board, then the broken mouse, then the broken semi-working pen, but no cord. then i remembered i pulled it out to charge the wii controller when my sister and i were playing yoshi's wooly world xD had to clean up the board and pen, but they are functioning again!)
did a test run to fix all the pen settings...but voila! *it is one of my avi, but i didn't want to do someone else in just a quickie sketchie type mode xD * but now that i have it semi-working, i can finish my pencil sketches of everyone and scan and draw them with my tablet! (until it dies again LOL) |

Yeah. If you hadn't said "quickie sketchie mode", I would've guessed much more time went into it.
(Might be because I judge based on my own speed. When I draw something, I have to redo every line at least twice, because apparently my brain and my hand don't speak the same language) |
lol...well, thanks guys ^__^ once i got my settings right, it really did only take me like 2 minutes to do that xD these that i'm doing for this thread though....i'm actually putting work into them.

I'm visiting my sister's this weekend to help watch my nephews. I'm thinking of some manner of arts and crafts project I can (sort of) do with them. At the very least, I am well supplied with Crayola and have some colouring pages they can mess with. |

I just remembered why stencils are evil. I have to somehow cut the black out without losing the white piece in the middle of it, or find a way to make it hover while applying the paint.
Perhaps I should consider doing some line art instead. |
Normally I'd suggest low tack tape, but since your canvas is tissue...

Yeah, that's an issue. I've actually decided to use the stencil as a cut out, paint it over, and then glue it on as I did the tissue. I'll test it first because of the risk of spreading the paint once the wet glue gets on top. I want to keep a sharp edge.
And so far I'm looking at a light house image for failure to find a suitable sailboat. |
