*changes the sign to say Lap 19*
|
@Den
Once more you decide to head to the left. There must be treasure somewhere, right? Only a couple steps later you arrive at the junction where going straight vaguely reminds you of math teachers. You can still walk ahead of course, or you take the path to your right. Continue straight, or go right? @Gizzie: You meet bluebird at the sphinx' secret lair. The sphinx doesn't seem too happy to encounter yet another traveler, but maybe that's because she didn't get a proper meal today. You however have no intent to become that meal. Therefore you decide to... Run away, or get ready to fight? @mdom You go left expecting world's greatest wonders and encounter... Muten Roshi sunbathing on a towel, completely naked. Noooooo! The horror! Can't unsee! Where's the brain bleach?? You press both hands onto your eyes and blindly run back towards the entrance. After you slowly and shakily gain your composure back, you believe there must still be dragon balls elsewhere. Maybe you find them this time. Once more you head into the maze. Go straight, or go left? |
@KittyBeary
No way you let a simple corn maze beat you. After all the correct path must be somewhere, and with every unsuccessful try you narrow it down a bit more. So it seems only natural for you to go straight. Around some serpentines you wander, and then a path opens up to the right. Continue straight, or go right? @bluebird The sphinx seems reasonably impressed. Anyone who can drop false teeth and set his own beard on fire sure must be an intelligent creature. You receive a bunch of tea lights, and it's definitely just a coincidence the sphinx starts flipping through a book of wine recommendations going well with grilled homo sapiens. After all you're too smart to roast yourself. You wave goodbye to your new friend and move on. Go right, or back to where you came from? @Merskelly Once more you decide to explore the left path. By now you have an almost complete map of that area. You know where the maze munches on people, and where you need to hold your breath. That traffic light seems new though, and when exactly did the whole thing turn into a race? You shrug it off. Even though you're not in the lead, there's still so much to discover. Maybe you find more tea lights, or even can book a flight with Galla Air. After a couple steps a path opens up to the right. Continue straight, or go right? |
you say that as if I've never seen my 87 year old dad naked!!
straight I GUESS |
@mdom
The corn maze does not assume what perverted things are going on in victims' households. Its purpose is solely to confuse people and eat everyone who remains entangled within corn stalks for too long. But since you're hardened by worse things, you march straight ahead. After several serpentines you reach the point where a path opens to your right. You remember this was where you collected the boy's candy. Continue straight, or go right? |
Continue straight D:
|
@mdom
You still have leftover candy, so you don't need to collect any more. Besides, you took all of it last time, so unless there's another kid lost in the maze, you'd be out of luck anyway. So you continue straight. After a long, long corridor you arrive at another junction. Continue straight, or go right? |
Straight again!
|
@mdom
For a second it almost seems as if the corn stalks attempt to hold you back, making you question your choice. But then you convince yourself dragon balls must hide somewhere close to the people searching for them - and maybe Patrick's magic teleporting you earlier also has something to do with Shenlong? Therefore you continue straight ahead. After roughly two meters you reach a path to the left. Continue straight, or go left? |
Go left aggressively
|
Go straight again.
|
@mdom
You stomp to the left and punch one of these stupid corn stalks in its cob. While you don't manage to knock out the stalk, you nevertheless feel much better afterwards. The path leads around a few corners, and then you find yourself once again at the junction where you stumbled into the naked old man not so long ago. Go left, or go right? @Major For a brief moment it seems as if the corn stalks are trying to hold you back. Do they want to prevent you from taking a wrong turn, or just lure you deeper into the maze? Maybe neither. It's merely corn, not some sentient being... correct? You move on, and after maybe two meters you reach a new path to the left. Continue straight, or go left? |
Get ready to fight or just feed him popcorn
|
@Gizzie
The sphinx appears much more interested in eating you than your popcorn. Coincidentially she has already decided on the right wine to go with her dinner. Under other circumstances you would admire her sophisticated taste. But right now you just want to survive that encounter without much harm. What do you want to do? 1) Start a debate about the ethics of eating meat 2) Ask if she has learned any new riddles recently 3) Kick the sphinx where it really hurts |
2. Riddles
|
@Gizzie
"Oh, how pleasant!", the sphinx exlaims. "You're already the second traveler today to show interest in my broad knowledge. I will reward you with tea lights, if you can solve this." Her smile broadens. "But if you guess wrong, you're certainly going to be a delicious meal." Yeah. Absolutely no pressure. The sphinx pauses and thinks for a moment. A farmer in California owns a beautiful pear tree. He supplies the fruit to a nearby grocery store. The store owner has called the farmer to see how much fruit is available for him to purchase. The farmer knows that the main trunk has 24 branches. Each branch has exactly 12 boughs and each bough has exactly 6 twigs. Since each twig bears one piece of fruit, how many plums will the farmer be able to deliver? |
Go to the right
|
Exactly! It's a 2000 IQ locked skill u know. thank the sphinx for her tea lights and
>head right |
Continuing straight has always seemed to be the right option, so...
I'll continue straight! |
I will go right.
|
Continue straight.
I will fight EVERYTHING. |
Zero plums because it's a PEAR tree
|
Well I picked up some red pears at the grocery store tonight... =u=
|
@mdom
You're determined to find the exit, and if you have to try every single path to achieve that goal. So you simply wave towards Master Roshi from the distance and head to the right this time. You reach a seemingly innocent dead end - no, wait. Is that a fishing line? Tug at the line, or retreat carefully? @bluebird There must be still so much more to discover. You head right, then left, and two times right again. Another turn to the left, and you arrive at a three way junction. With superior intelligence you combine the best option would be to... Go left, go straight, or go right? @KittyBeary No time to help random kids or puppies. You got an exit to find. So you simply ignore the new path and walk on straight ahead through the really long corridor. Up until this point everything seems familiar. You check your map and compass again. Here a path opens up to the right, leading southwards into the maze. Continue straight, or go right? |
@Den
Understandably you're in no hurry to find out if the corn stalks would try to capture you again. So instead you turn to the right, and after some meters come across another path where you could turn right once more. Otherwise there's always the option to continue straight ahead. Will you discover treasure, or merely spring a trap? Who knows! Continue straight, or go right? @Major You walk on and let nothing distract you from the path straight ahead. After marching around a corner you're at a junction where you head a strange noise from somewhere in front of you. Maybe your chance to fight will come faster than you thought. Or could it be something else waiting for you there? Someone else, maybe? Go straight to find out, or take the new path branching off to the right. Continue straight, or go right? @Gizzie "Aw, you got it", the sphinx reluctantly admits. "And I was already so looking forward to dinner! You wouldn't mind me taking just one bite, would you? Just a little nibble..." You back off slowly. The sphinx sighs. "Alright, alright. I promised I would reward you. Here, smart girl - take these!" With those words she hands you a bunch of tea lights. Then she tilts her head and looks at you like a kitten. "Say... do you still have some of that popcorn?" You have made a new friend (who will probably eat you, if you ever upset them). But since you haven't found the maze exit yet: go right, or back to where you came from? |
first time getting 3 choices
|
@bluebird
As you go straight into a small alcove, you stumble across two talking laboratory mice in a heated discussion. You listen for a while, and apparently they wanted to take over the world. Only to find themselves now stuck in a haunted corn maze instead. If you want, you can help them. Accompany the mice back to the entrance, lock them in a cage to perform science experiments on them, or join the noble quest for world domination? |
Tug at the line TO SAY HI TO GALLA
|
YEEHAW GUN CATCH ME A BIGGIN THIS TIME
|
Oh hey I will get to say hi too :)
|
@mdom
Supposedly the cloud, the traffic light and those lap signs gave it away. Nothing to fear this time, you already know what to expect from the fishing line. So upwards you go. You see a Galla, and a Mekatra. |
sup, nerd. want a chicken sandwich?
|
YES
and a Yoshi costume bc Yoshi is bae |
oh maize version of pinky and brain.
>join the noble quest for world domination cuz WHY NOT |
@bluebird
Now you know what you are going to do tonight. The same thing you do every night from now onwards, probably. World domination is no easy task, and when the dark side promised you cookies, they forgot to mention it means first and foremost hard work - and failure. Lots and lots of failed plans, where you just need to get back on your feet, dust off your evil garb, and try again. Since nobody has ever heard about anyone taking over the world from within a corn maze, and the smaller one of the mice demands you prove your worth before joining them, you escort them back to the exit. Go straight, go left, or skip the maze tonight in favor of world domination plans? |
Shares popcorn then heads to go right
|
That's right. You just reminded of something important. Something I've forgotten through all these twists and turns. Before I dominate world, I must conquer the maze first.
>stra-------wait! "you escort them back to the exit." EXIT!!! |
I will go right.
|
I'm just going to watch people get lost or take a nibble at the fishing line.
