Yeah, haha. So much to do, so short a life...

Angel Spirit Girl 07-02-2011 10:20 PM

Yup! All sorts of things to do or places to go.

femme gauche 07-02-2011 10:21 PM

But that makes it harder!

Angel Spirit Girl 07-03-2011 09:47 PM

So many books, so little time. XD

femme gauche 07-04-2011 09:52 PM

Yah, exactly! XD. I've said I'd love to be a vampire or something, a la Stephenie Meyer (cause then I could go out in the sun and live, and whatnot), just so I would have plenty of time to learn things and the capacity to learn them well xD.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-04-2011 11:16 PM

It could be fun to be an immortal elf. ^.^

femme gauche 07-04-2011 11:27 PM

Haha yes, that would work as well XD. I wouldn't want it so I could have power or anything like that, I just would want to be able to you know, accomplish things, learn and whatnot XD. Though I think vampire would still beat elf, because elves are immortal cause they don't grow old or ill, but they can die by injury xP.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-07-2011 10:28 PM

But a vampire is dead and drinks blood. XP

femme gauche 07-07-2011 10:33 PM

Yeah, but I mean, immortality... XD. I'm talking the kind that eat animals for sustenance :P. Kind of like normal humans do. Well, most of us anyway! I know you do cause you were talking about crunchy bacon on Solia xD. But um, it isn't as though it is possible, so it doesn't really matter.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-07-2011 10:57 PM

I guess I was thinking that the one constant that vampires have in stories is that they are dead and want to drink blood.

femme gauche 07-07-2011 10:58 PM

I did say Stephenie Meyer, though XD.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-08-2011 10:12 PM

Still dead, still drinks blood, but now ..... sparkles???

femme gauche 07-08-2011 10:54 PM

Oy. We'll change the subject, now.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-09-2011 11:30 PM

Yeah. Let's. XD

Anyway, I went to a rubber stamp expo today.

It was fairly small but nice. I got a couple of things.

femme gauche 07-10-2011 10:34 PM

A... rubber stamp expo? XD.

Lauv Keiko 07-11-2011 06:46 PM

what's a rubber stamp expo?? >A<

Angel Spirit Girl 07-11-2011 08:44 PM

An exhibit type show where you can buy rubber stamps and ink pads and stuff.

Lauv Keiko 07-12-2011 05:41 AM

Angel Spirit Girl 07-12-2011 10:40 PM

No. They were not at a particularly good price -- just a rather regular one. However, they had a very lovely selection without having to resort to using the internet.

femme gauche 07-13-2011 01:07 AM

Wow... that seems like a rather specific collection of things to expo XD.

Angel Spirit Girl 07-30-2011 10:06 AM

It wasn't completely huge.

They only had about 18 (or 20) vendors, but it mostly filled a small expo hall.

It was just a nice shopping size.

femme gauche 07-31-2011 12:46 AM

Aw, that sounds nice, then *nods*.

This weekend (saturday and sunday) I am working at what's called a Maker Faire, which I guess is a pretty new thing (this is the second time they've had it here), it's a DIY type thing, there are all sorts of cool things going on and dozens of makers - of food, crafts, etc. I was selling drinks for The Henry Ford, because we are hosting it...

Angel Spirit Girl 08-02-2011 07:09 PM

I've been at my seasonal cookie packing job lately.

Last weekend I went to my local SF convention. It was fun. ^.^

Then this past Sunday I went and saw Harry Potter 7 : pt 2.

That handmade show you were at sounds very interesting.

femme gauche 08-04-2011 01:34 PM

No, not necessarily handmade - some of the things are machines, inventions and the like. There was a booth where people were selling products created with a 3-D printer. There were handmade bits inside, but I didn't see much of them, haha.

Angel Spirit Girl 08-27-2011 06:14 PM

Oh! Like an invention convention. Cool!

femme gauche 08-27-2011 09:47 PM

Yeah, that's pretty much what it was. But the term "maker" spanned inventors and crafters.

Angel Spirit Girl 08-28-2011 03:20 PM

That was nicely inclusive. ^.^

femme gauche 08-28-2011 09:17 PM

Mhmmm. There were three in the country - New York, Bay Area (California), Detroit. Well, technically, Dearborn, but it was called Detroit.

Angel Spirit Girl 09-25-2011 08:06 PM

That is very cool.

I have been working at my seasonal cookie packing job and reading.

One series I am reading is the Wizard of Earthsea by Le Guin.

femme gauche 09-25-2011 08:58 PM

Yah it was :). Wish I could have come, haha. Instead of working it. But it cost a lot of money anyway...

Angel Spirit Girl 09-25-2011 09:27 PM

Hey. Having an income is good. <3

femme gauche 09-25-2011 09:29 PM

Yeah, but something like that .. it is only a couple days xP.

Angel Spirit Girl 09-25-2011 09:41 PM

That is the sad part about temp jobs - they are not permanent.

femme gauche 09-25-2011 09:42 PM

No, no.. I meant that the Maker Faire was only a couple of days to have missed work for; my income continues to be present.

Angel Spirit Girl 09-25-2011 09:47 PM

Oh! Well, the Maker Faire was only so long. I guess you know that was what I was thinking of. XD

It's good you have a job.

femme gauche 09-25-2011 10:00 PM

I worked at it because it was at the place where I work. Haha.

Angel Spirit Girl 10-02-2011 03:07 PM

Ah ha ha! That is quite convenient. :3

femme gauche 01-06-2012 12:21 AM

I suppose so, though it meant that I couldn't really go around and experience it. Well, someone has to work there.

Angel Spirit Girl 01-09-2012 07:00 PM

Yeah. That would be one bad thing -- not getting to shop around and see everything.

What is new lately?

femme gauche 01-09-2012 07:14 PM

not much. But I have a smartphone now. I am using it to type this. With my voice. that part is pretty exciting. we just got them yesterday. still getting use to it. my old phone was, as I say, a bar of soap.
