I was thinking about all of the children the overlords control... I was thinking they wouldn't have regular names y'know... they'd just be numbers or something once they got their whole mind zap thing. Even maybe get a tattoo with their new "name". Getting holocausty now but I was thinking the overlords wouldn't much care what names they were given at birth y'know. xD

Sure that makes sense. Only favorites would get named for the sake of being able to speak it and call them. Now that gets me thinking on the children's communication with each other. In the battlefield some intelligence will be needed (tho you don't want slaves getting too smart). Will their names be the originals? What about those born during this time? How were they born? Could be cloned, the race is simply dying out, or some are kept fully human long enough to... ;>> yeah sensitive stuff. But nwo I have something to think about when naming and giving a personality/bg and all.

Ya makes sense. My guy is just gonna have a number though. Oh and you'll see this when I post my description but his last names is left blank because he's not gonna remember it, at least not for now.
Ah funny thing. I totally didn't mean to do this when I picked out his name. When I choose names for just about anything I just pick random ones until something just sticks. So I came up with Miles for him.
I like to see what the meaning of names are so I looked Miles up and it means soldier lmao. Then I just had to do it because of that chance. xD

Mmm-hmm, lots of questions... perhaps both? They could just use the older teenagers who aren't as useful as soldiers or (technicians?) for breeding until they get old enough that their little mind jutsus start wearing off and they're disposed of. D:
Then cloning for when their armies are wearing thin and they don't have enough kids who are 13 or older to be used. But it wouldn't be done too much or else they could all just clone a ton of kids and try to overpower each other with force.

Whew character made. I have a first post forming in my mind. Probably best to start with his escape? I'm proud of what I thought of as his ability. He can do lots of things but like the profile explains it's also very limited.

Lol ya I know the feeling. If I'm really into the rp I can't wait for the other person to reply and my mind just goes over everything that could happen. I tend to think of what I would write myself, but that's the fun of rps, you never quite know what your partner is gonna think of so you're more surprised. xD

hehe I'm up for xmen based RPs anytime. Though because the movie came out recently I'm surprised no one has created one. Even a search (maybe I missed it though).
Story: Man kind made some colony ships that launched in time to avoid the inner turmoil that caused widespread destruction across Earth. They are all bound towards Alpha Centauri; the newly space explorers wasted no time to watch the rest of humanity spiral to extinction on Earth as they left the Sol System right away. At this point we also have suspended animation pods which all the crew sleeps in as the AI handles the majority of the trip. People still age but much much more slowly. Two biological years would pass by the time we reach our destination. However upon waking up we notice the damage and destruction of many parts of the ship. Some pods are broken and the bodies inside...rotten. I have 3 surprises for the characters to be revealed basically all at once when they reach the bridge or some kind of command or security terminal.

Stasis Pods: the suspended animation technology works in conjunction with nanomachines in our bodies. It allows to interface with terminals and control various machines. But remember that nothing aboard Pegasus was designed for combat. The nanites themselves were designed to keep us healthy. /note

The Pegasus: It is basically a giant flying saucer. It's constant rotation provides gravity. Imagine a carnival ride that's a wheel. People are strapped to the wall, when the machine starts to spin they are forced again the wall right? It works like that, forcing them to the "wall" closest to the outside of the ship. The wall acts like a floor, the center of the saucer being up no matter which part of the ship you are in. Things are designed also to be functional in zero gravity though so there are things like rails and such. No stairs, but ladders instead.
...I hope my idea isn't horribly flawed. But it's fun to me to think about things like this x3 Wrote it all down in a rush of thought. Remember I made this stuff up in idle fantasy so there could be things wrong. Especially given how detailed it all is lol

When I daydreamed this place up I was thinking of it like a video game ;) Would you like to know what the surprises are? And am I being scary with the long post and all the details ^^;;

Only exception is if you have an AMAZING plot that doesn't include any romance, but it needs to be plain awesome. c:
