About seven and a half hours later Zac opened his eyes,"Jasmine, Kali, we are almost there." He said looking over his shoulder. "Barnaby, you better have not eaten all of that fruit." He said with a frown.
Barnaby let out a weak screech. "Well that's what you get, for being a piglet." Zac said with a chuckle. |
Kali turned her head slightly to look at Zac, she had not slept a wink, unlike Jasmine or her cat, "I figured it had to about time now..." She sunk into the chair, closing her eyes a bit. The landing was the worst part, in her opinion.

Jasmine was vaguely aware of Zac's words, but it was Barnaby's screech that really made wake up. She sat up slowly and rubbed sleep from her eyes. Blinking in the dim light of the plane she stretched. "That was a nice nap." She commented, speaking to no one in particular. "So, once we get there what will the arrangements be? Where will we be staying and such?" She asked.

"Well my house is rather big, so you can choose whatever room you want." Zac said with a smile. "Oh and Randy will have some dinner made for you." He said as he stood up to get the engorged Barnaby. He picked up Barnaby and went back to his seat.
*** The plane landed and Zac got off. "Well you two welcome to England." Zac said with a smile. |
Kali hurried off the plane with Solomon in tow. You could tell he was rather displeased about being here. There had to be at least 10 vampires near by for his agitation to be this apparent, "Zac..I suggest we hurry out of here..he's not too happy."

Jasmine followed them off the plane, looking around with childlike curiosity. She expected she would stay with Zac for a while, but she also thought eventually she would get a job and her own house. She didn't like the feeling of being independent. "This place is amazing!" She said with an excited laugh.

"Let's go my car is in my hanger garage. You bags will be at my house within the hour." Zac said as he quickened his steps. He didn't like the feeling that he was getting from Solomon.
"Zachary I can't believe you are back and only after two years." A blond hared woman said as she appeared next to Zac. "Well hello Aunt Helen. How are you?" He asked trying to show some interest. "I'm fine dear. How are you? I mean you have two beautiful women here, and you are infatuated with both of them." She said in a cooing manner. "I'm good, and quiet with that. Now go you are pissing off the cat." Zac said as he waved her away. |
Solomon snarled, his ears flat on his head. Kali could only assume why, "I'll meet you out there, alright Zac? I'm sure he has..business to take care of as well." She hurried out the nearest door, unsure of where she was going really. She just had to get Solomon away from the crowd. Once outside, Solomon was still a bit on edge, but he was much more relaxed. "I know you don't like not using a Box, but you have grass, use it or hold it until I can get you a Box." The cat made no protest as he discretely took care of what he needed to while Kali looked away. He came back with a purr, rubbing himself against her leg. "I don't want to pick you up after that..you can walk."

Jasmine raised an eyebrow when the women mentioned his infatuation, but wasn't surprised since she had had a similar thought earlier. She turned and decided it might be best to leave them be to talk. She walked to were Kali was seated. "He's pretty." She said, looking at Solomon.

He nodded, "Please don't leave me alone with her." Zac thought to himself.
"Come now Zac, you know it isn't right to mix with humans. Didn't you learn that with Isabelle?" She asked. "Don't you dare mention Isabelle." He said as his eyes turned red. "Aw did I hit a heart string of the infamous Zac?" She asked slightly intrigued. "Just leave me alone Aunt Helena. If you wanna talk set up a meeting. You know the rules." Zac said with a sigh. "Fine Zac." Helena said as she disappeared. Zac went out the door and saw Kali and Jasmine, "Sorry about that." |
Kali smiled, stroking Solomon's back as he purred, "Thank you...he's a Savannah cat; a man made mix between the servil and a domesticated cat. Savannah's are the largest of the domesticated cats and very intelligent." She scratched his ears slightly, looking up as Zac came over, "It's alright..relatives will be relatives."

Jasmine looked up as Zac came to them. She still couldn't quite believe all this had really happened. She expected to wake up on her bed at home and laugh about what a strange dreams she'd had. "Too the car, then?"

"Ya but she should of went through the proper channel's to talk to me. That's why they are there, but oh noo my damn family has to be all the same and just pop in on me." Zac said a little peeved. "Ya, my car is over there. You guys actually went out the right door." He said with a smile as he went to his car. "Here is my other baby." Zac said opening his arms showing off his Ferrari California.

Kali stared, "The Cali! Oh..my..gawd!"She hurried over, dragging Solomon with her. She examined the car with awe, not daring to touch it, "I've been dreaming of owning one of these since they were released! Oooohhh I want to drive it sssooo bad.."

Jasmine giggled at Kali's reaction. She hadn't realized cars could cause someone so much pleasure. Though it was good to see the girl happy. She wondered how much stress leaving home had put on her.

Zac smiled, "Wanna drive?" He said dangling the keys. "Hmm maybe when it is daytime, and when you don't have a 45 pound cat. Not saying that you are fat Solomon." He said in an apologetic manner. "Well let's get going shall we?" Zac said as he got into the drivers seat.

Kali almost fainted at the offer, but agreed with Zac, "Indeed..and Solomon would like me to tell you he's only 31.4 pounds.." Her eye twitched a bit as he started to dig his claws into her jeans. She quickly moved the cat away, climbing in the back. It was easiest for her to sit back here with Solomon; he would have some space away from Zac.

Jasmine got into the back seat on the other side of Kali. She held out her hand to Solomon, seeing how he would react to her. She always found it was best to let animals come to you rather than the other way around.

Zac started the car, "Don't worry I wont speed." He said with a devilish grin as he backed out. He got on the road, and sped a little. About twenty minutes later he pulled into his driveway. "Well here is my house." Zac said as he got out of the car.

Kali smiled, stroking Solomon's back as Jasmine reached out her hand. Solomon purred, sniffing her hand a moment before rubbing his face against it. "He's really only aggressive to vampires; you know sixth sense and all. He'll be rather handy in that fact." She scratched at the base of Solomon's back and tail, watching with a smile as his legs stretched out, raising his back end.
Soon, the car was coming to a stop as they came to Zac's house, "W-wow..it's more impressive than your house in America. You don't get..visited much I hope...else Solo and I will never get sleep; not to mention poor Jasmine will have to listen to him as well." She climbed out of the car, carrying Solomon out before setting him down. She knelt down, "You may explore, but stay close enough to hear me whistle." She unclipped the leash from his harness and made sure his tag was secure on his collar before watching him speed off, already hunting down a mouse. She stood with a smile, "Don't worry, he won't run off." |
Jasmine got out of the car and let out an appreciative whistle. The place was big and beautiful. She wondered vaguely how long Zac had been alive. It had to have been a while in order to have enough money to buy two very nice homes and probably numerous other expensive items.
"That's... impressive." She said as she walked toward the house. "How long have you had this place?" |
"Usually not, occasionally I have fledglings pop in for help with training. But other than that no." Zac said as he cracked his back. "Not worried, my whole house is fenced in." He said waving his hand. "Thanks, since 1968 I think. When you get older you tend to forget actual dates." Zac said running his hand through his exposed hair.

Kali chuckled a bit as he mentioned fences, "He'll jump them if he really wants to. There's no containing the beast~" She gave him an odd look as he mentioned how long he's had the house, "Just how old are you exactly? If you don't mind my asking."

Jasmine smiled, wanting to know the answer to Kali's question herself. "He's probably old and decrepit. I bet he's got face lifts to look this young all these years." She teased lightheartedly.

"I don't mind, and hey I'm not decrepit. If you wanna see decrepit I'll show you my Uncle Donald." Zac said with a laugh. "I was born in 1860, so that means I am 150 years old. I'm not as old as some of the other house leaders but I have thousands of years of my family history in my head." He said with a sigh. "Poor Uncle Donald though, he is the oldest person in my house, he turns 2,000 this year." He said thinking of a gift. "Anyway shall we go inside." Zac said putting his hands in his pockets.

She laughed a bit, "What are you talking about? You're an old fart compared to us at least." Her jaw dropped as he mentioned his uncle, "Just how long do you things live for anyway?" She started to head inside as he mentioned it...vaguely wondering what Solomon was doing.

Jasmine laughed and then cheerily sang to a very generic tune, "Zac is ancient. He's an old fart~" She laughed again and then walked to his side so he could lead the way into the house.

"I'm not old." Zac said with a small pout. Well we things can live as long as we don't get decapitated, a wooden stake through the heart, and for some fire." He said as he walked to the door. He opened it and walked in, "Now be careful I have some expensive stuff around. Guess who's home!" He somewhat yelled.
Two high pitched screams came from the kitchen and two women came running to the foyer. "Master Zac its good to see you again." The lady's said at the same time and with a bow. He plunged his ear, "Hi Layla, and Lindsey. How have you two been." Zac asked with a smile. "We have been good sir. And who are these two lovely lady's?" Layla and Lindsey asked at the same time. "Ah yes where are my manners, this is Kali, and this is Jasmine. They will be staying with us until the war in America is over." He said pointing to Kali and Jasmine. "Can you two give them a tour, for me please? I need to shower." Zac said as he went to the stairs. "Yes sir!" They said as they grabbed Kali and Jasmine's arms. "And why must you torment us? Now we are gonna picture you in the shower." Layla and Lindsey said as they headed for the kitchen. Zac smiled as he walked up the stairs. |
Kali blinked, unsure of how to take to the twins, "Ah...okay?" She glanced to Jasmine, obviously uncomfortable with one of them hanging onto her. This is going to be a long day..I just know it.

Jasmine's eyes widened and her mouth made the shape of an 'o.' He had to twin girls working for him? Did they just stay here while he was gone and wait till he came back? It seemed an odd idea, but by they way they had greeted him she couldn't help but think it was a possibility. That would be an incredibly boring job to her, but she assumed they liked Zac enough to not care.
Her eyebrows skyrocketed when they spoke of thinking of him in the shower. She assumed it was a joke, but it made her wonder what kind of a relationship he had with them. Before she could really think about it she was being dragged around by one of them. She looked over at Kali in time to see her expression and returned with a look that suggested this whole thing was incredibly odd. "Sooo... how long have you too worked for Zac?" She asked them. |
"Since our mother died ten years ago." Lindsey and Layla said. "She worked for him for forty years." They said as they entered the kitchen. "Hi daddy." The girls said with a smile.
"Hi girls." Randy said turning around. "So these must be Jasmine and Kali." He said with a smile. "It is nice to meet the both of you. I hope my daughters weren't to much trouble." He said. "And you two how many times do I have to tell you not to check out Zac?" Randy asked putting his hands on his hips. "Sorry daddy, its just that he is so hawt. And then the fact that he is an older man." Layla and Lindsey said with a shiver. |
Kali tore herself from the grip of the girl who was holding her, throwing her hands out to keep her from coming back, "Okay stop you two! You seriously weird me out! Just stay as far away from me as possible. I'm going to go get Solomon. You're welcome to join me Jasmine." She hurried out back the way they came. Once outside she leaned up against a tree, running her hand through her blonde hair, "I should've just stayed home..."

Jasmine followed Kali with her eyes, but decided to stay put until things got far to weird. "Uuuh, sure... I guess he is." She was actually positive he was, but wasn't about to admit it out loud. "How old are you guys anyway?" She hoped they were younger than her. It would seen odd to her if they weren't, but then again, wasn't this day full of odd things.

"We are 25, what are you daddy like 90?" The girls asked.
"I'm only 50, thank you. Jasmine are you hungry?" Randy asked looking at her. Zac appeared a few feet away from Kali, "Sorry about the twins, but their mom made me promise that I would help them. And this is my way to help them, to put them up and pay them a salary." He said crossing his arms. "You know I like the sky here in England better then America. It seems more open." Zac said taking a deep breath and looking up. |
She looked up, "Because it's not about sky scrapers here...it's about being more down to Earth and realistic with plans and goals." She closed her eyes, resting her head on the tree, "Either way, it still looks the same to me." She brought her fingers to her lips giving a loud and fairly long whistle. "Hopefully he's not too far off. I hate it when he wanders." She opened her eyes looking at Zac, "Why did you tell us about you being a vampire? You knew it was only going to cause issues for the three of us, yet you did it anyway."

Jasmine sighed slightly. Of course they were older than her. Life simply wouldn't let it be another way. "Yeah, I could use something to eat, but you shouldn't go to any trouble."

"Don't worry dear, I have nothing else better to do. Since Zac doesn't eat, I really have nothing much to do." Randy said with a small sigh.
Zac sighed and laid on the ground, "Do you really want to know Kali?" He asked but knew her answer would be yes. "Usually when human's are told, they don't believe. Anyway, I usually only tell people that I feel a deep connection too. And one of my powers is that I can change a person's emotions with just one touch." He said raising his finger. "I also feel the person's emotions. The reason that I told you and Jasmine is because I..." Zac said as he trailed off. |
Kali raised a brow, crossing her arms, "Don't get all shy on me Zac. I'm asking you a serious question. If you would've just manipulated us to just brush off the occurrences and leave, I would be at home, enjoying a few hours with my mother and then perhaps hanging out with a few friends from school. Now I'm on the other side of the world with someone I barely know, yet alone trust because he's a vampire. I know I came of my own volition, but the main reason I agreed was so my mother could do what she does best without having to worry about me." She pinched the bridge of her nose, letting out another long whistle, "Where the fuck is that stupid cat?"
Suddenly Solomon jumped down from the tree, landing on her shoulders. She couldn't help but fall forward a bit as the force of the cat hit her. She quickly balanced herself with a sigh, "You're not a shoulder cat anymore Solo, you're too large. Get down." The cat refused to move, hissing at Zac and swiping his paw at the air. |
"Alright then, just give me whatever you feel like cooking. I'm not picky. You've worked here quite some time, it sound like. What do you do when he's gone? Just hang around?" Jasmine asked.

"Usually, he still pays us when he isn't here. And since his body only ages once every ten years, he only stays here for a few years and then back to the states for a few more." Randy said as he grabbed a few pans.
Zac sighed sitting up, "I care very deeply for you Kali. The way your eyes glisten when you see a painting, the way your voice goes down when your yelling at Solomon." He said with a small chuckle. "My emotions have always gotten the better of me. That's why I killed that whole coven." He said with a sigh. "Um excuse me, if your hungry Randy is making some food." Zac said as he disappeared. |
