He frowned a little hearing her call out asking what he'd do if she kept going. 'tsk.. smart ass' he said under his breath before answering her. "Nothing if I have any say in it" was his reply to her, and that was his plan he didn't need to do anything to her. Not with the thin ice he was already walking on. Though there was only so much he could take even if he could hide most of his thoughts and feeling son the matter.. he doubted this was the end of her teasing by a long shot.
He wasn't really asleep when she came out of the room, though he acted like it. He had nothing he really wanted to say to her, sure there were a few thoughts but he needed to keep them to himself instead of pushing on the little 'game' they had going. Besides she was going back tomorrow.. though he didn't think it was the best idea not if someone there was the reasons he ran from the camp in the first place. But that wasn't his business either he couldn't just tell her any crap like hey if anyone hurts you or if you need help tell me. He needed to get his mind together he'd need it with him for tomorrow if he wanted to ensure she got to her camp and without him getting caught in the process. Then he'd avoid going near the damn place. After a while when Judith had been in the other room for a while he guessed she was either asleep or close to it he got up from where he was and grabbed a shirt throwing it on. She'd be fine here and he couldn't think at the moment, he had a good mind to take the guard he ran into today up on his offer of a few drinks. That's what his plan was anyway as he walked out of the door, it'd be a good way to send off again seeing as he didn't plan to return here for a while once more. This would also fix his currently screwed up sleeping schedule.. he's suppose to be awake at these hours not sleeping. But they had gotten messed up with his trying to stalk Judith before he knew who she was.. But now he just wanted to get rid of her before she pushed him into a corner where he couldn't stop himself from her teasing. He stayed away for most of the night it seemed, it was probably around four or five am before he walked back into the house. Though he seemed sober enough for being out that long. He guessed Judith was still asleep so he didn't bother to check up on her as he walked back towards the sofa pulling his shirt back off in the process before flopping onto it again. The whole shirt thing was because it was because he complained about the heat though it was cooler under ground or in the caves he still couldn't stand the temperature. He needed to wait out a few hours then he'd wake her if she didn't get up on her own and start taking her back to her own. |
It had taken some time before she finally became comfortable. Judith always had a problem with getting comfortable even in her own bed. It was probably because the bed itself wasn't as comfortable as she would like it to be. She missed her own bed at home. Though even when she finally got comfortable she still couldn't sleep for what seemed like forever. Judith's mind was all over the place, she was tempted to go bother Rhyldrin on the couch. Though she quickly decided not to seeing as he had been grumpy earlier and had not gotten any rest recently. Besides there was only so much he could take before he snapped. She finally fell asleep, giving into her needs. Judith woke up early in the morning, she wasn't sure what time it was. Perhaps six or seven, maybe even later or it could be earlier, she didn't know for sure. She stretched out her arms above her head and stretched out her legs. Rhyldrin's bed was rather big and she had plenty of room in it unlike her own bed in her tent. It took some time for her to get out of bed, she could tell that she would be cold once she removed the blankets. She sighed and climbed out of the bed, she was right. It was rather cold. She rubbed her eyes for a moment then made her way to the doorway. Judith looked over at Rhyldrin, it looked as if he was still sleeping. "Rhyldrin?" she purred and brought herself beside the couch. Judith looked down at him smiling, she was tempted to poke him but she managed not to do so. |
He never went back to sleep, though he did have his eyes closed so it seemed like he was resting. He was use to laying still and keeping his breathing to a minimal even in his own house he didn't trust most of his own kind. Though he had his reasons to be cautious.. no one had done him any favors aside from Neimi and her husband maybe.
He stayed where he was even though he could hear there was movement from the bedroom, he guessed Judith was finally getting up. About time too he was a few minutes from getting up himself and going to wake her. Though now he didn't have to so he remained where he was being a bit of a better mood then he was last night before she went to bed. He knew she was there long before she spoke his name, though after she did he opened one eye and looked at her. She seemed to be smiling at him though he hardly knew why. "Yees?" He said to her, seeing as she said his name first he figured she wanted something. Though he didn't seem to be as snappy today after getting most of his thoughts under control.. and probably drinking more then his liver would have wanted him to. Though even with one eye open he never bothered moving as he continued to lay where he was, he was comfortable.. and it's not like they were in that much of a hurry. She didn't even know that he was planning to take her back today. Though to admit it .. it was a bit odd to look up and see her face like that, let alone why was she in such a good mood? |
"I hope that I didn't wake you," Judith's eyes wandered over his body, when he didn't move she assumed that he was too comfortable to do so. Judith brought herself to sit beside the couch, the floor was cold but she would tolerate it. She didn't feel like standing and looking down at him for too long. Eventually her neck would become sore from doing so. "I woke up and I couldn't get back to sleep, though I did sleep well. Thank you for giving me your bed," she looked at him, the smile remained on her face. "Though it would have been better if you kept me company." she teased then laughed. Judith feel silent, she brought a hand up and let her hair out of the bun. She shook her head and allowed it to fall everywhere messily. "Did you sleep well?" she asked him, Judith wasn't too sure what to talk about. Rhyldrin didn't seem that interested but she was in a good mood and felt like talking. Perhaps he would finally show some interest in her, the only time he had was when she teased him or he was teasing her. |
"hardly, I've been awake for a while" Was his sort reply to her saying she hoped she didn't wake him. After she moved to sit on the floor he sat up a little stretching both arms over his head though he caught himself short on hi left one being quickly reminded there was a still healing wound there. "tsk.. that was stupid.. " he muttered under his breath before putting his hand over the spot and squeezing it once.
Though he was still listening to her as she sat in the floor. He moved a bit more so he wasn't taking up the whole sofa. "You don't have to thank me.. most of the time I never sleep in there anyway" He never said why but most of the time it was because if he was here when he was home it was after drinking probably way too much for his own good... and after a while they did knock him out if he stayed still long enough. He next comment he shook his head at a little before laughing slightly he wasn't going to tell her he wasn't even here half er well most of the night. "I think we both known better then that, you can tease all you want i doubt you really enjoy my company that much" He smirked a little it was a little funny to him even if he wouldn't have minded for it to be true. "well enough, I never sleep well here" Really it held too many memories of his childhood and he was always looking out for his.. stalker so to speak.Though he was still watching her as she sat in the floor, after a moment he sighed before speaking again. "You don't have to sit in the floor.. I don't bite often" The last part was thrown in for amusement, if she was allowed to pick at him he found it fair game. He almost felt like he was stalling.. he needed to take her back it'd take a few hours to walk that far at the least. Why would he stall though it's not like there was anything between the two of them. Though it was a thought he certainly didn't mind and with her making that tease about keeping her company... that certainly didn't help his thoughts. But for now he wasn't letting it show he was thinking about anything of the sort. |
Judith brought a hand to her hair and playfully curled some hair around her finger. She knew that he would bring her back to the camp soon and she wasn't looking forward to it. Brishen would listen to her though, he was a cruel man but he wouldn't tolerate his own sister being stalked by one of his men and harmed. Thinking about it more made her feel as if she should have done worse to Uldric. He really didn't deserve to breath anymore. Judith brought her attention back to Rhyldrin, she wondered how dangerous the little game that they were playing could become. Though she doubted that Rhyldrin could hurt her, he wouldn't hurt her even if he decided to try anything because she wouldn't mind. "How do you know that?" she asked him when he said that he doubted she would really like his company. Judith smiled at him when he moved giving her space to sit beside him. She stood and brought herself to the couch, she sat down without hesitated and crossed her arms over her chest. She chewed on her lower lip then stopped when she decided to speak again. "You would be surprised at what I like," she looked at Rhyldrin and smiled, she wasn't trying to look alluring though she didn't have to try. "And if you bite then I don't mind." she wondered how far she could push him before he snapped. |
He had half a mind to ask where Judith got the marks on her wrists from.. but he doubted she'd tell him. Though she didn't say too much about it either so he figured she could handle whatever her issue was with her own kind by herself. Not like he could do anything unless she gave him a description of this 'person' she was having trouble with as she stated before.. though then he'd still have to leave the camp.
He let that thought go knowing he didn't have a right to ask when she didn't seem to want to tell him. He didn't even need to worry about her this much if it came down to it she had been fine all of these years so why worry now. He blamed the slight lack of sleep to his minds thoughts and worries all of a sudden though he didn't voice any of them. "hrm?" He questioned her how did he know but he laughed after she asked it he had a smart ass answer though he was joking really "Because if you enjoyed my company that damn much you'd beg to stay here" He sort of laughed again at the fact he even said that aloud. Though it might have been dangerous to say such a thing with how she had been acting recently. He gave her a bit of a odd look yet it was more of he didn't believe her still as he spoke again "oh would i now? I'm almost curious enough to ask" He smirked a bit though he didn't ask what she liked, he knew very well she was probably bold enough to turn that question against him if he did so. He seemed to be watching his steps this time around instead of being as open as he had been when they were in the forest. Though he had his reasons for this he still debated if he trusted her, and he wasn't sure how far she was willing to go with her teases and taunts. Though her next comment made him laugh again, she was still a odd one that was for sure. Saying such strange things like that.. let alone to someone who she's suppose to be wanting to kill. "I was joking about that you know" Though he still had a sort of smirk on his face finding this all amusing and from the events last night after she went to sleep it probably wasn't helping. |
"I don't beg," she hissed at him playfully. "If you wanted me to stay then I could but I think that would just end up causing you more problems than you really need." Judith wouldn't know how to react if Rhyldrin asked her to stay with him, though she doubted that that would ever happen. "Even if me staying here didn't cause you problems it would certainly cause me problems." she smiled warmly at Rhyldrin despite the subject. "My brother would notice that I'm gone and Uldric-" she paused for a moment realising that she had said the bastard's name. "They might look for me, especially because of what I did to that bastard." she smiled at Rhyldrin almost tempted to tell him what had happened. Judith had another reason for not being able to stay. If she did then it would only make Brishen suspicious of her and the other Light Elves as well. Why would someone who had done nothing wrong hide? It made her look as if she had attacked Uldric instead of her having to defend herself. Judith brought a hand to her hair and she played with it, she wished that she had a brush with her. She couldn't find one when she had gone to bathe. "I'm not a child anymore," she said still smiling at him. Her eyes wandered over his body, why be subtle? She did find Rhyldrin rather attractive. "I'm not as innocent as I use to be if that's hard to believe." she laughed, she wondered how odd it was for Rhyldrin to see his child hood friend like this, all grown up. It was quite odd for her to see him like that. "Though I guess that that's not really hard to see with the way that I'm acting." she mumbled quietly to herself. "I would actually consider staying," she said bringing the subject back to life. "I wouldn't mind it at all, but I get the feeling that you could only take so much of me before I drove you insane." Judith didn't really say what would drive him insane. Either it be her constant flirtatious teasing or her constant need to talk. "You're cute, so I could tolerate your temper." Judith's eyes met his and she almost felt giddy. |
"Eh.. probably, not like I don't have a mountain of problems right? I already have the flattering titles that float among the crowds." Though he'd never have it any other way in truth.. it made people leave him alone and that's how he wanted it. Though he never told her that it was because he was known to kill both sides. it was just a matter of who crossed him.
He'd never ask her to stay not just out of the blue like that.. it wasn't a fair thing to ask and she had a point her brother was a huge issue. Rhyldrin wasn't sure even how that fight would end. He guessed the rumors of his skills with a blade were not just mere rumors for him to be a commander of one of the light elf units.. let alone one that large. Though the problem could be solved if he killed her brother.. though that returned his mind back to the fact he wasn't sure of the fights out come. Though she had mentioned a name as well in her sentence it made him curious. She brought it up not him. "I'm guess that this Uldric is why you have a bruise on your face and your wrists are marked up?" He had seen his fair share of bruises and he could tell the wrist ones were from her struggling against someone .. the face he was going to guess was the same person but she had done something to piss him off. "You don't have to answer but I already knew the story behind them without you saying anything" He said closing his eyes for a moment, he oddly seemed to have a hidden reason for wanting to know if that was the man's name who did leave marks on her.. though it wasn't because he thought of her as his or anything but he couldn't stand the idea of someone having the chance to kill her in the process of trying to do something she didn't want. But that was more of going back to all the years he had protected her and gotten her out of trouble or saved her from whatever was after her.. But for the very reason she needed to get back to the camp .. her brother alone could be a force to deal with.. he wasn't about to give the blood thirsty commander a reason to sweep the dark elf area and kill most if not all of the paroling units. He was a little less worried from what she said seeing as whatever happened between her and this Uldric.. she seemed to get the better of him. Though that didn't mean he wouldn't still be having a urge to track this light elf down.. but then again he'd probably end up doing that anyway if he was planning to eventually go after Brishen.. "I think I've noticed your not.. " he laughed slightly, it was hard to not notice.. he would have never have guessed this was the same girl he was always dragging out of trouble as a child. He noticed her eyes wandering, he was debating getting his shirt now before she got too caught up in her 'looking'. But for the moment he didn't move as she continued to talk. he laughed slightly hearing her mumble "It's.. not something I was expecting to see to tell you the truth, I had long given up seeing that little red haired girl that was always getting in trouble ever again... that's been over ten years ago it's only natural that you'd change I'm sure we've both changed quite a bit from then even if we don't let onto the changes." He wasn't really sure what to say to her. He looked at her a little oddly when she brought back the idea of staying here, he had been joking but apparently she missed the fact it was a joke. "I think i'd make due.. you didn't drive me insane as a child.. I" He didn't finish what he was going to say that he rather enjoyed her company as a kid.. she was the only person that had gotten him to open up a bit or even bother talking.. She was still the only one to ever get him to reconsider a action before he executed it. Though all of the thoughts were gone after she said the word 'cute'. He was going to glare at her but her eyes seemed locked on his, it was almost unnerving to him with the gaze she had. "It doesn't commonly get as bad as last night." what the hell was he saying he was almost encouraging this unwillingly with a causal conversation. 'stop getting lost in yourself' he was trying to talk himself out of this little trance he seemed to be in with just going with the conversion. |
Judith fell silent for a moment wondering if she could bring herself to tell him what had happened. It wasn't that bad, Uldric had not done anything to her other than leaving some bruises on her body. She had done far worse to him anyways, Rhyldrin would probably find it some how funny. "Yes," she answered his question finally and smiled weakly at him. "I have had problems with him before and he tends to bother women." she chewed on her lower lip then spoke again. "You don't have to get involved or worry about me. I can take care of myself, he didn't get far before I gained control of the situation. I probably could have done worse to him if I really wanted to..." Rhyldrin would probably find it odd that Judith actually wished to harm someone for once. She didn't mention that Uldric probably intended to rape her. Judith thought that it would only drive Rhyldrin to want to protect her even more, though that would be an odd thing considering how he had threatened to do the same thing just the other day. She laughed as she remembered being a child. "I always worried my parents because I never listened. They didn't want me to go to the forest but I did anyways and once.." she went a little quiet, Judith brought a hand to her face and she pushed her hair away from it. "Another child had seen me with you and he told my parents. Though no one knew that we met all the time, after that I was very careful and made sure that no one followed me out of the capital." Her eyes looked at him curiously, wondering what he had stopped himself from saying. Though if he didn't want to say it then he didn't have to. "Is there anything that I can do?" she asked then smiled. Judith brought herself close to Rhyldrin, if she really wanted to she could kiss him. She wondered how he would react to such a thing, his reaction would probably make her laugh or maybe not. She brought a hand up to his face and brushed his hair from it. "You should keep your hair away from your face," she purred. "You have beautiful eyes and I would like to see them more often." she laughed then brought her hand away. "Though I probably won't for a while after this, will I? When do you plan to bring me home?" Judith was right when she thought that her sudden disappearance would ho unnoticed. After her little incident with Uldric how could she be easily forgotten anyways? Uldric made sure to bother Brishen about it, he probably would until Brishen found his sister and questioned her. "If she doesn't return by tomorrow then we will go looking for her," he sighed a little annoyed by this. "Stop bothering me about it, maybe you think that I'm a fool, Uldric. I know that my sister wouldn't do harm to anyone who didn't deserve it. I don't even know why she was sent out here, she doesn't belong in the war." he was rather pissed with the fact that she had been sent here. Uldric kept to himself, he remained quiet as Brishen spoke. He could bother Brishen more but he knew that pushing the man any farther was asking for trouble. "Anyways," Brishen cleared his throat. "I have more important matters to attend to, there are some Dark Elves causing a fuss in the forest. They need to be taken care of and I expect you to be out there helping." |
"I wasn't planning to get involved" He had enough issues with light elves without going out and purposely looking for one. Though if he was planning to seek out the commander of that group then he was sure he'd cross into this guy she spoke of at some point or another. Though from the sounds of it.. unless she killed him first. "I almost feel sorry for the guy now, I don't think I've ever known you to want to hurt someone." He did find it funny, though he was joking about feeling sorry for the bastard. Though she hardly had to tell him what the man's intentions where.. he knew what he had tried to do to her.. sure it would be odd if Rhyldrin said he'd watch out for her and that was crossing the line seeing as this guy sounded like a push over if he had to pick on women. Though it did make Rhyldrin feel a little guilty seeing as a few days ago he threatened to do the same thing to her.. even if he wouldn't have really done it.
He fell silent when she started talking about their childhood again, why couldn't things be that simple anymore? He didn't really seem to have a comment for her probably getting in trouble at least a few times due to them meeting up. Really he had been caught a few times the days that he didn't show up were probably the same ones that he was getting some form of punishment for going so close to the edge of the forest. He almost grew to hate his childhood the more he thought on it. Not really the time spent with her but more of the fact he didn't really have any other fond memories aside from when he could escape from this very area. "hrm? that you can do? That's a odd thing to ask" he said to answer her, it was a little out of the blue like that. Though he didn't get anything else out as she moved and moved his hair to the side. He made a face at her comment before speaking "tsk you wouldn't know who i was if I bothered getting it cut." Truth was he was almost never in one place too long even in the forest so he never thought much on his hair. "besides what if I like it this way" he said before moving his hand and flicking the bit she had moved back in place. Though he wasn't lying she probably wouldn't know him or recognize him if he got a hair cut.. aside from the scar. "No you won't.. so it doesn't matter now does it. As far as taking you back.. that's as soon as possible." He didn't tell her that he had no intention of seeing her ever again even if he enjoyed her company still.. he didn't want to risk getting her in trouble if the game she seemed to enjoy dragging on went too far. "We can leave now seeing as your awake." He could force himself to go back to how things were before he ran back into Judith, that's how they were meant to be. It's not like he was in love with her or anything sure he cared or had a slight bit of worry for her well being but what did it matter she said herself she could take care of herself. He'd go find a different military group under the Queen's command to get requests from, sure it'd be putting himself in the position to run into Judith again but he doubted she'd ever be a target of any of the groups. Though he could always be wrong on that she was a expert with the bow after all.. |
Judith threw her shoulders back in a shrug. "We could leave now," she said then smiled at Rhyldrin. She brought her hand to her stomach and gently massaged around her wound. It had started to throb again. "You really don't have to keep me around for much longer if you don't want to." Judith let out a quiet sigh. She really didn't look forward to going back to the camp. Hopefully it wouldn't take too much of her time to explain to Brishen what had really happened. Brishen had known Uldric since they were children, he had grown up with him. He knew how Uldric treated woman without hesitation and he wouldn't think that Judith would do anything unless it was necessary. As for the wound she could explain that she ran into a Dark Elf. She wouldn't have to deal with her brother after explaining herself there was Uldric who had told her that things were not over yet. She would have to be cautious from now on when she was alone. Judith wondered if she would ever be able to sleep peacefully again. She stood from the couch and looked down at Rhyldrin. "Unless you rather go later, I'm alright with leaving now. Though maybe you want to enjoy my company a bit more?" she teased then smiled at him. "How often is it that you run into an old friend?" she asked though she didn't expect an answer. Judith crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes remained on Rhyldrin. She really was tempted to do something, more than she had ever been with any other man. It was an odd urge an almost overwhelming. Though she held herself back. |
He sighed a little closing his eyes, probably a dangerous thing to do with how she had been acting recently but still. "I never said I minded your company now did I?" He questioned her as to why she had said he didn't need to keep her around any longer if he didn't want. "If it was that much of a bother to me do you honestly think I would have carried you all the way? Or would you have rather me left you were you were bleeding and you could crawl back to the camp." He shrugged a little sure the last part was a bit harsh but he had a point.
Sure she could have probably made it back to camp on her own.. but this way he knew for sure she got the attention she needed for the wound. He blamed his parents as to why he gave a damn.. something he couldn't stand was to see someone hurt not when he could do something about it. Though in the case of most light elves that was finishing them off. "as I said before I don't mind your company, but do as you like it's your choice if we leave now. I'm ready to leave at any time" She had a point it wasn't often you got a chance to run into a childhood friend or at least not in this case. But at the same time her sticking around was going to lead to trouble.. she still seemed to be taunting him as if she wanted him to try and do something. Doing anything to her was what he was trying to prevent and he figured the sooner she was back to her camp the sooner he could forget her again. Not that he really wanted to but he could already see where his mind was going to start wandering.. and they were things that couldn't happen not between the two of them. He half cursed fate for being against him for all of this. If there wasn't a blood war between the two elf races then maybe he wouldn't be as stubborn and set in his ways. But for now he was sticking to keeping such thoughts out of his mind no matter how she taunted and teased. |
"You're mean," she whined, Judith kept her eyes on him. "I know that you would have not allowed such a thing to happen," she brought herself back to the couch and sat down beside him again. "You have always been a good person, Rhyldrin. Maybe it's hard for others to see that or even for yourself to see that sometimes, but I can see it." her lips curled upwards into a smile. "I know that you could be far more mean with me than you are being right now but you're not. Why is that?" she teased, a laugh escaped from her lips and she leaned close to him. "And why are you trying to be distant? Are you afraid to get close to me?" Judith tapped her fingers against the surface of the couch. "Yesterday you were teasing me so much but now... now it seems as if you're scared that something is going to happen. Why is that?" she kept herself close to him, she was interested in what he had to say. Though after a few seconds she brought herself away from him. She sat back against the couch and allowed her body to sink into it. "You can take me back whenever you get fed up of me, though I don't think that you could possibly get fed up of me when you enjoy my company." she said then smiled at him. "I can't lie, I enjoy your company as well, I don't even remember the last time that I had felt even a little bit happy." |
"heh.. your right I wouldn't. Even if I had left you there yesterday I probably wouldn't have gone far." He laughed slightly it was almost funny that most thought of him as a killer, and truth was that's what he had forced himself to become to survive over the years. But Judith still wanted to say he was a good person? "You want to call me a good person when I want nothing more then to kill your own kin, your brother even?" He shook his head a little "You can't really say that you know better, I might be kind to you but if you ask anyone here you'd be the only person I've shown any form of mercy to." He wasn't meaning to be harsh with her but it was the truth, her brother would die some day to his blades, so long as he drew breath he was going to get revenge on the bastard. He had encountered her brother more then a few times in his youth.. he had scores that needed to be settled.
He sighed slightly listening to her questioning him, what was he suppose to tell her. "I was trying to make up for the other day, hell I almost killed you without a second thought let alone what I said to you" He laughed though it was weak sounding "I wouldn't have done shit to you aside from probably killing you on the spot and I would have never known it was you, maybe years down the road i would have put two and two together but aside from that it would have been done." Though it was odd for him to not finish a light elf off whatever force made him think twice on his blade he should thank.. because he would have killed her he had killed female light elves before it wasn't any different then killing the males not to him anyway. "Well yesterday I never planned to run into you again, what harm was there in playing such a game when I had all intention to avoid seeing you again." He took on a slightly sharper tone when he spoke, like he was agitated but it didn't seem to be at her. "But to answer you yes I'm afraid of getting close to you, i have my reasons why" He knew very well she could push whatever button she wanted and he'd end up losing the game they had been toying with back and forth, and that needed to NOT happen or that's what he had kept in his head. He was about to tell say something else but she started speaking again, he had moved a hand to rub his forehead a little by now, brushing the hair out of the way. All of this gave him a headache, he was risking his life just having her here let alone her teases that seemed to have no end to them. Her body language alone was giving mixed signals. Though after she finished speaking he looked at her oddly "you make it sound like I'm suppose to keep you here, I think you know better then that.. I sure as hell do" Sure he'd hardly care if she stayed.. but there was the dragon though it could probably find it's own way out of the light elf camp and track Judith or himself down. Plus on top of that her brother was the commander of the unit stationed closest to the dark elf capital.. it was hardly a option to keep her here, let alone if the Queen or her daughters ever found out his neck would be up for the chopping block faster then you could blink. He sighed again slightly as she said her last sentence, that wasn't making things any easier on him. What was he suppose to say to that it sounded like he half wanted to stay, but why? "heh...why do you torment me so" He smirked weakly before leaning his head back against the sofa and closing his eyes again. 'stop letting your emotions get in the way, take her back and be done with it never cross paths with her again' |
Judith chewed on her lower lip nervously. She was silent after he said that he wanted to kill her own kind and her own brother. She didn't really know how to feel about that and she didn't know what to say. "I understand your need for revenge," she said softly. "But don't allow it to blind you, Rhyldrin." her mind felt as if it was all over the place. "If you want nothing more than to kill my kind then why didn't you kill me? Why not kill me now?" she asked, Judith's eyes met his and she didn't look away. "You have some good in you, everyone does but you just refuse to see that." she almost whispered her last sentence, she seemed upset. "At first you were just another Dark Elf," she said and let out a sigh. "I would have killed you without hesitation to be honest, you brought a blade to my neck and I saw you as a threat. When I had shot my arrow at you I had intended for it to be a fatal shot or at least to knock you down. If you were still alive I would have just shot again or if you were on the ground I would have used my dagger. Either way, when I saw you I wanted you dead." she looked away from him, she seemed a little uncomfortable. "Maybe the Goddesses didn't want you to end my life and didn't want me to end your life. Who knows? I was actually surprised when you decided to take your blade away from my neck. I thought that you were tricking me, I was ready to protect myself if you went back on your word." she brought her eyes back to him and smiled weakly. "It's funny, some how when you told me that you wouldn't harm me if I didn't harm you, I felt as if I could trust you. Like I could trust someone that I had known for quite some time. That's why I dropped my weapon and agreed not to do you any harm." Judith wondered what she could possibly say to him, he was afraid of getting close to her. She found that sad in a way. "It seems as if you're afraid to get close to anyone." her smile disappeared, she seemed serious now. "You live alone, you don't come home for months... you don't like to speak to your own kind, even if you can't trust them you don't even seem interested in the ones who care about you. Don't you ever feel lonely?" "I know that I can't stay here, I know that it would cause you more problems than you really need and it would also cause me problems. I know that that can never happen, don't worry about it too much." she paused allowing herself to breath. "I'm not going to try to convince you to let me stay, it just can't happen and that's that." she laughed quietly then smiled at Rhyldrin finally. "I'm sorry that I'm tormenting you, I'll stop if you don't like the teasing." |
"If I were blind by it then i would have taken my chance when I had it to strike him down. Before I ran across you I saw him but I wasn't foolish enough to test how much strength I had left." He frowned a little what the hell was he saying he was talking about killing her own sibling, but .. there wasn't any other way he was the cause of this area being attacked he was a threat to this whole area along with any of the other commanders. If he thought that they could be talked out of it he would have tried by now but that seemed as likely as getting a audience with the Light elf king himself.
He laughed slightly as she went back to her talk of having some good. "Probably stupidity as to why I didn't kill you when I first crossed you. Though you amused me and I hadn't had someone put me into a corner for a long while. I guess that's why I let you live. As far as killing you now.. you know very well I couldn't bring myself to do that." He looked away from her, he hated even saying such words. It was a weakness to say he couldn't harm someone she was probably right but so what one grain of good in him wasn't going to make him change his mind on killing her kind.. not when they tried on a daily basis to kill him. Smirking a bit as she spoke it was a bit funny thinking back on it a few days ago they were at each other blades ready to draw blood if the other made so much as a inch of movement. "Guess I still have the devils luck then. Though that was the closest I've come to dying in a while that's for sure.. heh" He knew very well if she had pushed her dagger in where she had it he wouldn't have lasted too long or at least not long enough to get supplies he'd need to fix it.. and then there was the chance she could have hit any number of organs that would have made the wound fatal. "Well I guess we're not so different then are we. But this is a war.. that's how your suppose to see your enemy." He shrugged a little before going on "I keep my word, if I can help it anyway.. Even if it has to be to a enemy. At that time i'd rather keep breathing then take a life, I would have said whatever you wanted me to say to prevent that blade from striking." It was a bit eerry he still could feel it in the spot she had pressed it against, it was probably his closest dance with death yet and it was from her. Whatever the cause that made them not kill one another he was thankful really, he wouldn't have been able to live it down if he found out later he killed the one person he had called a friend as a child. "I wouldn't trust myself saying that crap.. but you had me in a bit of a bind there.. I really wasn't planning to do anything against my word. I was really thinking you had some back up plan that was going to make me regret dropping that blade myself" He smiled weakly at her it wasn't something he was proud of that he had to admit defeat to someone, well in this case it was more of a draw. His ears went back as she spoke she didn't know but she was about to learn something, the very something that Neimi nearly said to her. "i have a right to not want to be close to anyone" He snapped at her suddenly. "You've always had someone around at least one person to care about you. Even back then when we were kids I had already lost everything I could possibly say I held dear to me." He stopped after his little outburst and his ears dropped further as he looked away from her. "I've been alone for most of my life I think I'm use to it by now, it's not as hard to accept being alone as you'd think. Not if you don't remember what it was like to have someone anyway." Sure it sounded a little depressing but it was the truth, his parents were killed by the last Light elf king. He never trusted any of his kind cause they hardly helped him as a child he had no fond memories it was almost amazing that he was even nice to Judith as a child. "sorry.." he finally said knowing he had been a bit harsh with her just now and she didn't really do anything wrong aside from questioning him. He didn't say anything to her for a little bit. He didn't think he had the right to speak to her just yet. Though at least she knew, though he wished it wasn't something that couldn't happen. If the peace talks all those years ago had worked.. where would the two races be now? He needed to stop thinking about that cause peace wasn't something that was ever going to happen it seemed. "you don't have to be sorry. I... I just don't know how to take it is all, I don't keep company so I don't have to deal with such things." He laughed slightly though it was rather weak sounding before he went on. "it's not right to torment someone and taunt them on knowing they won't do anything.. unless you were just trying to see if i'd give in." He half thought she might have been toying with him maybe a plot to kill him or have a excuse to.. no that's not it. |
Judith couldn't help but flinch when Rhyldrin snapped at her, she had not expected it but perhaps she did deserve it. She had been teasing him and had certainly said something to upset him. "You're right, Rhyldrin." she finally gathered the strength to speak again. "I have always had someone there for me, even if they weren't the best. There was always someone there." she held back the urge to say that the only person who really did seem to care about her was Rhyldrin himself. Her parents always seemed disappointed with her behaviour, the only thing they were proud of was her ability with the bow. The acted as if they had done it themselves, but really they had nothing to do with her skill. Judith had started to train on her own, she was the one who woke up early and trained, she was the one who trained until her body was too sore to continue. Not them. They always praised Brishen but what about her? It seemed as if she never mattered really. Fuck it, she would let him know. "Though to be honest, the only person who I ever really felt was there for me was you. That may be odd for me to say but when you have parents like mine it's easy to see how I would think that." she smiled weakly at him. "They were always scolding me, I know that I misbehaved and made them angry sometimes but... It felt as if they were never happy with me. They bragged about my ability with the bow but that was it, after a while they didn't even seen to care when I told them I had perfected something. They just told me that it was wonderful or congratulated me, but they didn't even make an effort to seem like they cared." she seemed bitter thinking about it, she missed her home but if she were to return she would probably not want to live with her parents or even want to really speak to them. "They always praised Brishen," she spat, her ears dropped. "He was perfect to them, I think that they were upset that I was.... more open minded. I didn't have the same opinions as them. They thought that I was naive and always told me that I was too young to understand anything, to see how things really were." she looked at Rhyldrin, she felt as if she could open up to him. "Fuck..." she mumbled quietly to herself. She almost felt as if she could say she hated her parents. "Don't apologize," she said quietly then closed her eyes. Judith breathed out a sigh. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be asking so many questions. I should know better, some people just prefer to be alone. I just couldn't be alone for the rest of my life, that's just me." she opened her eyes and looked at him. "I'm sorry." she smiled a bit at his comment about how she was tormenting and teasing him. "I wouldn't mind," she mumbled quietly though she wanted him to hear what she was going to say. "If you did anything, I wouldn't mind at all." she said it louder this time. |
He listened to her, she pretty much said she hated her parents even without saying it. Though if they only praised her brother he could see why she'd hate them. Though they seemed like most light elves to him.. simple minded though his kind was the same in that fact. "You remember when we first met? I had that cut and it was still bleeding.. heh I had every intention that I was to draw my last breath that day but I was going to take out as many light elves as I could muster.." He didn't look at her while he spoke he didn't want to he never bothered to really sit down and tell anyone what he was going to tell her. "I had just found out earlier that day that both of my parents were dead.. it was during the time of the peace talks. The only thing I was really told was that they were killed execution style in the middle of the Light elf capital. The orders came from the King himself at the time."
He seemed to stop for a moment trying to figure out what to really say. "What was I suppose to do everything that I had was gone, I had been practicing day and night to follow my father in his trade and after that day I wasn't allowed to do the very thing I wanted or still held onto." He sighed after a moment and leaned back against the couch closing his eyes again. "You want to know why I don't get close to anyone.. that's why. No one bothered to speak my name even until they found out I was handy with a blade. Rather funny really, it's the opposite of what I was planning to do with my life." He smirked a bit, why was he telling her this it didn't matter it wasn't really a excuse he could have been stronger and put a foot down and stood up for what he wanted.. though as a child that was hard to do. After she spoke again he looked at her, it wasn't what he was expecting to hear. Really he didn't think he had done that much for her.. sure as a kid he helped her out on a almost daily basis but that's cause he had nothing better to do. Though either way he listened to her talk about[her parents and that they never seemed happy with her. "You can't really blame them.. this war has been in the making for years" He wasn't going to say it was probably his fault it really sparked.. with killing the last king he thought that might be a bit too much for her. "most don't give it a chance or rather don't get the chance to talk with the other side let alone get a different opinion formed about them. I know I got a few scars from going out to the edge of the dark elf control area to see you, so it's not that hard to believe that your parents would act like that." He smiled at her, he hadn't told her when they were kids that a few times he was caught.. his kind was a little more violent then most light elves that was certain. He waved off her sorry. his slight temper seemed to be under control once again. It had only flared because she was prying onto a topic he didn't like going into details about. "Your allowed to question, I've said it before one of us has to talk might as well be you" He went back to resting his head back and closing his eyes thinking on what to say for a moment. "It's not that I want to be alone.. I just don't want people getting close I never learned how to trust someone to get that close. Let alone on a daily basis I'm out on some mission or another with the chance that my life will end that day. How could I ask anyone to deal with that, they'd never know if I was dead or alive." He smirked a little it was odd for him to talk this much, he hated that she could get him to talk he was so use to saying little to nothing aside form yelling at the damned dragon. Though he was brought back out of his thoughts when she spoke again. He thought she just said she wouldn't mind, but he didn't move or make notice that he heard it the first time. Though after a moment she repeated herself. When she did he opened his eyes and looked at her almost as if he was tying to see if she was telling the truth or not. Though her face said she wasn't lying, had she really just said that so openly. He didn't have anything to say to that, it surely caught him off guard. What the hell was he suppose to say to that, though he quickly recovered himself as he looked away from her. "don't say things like that.." he didn't finish his sentence that she wasn't helping temptations by saying something like that, all these years he had lived alone and avoided coming home and she was making him question all of it in just a few days time. Let alone it wasn't helping the fact that even if he did do anything to her .. what then that's all that would happen, it's all that could happen. |
Judith fell silent, she couldn't imagine the pain of losing someone that she loved. If Rhyldrin really wanted to stop her constant chatter than he had said the right thing, it felt like it had been forever before she could bring herself to speak again. "Rhyldrin..." her voice was quiet and soft, she could tell that he was uncomfortable with speaking about it from his body language. "I don't know what to say, I didn't know." she added then chewed nervously on her lower lip. Knowing this, it made sense why he was so mean to her when she had tried to help him. His parents had been killed by Light Elves, why would he want to accept help from one? Her stomach felt knotted and for a moment she almost allowed her emotions to get the better of her. It really bothered her that the king at the time had done such a horrible thing. Then again he had not been the best king, he was a horrible man and it didn't make sense that the Light Elves allowed him to rule over them at the time. Perhaps that is why she wasn't as upset as the other Light Elves when he was found slaughtered. She was only upset when the war was declared between the Dark and Light Elves. Judith brought herself close to him, she rested her head on his shoulder and brought a hand to his stomach resting it there. She hoped that he didn't mind her doing such a thing, though he probably wouldn't at all. She closed her eyes and remained silent for a bit. Her eyes remained closed even when she began to speak again. "I understand, you don't have to explain yourself." she mumbled quietly. "I'm sorry if I upset you, Rhyldrin. It was never my intention." |
He didn't seem that bothered by her not saying anything she didn't need to he wasn't still getting over the loss of his family, hell he hardly remembered them being at such a age."You don't have to say anything, it's the past. It's just why I am like this now. Sure that's a poor excuse but I don't want to drag anyone into my life not when I live this way." It was more of the fact he didn't want to hurt anyone not if he cared enough about them to allow them to get close to him let alone learn about his past, if he was killed while out on a mission he didn't want anyone there to morn his death.
He looked at her a little oddly after she seemed to make herself comfortable while leaning against him. It wasn't that he minded he just wasn't really sure what to do, he had a urge to pull away from her but for the moment he fought against it. Though after she spoke he shook his head a little with a slight smile. "I'm not upset so you've nothing to say sorry for." It was odd, really he didn't want to take her back.. not now after she said she didn't care if he did anything to her let alone she seemed to want to be with him for some reason.. Though he couldn't just keep her here either. Really he needed to take her back now before he got too roped up into this.. But at the same time he didn't want to move and disrupt her. He was letting his thoughts get the better of him again, or at least that's what he was telling himself. He had just finished telling her that he wanted to be alone.. well rather he was going to force himself to be alone. After a few moments he bit back a little of his restraints he had been holding onto and placed his hand over hers. He felt like he shouldn't be enjoying this yet he was, it was odd to just enjoy sitting with someone. But he'd never let her know that he was thinking that and he knew very well that it wasn't going to happen again not after he took her back. |
Judith felt surprised when Rhyldrin brought his hand over hers, though she kept her hand on his stomach allowing him to do so. Besides he had not protested her resting against him comfortably or placing her hand on his stomach. Though only moments ago he was being so distant and telling her that he could never bring himself to be close to anyone anymore. It was odd for her to feel as if she shouldn't speak. For once her mind had stopped, she felt relaxed for the first time in what seemed to be forever. It was nice to share a quiet, happy moment with someone else. She let out a happy sigh and finally opened her eyes. Judith raised her head a little and looked up at Rhyldrin. He really was quite bigger than her, she felt incredibly small laying against him. Rhyldrin was about a foot and a half or two feet taller than Judith and much more built that she was. Even his hands were much bigger than hers, though she wouldn't make any dirty comments about that. She had teased the poor man enough over the past two days. Her eyes lingered on him wondering what he could possibly be thinking about. "Rhyldrin?" she purred and lifted his head from his shoulder. She kept her eyes on him and smiled. "I'm sorry if my teasing bothered you, but I can't help it." she laughed quietly. Judith moved up a little bit bringing her face to his, she had to sit up a bit more because he was much bigger than her. She pressed her forehead against his, it almost seemed as if she was going to kiss him. "I'll try not to do it as much but I can't make any promises." |
It was a little odd she seemed to fall into a state of silence. Not that it was a bad thing, he was half temped to ask what she was thinking about but decided against it.. that was just asking for her to say something then. Sure he told her he didn't want to let anyone get close or vise verse ... but he didn't want to force her away not when he was going to take her back and avoid seeing her further.
Really he never noticed how small she was till he put his hand over hers. Sure he was commonly a good few inches taller then most of the light elves he fought against but she was at least a foot shorter then him and her frame was tiny all the same. Though in his thought process he moved his hand and looked away from her, even though he didn't want to he'd have to bring it up soon that they needed to leave. He looked at her again when she moved her head and spoke his name catching his attention again. He seemed to question why she said his name though it was answered before he could ask. Though her answer wasn't something he would have expected. "can't help it huh.. " He laughed slightly shaking his head "You don't have to keep saying sorry, you'll know when something bothers me. Just because i get irritated doesn't mean im that bothered.. " He sighed a little "quick temper and all tsk.. " He wasn't going to say anything else but she moved again and this time she rested her forehead against his. Even if he didn't want to admit it he knew his cheeks were flushed by this, though it was probably hard to tell thankfully to his skin color. It wasn't that he was thinking that she was planning to do anything, just her being close like this was making him uneasy. He tried to keep his eyes from meeting hers, knowing he could get caught in staring at her soft gaze. "You don't really have to stop, not if you don't want to" He wanted to bite his own tongue that he just gave her permission to go about tormenting him. Though then again what was it going to really hurt, he needed to just man up and admit he didn't mind her teasing he was just over thinking it all. Besides that she seemed to almost want him to do something with how much she had edging him on the past few days and with her other comment that she wouldn't mind.. |
Judith couldn't help but smile, she noticed that Rhyldrin was avoiding looking into her eyes. "Huh?" she mumbled pretending that she had not heard what he had told her. She kept her hand on his stomach and her forehead pressed against his. "Did I hear you right or..." she watched him curiously wondering if he had meant what he said. Hell, if any man had said that she wouldn't have to question it. What did she expect? She had been teasing him for the past two days, there was only so much someone could take before finally giving in. She lifted herself bringing herself to sit on his lap, she ran her hands from his stomach to his shoulders and rested them on him. "Hopefully I heard you right," she whispered to him. "Unless I have started to hear what I want to hear..." she purred. Judith felt a sudden overwhelming urge growing inside of her. She really did want to kiss Rhyldrin even if it didn't mean anything to him or even her. For now anyways... Judith closed her eyes and pressed her lips against his cheek, then the corner of his lips. She brought a hand to the back of his head and played with his hair. |
He rolled his eyes a little at her playing like she didn't hear him. "I don't believe I stuttered, did i?" Was his simple answer to her though he stopped trying to avoid her eyes by this point. Was he suppose to keep resisting? Well yes he probably should but why should he, both sides seemed to want whatever that was to come of this. Though he did have half a mind to stop her from going too far, plus they did need to get going he wasn't about to test how long it;d take for her brother to send half of his troops at his command out to search for the missing Judith... Not yet anyway a later date maybe.
He smirked a little at her before speaking "We'll just assume you heard right.. if not it was close enough" What was it about her that made him want to give in.. he'd had other women try to get close even just talking to him and he'd blow them off without a second thought.. what was it about her that made it different. It was driving him mad that he couldn't resist her like he had in the past, she really was a weakness to him it seemed. He was half expecting her to pull back at any time and that she was just teasing again. Sure that'd annoy him but he wouldn't force her still.. Though he was letting himself go a little, she seemed to want something from him and he wasn't in the state of mind to stop her from anything. He moved a hand to her face brushing back a few stray strands of hair back behind her ear lightly before moving his hand under her chin and lightly getting her to tilt her head before he kissed her lips. Teasing or not he was at least getting that far, he had made up his mind that much. |
Judith's eyes fluttered open when she felt Rhyldrin brushing hair away from her face. For a moment her cheeks became red and her face felt hot. His touch was so gentle, she almost felt dazed. When he tilted her head and brought his lips to hers she closed her eyes again. Judith didn't pull away right away, she enjoyed the feeling of their lips together though she did have to breath. She pulled away slowly, it felt as if goosebumps were all over her body. Her mind was all over the place, she didn't know how to feel but she felt good. She kept her hand on the back of his head then brought the other to the side of his face. Judith ran her thumb over his cheek gently. Judith kept her face close to his, she really didn't want to pull herself away from him. She pressed her lips against his, at first it was a soft kiss but then she kissed him hard. She kept him close to her, pressing her hand that she held on the back of his head against his head. Judith's heart pounded in her chest, she could hear it. When she finally pulled away she breathed out heavily, she almost seemed timid after her outburst. She didn't know what had came over her. All she really wanted was his body against hers, though she knew that it couldn't go that far. She had a feeling that Rhyldrin wouldn't allow such a thing to happen. She breathed out heavily for few seconds, then she finally caught her breath. Judith opened her eyes and looked at Rhyldrin, she couldn't stop herself from smiling. Though she knew that they couldn't stay like this forever, soon he would say that they had to go and she would have to push herself away from him. She ran the hand that she had held on the side of his face down his arm and placed her hand on his own. She didn't really know what to say to him, though she finally spoke. "That felt right..." she whispered quietly. "I liked that." she purred. |
Considering he had no experience with this sort of interaction he seemed to be a natural at it. Though even with that being said he still had control over himself for the time being even if he really just wanted to see how far this would go. Rhyldrin knew better then to test Judith to see if she'd let this go all the way... he knew she would. But he wasn't going to allow that not knowing he was never planning to seek her out again, really he shouldn't have even allowed this much to happen.
Judith seemed to change a little after getting another kiss in, her breathing had quickened though she seemed to draw back a little as if she grew timid. It was probably for the best really it would save him from having to push her away if she pulled herself away. Though the temptation was there to let this continue.. it didn't feel right to go that far. He smirked a little after she spoke though he never moved his hand away from hers. "Least I wasn't the only one that did heh.." Though he really shouldn't have done it she didn't seem to mind and he knew he didn't.. But this had to come to a end soon they needed to get her back to her own and he needed to get back to his own ways and trying to forget about her knowing this little moment of bliss was never to happen again. His expression changed a little the more he thought about it, but it needed to be done she couldn't stay here. He sighed a little before speaking once again "We should probably go... before you make me think about keeping you here" He smiled at her a little though he was hiding what he was really thinking. Though hiding his emotions was a skill he had picked up over the years so it wasn't that difficult to act like he wasn't bothered at all by the fact that he wasn't going to see her again if he had any say in it. |
( I'm going to time skip to when he's bringing her back, not too sure what time to make it but I'll make it like the evening, getting dark. c: ) She didn't mind if they went farther than kissing, though she knew it wouldn't be smart for them to do anything more than kiss. Judith let out a quiet sigh, Rhyldrin was right they had to go before they got carried away in this moment. She had almost forgotten that she was going to be leaving soon maybe even now after she moved from him. She was tempted to kiss him again but she fought that urge and brought her hands away from him. "That's too bad," she teased knowing that he probably had thought about it going further as well. Judith lifted herself from him even if she really didn't want to. "We should probably leave now," she watched Rhyldrin with a smile on her face. "I'm afraid that if I stay any longer then I may lose control of myself around you." though what she had said may seem like it was a joke she was rather serious. She had never felt this way around another man. Judith couldn't say that it was love, it was more of an overpowering lust. Though then again... she really didn't know anymore. ------ It was hard getting her out of the Dark Elf camp though with night time just around the corner more Dark Elves were out and about than earlier in the morning. It made it just a bit easier to slip her out, but they still had to be weary of the Dark Elves who were still at the camp. Judith felt guilty for putting Rhyldrin through this, she could have always offered to leave by herself though she really didn't see that happening. Rhyldrin would probably object to the idea without a thought. Besides she knew nothing about the Dark Elf camp or the area that it was in, she would probably get lost and that wasn't a nice thought. Being lost in the enemy territory with a broken bow. Only having her dagger to protect herself when she wasn't good at close up conflict. When they finally reached the camp it had felt like it had taken forever to get there. Judith's feet were slightly sore, though she held herself back from complaining. She stood beside Rhyldrin and looked up at him smiling. "I suppose this is where I leave you, isn't it?" she laughed quietly then stepped forward passing him. Though she stopped and brought herself in front of him for a brief moment. "Thank you for everything." she said softly, Judith had to stand on her toes for a brief moment just to give Rhyldrin a quick kiss good bye. Though it wasn't as quick as she had wanted it to be she felt as if she had to pry her lips from his. Why did it just feel so right? Judith didn't say anything else to them, this wasn't the place to chat and maybe she shouldn't have even kissed him. She backed away from him with a smile still on her face then she turned and began walking towards the camp. It didn't take long for Judith to enter the camp and it didn't take much time for Brishen to spot her and greet her rudely. He questioned where she had been and where she had gotten the wound on her stomach. She assumed his next question, why was it patched up? Judith let out a sigh of annoyance, she really didn't want to deal with her brother. Her head was still clouded with thoughts of Rhyldrin. "I'm not going to lie," she said to him, Brishen watched her now expecting her to say something he had not expected. Though she didn't. "I left the camp after Uldric attacked me, I knew that he was going to be a baby and go running to you about what I had done to him. I knew that he was going to lie that I had attacked him, though I assume that you know me better than to attack someone without a reason." she paused to breath, surprisingly Brishen was still listening to her. He even nodded when she said that she wouldn't hurt anything without a reason. "That's how I came to get this wound, I ran into a Dark Elf who was just in the forest not too far from the camp. He attacked me, I had to... kill him. I thought that I was alright but then I discovered that I had been wounded." she chewed on her lower lip, everything that she was telling him was the truth but now she was going to lie. "The Dark Elf that I had killed, he had medical supplies on him. I'm not good at tending to wounds but I tried to do the same as I had seen the Elves in the medical tent do. I didn't return right away because I wanted to avoid Uldric." she looked at her brother wondering if he believed what she had just said. "There, all of your questions have been answered. Now, are you going to punish me for doing absolutely nothing wrong or are you going to punish that bastard finally?" she spat. Brishen sighed, knowing his sister she wouldn't change her story no matter how many times he asked her what had really happened. He did have a feeling that she had lied near the end, though he couldn't be certain and he had no proof that she had done anything else anyways. "I'll speak to him," he said, he brought his head from side to side and cracked it. "But you know what he will say, the same bullshit. If it makes you feel better I know that you wouldn't harm someone without a reason to. I'm not going to punish you for harming him, he deserved it." he threw his shoulders back in a shrug. Brishen turned from his sister, though he had one more thing to say. "You're a terrible liar, but I won't question you further" then he left her. Judith's stomach felt knotted and she wondered if he was trying to squeeze what had really happened out of her, but she wouldn't tell him. Besides Brishen had better things to do then play a guessing game with his sister, in a few weeks he planned to rid the near by forest of any potential threats. |
She wouldn't have been the only one to lose themselves if they kept going, he knew very well she made him weak. Really he hated feeling that he'd give in to someone let alone a light elf, he had gone all these years without a second thought on anything and she was making him question everything. What would it matter she was being taken back to her kind's location and that was that, he wasn't going to see her further after this day so why think on it too much.
Once they got to where they needed to be he didn't say much of anything. Though it wasn't because of her or what had happened it was more that he was on high alert even in the darker hours he wan't taking a chance out here. He nodded a little to her question but still never said a word, he wasn't going to tell her that he planned to never see her again it would be for the better. Really he wished she hadn't of kissed him, that made this a little harder on him then he ever expected. "Don't thank me, that's not how your suppose to treat your enemy.." he teased at her a little, though he was right she should be putting a show on just in case of anyone watching. He stayed where he was as she started walking away, really he wanted to go after her but knowing he couldn't he turned and started to head in a different direction. He knew where most of the major dark elf encampments were with generals leading them, he'd seek out another one and get into some work at least busy work to keep his mind from thinking. After a while he figured he'd forget about her again and that would be that. ~~~~~~~~~~ It took no time to find work, really he passed between three or four of the camps to ensure he was busy with some form of a task. Though even with that and daily fighting he couldn't stop thinking back on that day. Why did it feel like he was missing something now, what had really happened that day. It wouldn't matter even if he had missed something it was too late to regain it. She was probably long gone and he had avoided the area of that camp just to ensure he didn't cross her path. It was probably at least a month after he had left her there, there were rumors spreading among the light elf camps of a dark elf with a scar on his face though the scar part was commonly left out, and it was switched around as word got out that this one seemed to be the king killer. The very dark elf that ended up really sending this war into full force, even if his intention wasn't that. Rumors were that he had taken out at least three of the generals in such a short period of time, it was almost unbelievable. But facts were fats and each of the generals were killed in a similar manner, though it wasn't as brutal as some of the dark elves where they went about to display the corpse of the dead. These kills seemed to start off as one on one fights and it would seem the killer was testing his strength. The real name of the dark elf was never heard and no one really had a chance to see what he looked like aside from a few lower ranked foot soldiers.. he seemed to oddly leave them alone so long as they didn't do anything stupid or rash and try to attack him. He really was testing his skills and strength.. what other goals did he have really Brishen was still one of the top commanding light elves. Taking him out would be a major blow to them. He never thought twice if was Judith's brother, if it came to it he might have to face her again though he'd have to do something to make sure she didn't interfere... killing her was a option, but he couldn't do it. Maybe lady luck would continue to shine on him and he wouldn't have to deal with her. A light elf foot solider from the last camp raid ran past the guards to Brishen's camp and panted explaining he needed to speak to the commander, being escorted to him he fell to his knees and waited till he was told to speak by Brishen. "Another.. another camp has fallen s-sir.. " He gasped out trying to get air back into his lungs. it was the one neighboring this one not man miles from here.. with general Alton" He stayed on the ground being too weak to get up again from running the whole way in a panic state praying that he wasn't to be struck down before he got the message here. What the scout had told Brishen was true, it was the camp close by. He hardly felt the need to rush off he was told to take out one of the main generals.. but he needed to lure him out the camp Brishen was in was heavily guarded unlike most of the smaller camps. He'd need Brishen to come out of his hole. Sure it was asking for a death wish but at the same time he almost seemed to welcome death again, all he had done for the past month was kill. Anyone that stood in his way. He'd stick around this area for a few nights to see if it lured anyone here, Brishen or not they could still be killed to lower the number count for the light elves. |
Brishen was startled by the sudden visitor, really he had not been expecting anyone and had not planned anything to do for the day other then train his men. He listened to the man and his face became twisted with anger. He had been training his men to attack a recently discovered Dark Elf camp though that attack would not occur for another week. The soldier looked up at Brishen waiting for him to say something, he had become lost in his thoughts. Perhaps he would attack a little bit sooner than he had planned, with all of the camps fallen victim to Dark Elves recently he thought that getting back at them would put them in their place. Perhaps it would hold them back from attacking his own camp until he could continue training his men for a much bigger attack. "Uldric," he looked over his shoulder at the man. Uldric stood straight and smiled at Brishen as if he knew what Brishen was thinking. "I wish to go to the camp to see the damage, I want you and," he paused and looked over at another man to his right. "Kane to come with me, only you two. The rest of the men will remain here to strictly guard the camp. No one will be allowed out or in without my present." he let out a heavy sigh and looked down at the solider who had brought him the news. "You should rest, get yourself checked by the medical tent and eat. You have done enough for today." the soldier nodded he thanked Brishen, Brishen told another man to help the soldier walk. When they left he looked at Uldric and Kane. "I get a feeling that that damn Dark Elf is involved in this," he hissed then smiled. "Perhaps we can see if we can find him?" the other two smiled at the idea. "May I suggest something, Brishen?" Uldric asked, Brishen raised an eyebrow, he was curious to hear what he had to say. "Perhaps we should bring along your sister, she is good with the bow and can stay behind us a bit, she could pick off Dark Elves from afar." that was a good idea. Judith had just woken up from a nap, she rubbed her eyes attempting to wake herself up a bit more. Ever since her return she noticed that Uldric had been keeping his eyes on her more than ever, at times she was almost afraid to sleep thinking that he would attack her when she least expected it. She had begun to sleep with a knife under her pillow to protect herself if she as suddenly awoken by an unexpected visitor. She had wondered why she had not seen Rhyldrin for so long though after a while she stopped questioning it and assumed that maybe he had left the area for good. It probably was a good thing that they didn't see each other, it worried Judith that she could possibly fall for him even if she had not originally intended to. It was just her simply teasing him, it was just her kissing him.. no it was more than that. Judith let out a quiet sigh, she couldn't allow herself to think about Rhyldrin anymore. It would only make things worse, it would drive her insane. She was brought out of her thoughts when someone entered her tent, she was ready to snap thinking that it was Uldric but when she looked up it was her brother. "What is it?" she asked without hesitation, she stood from her bed and wandered over to her bow. Judith had had one of the soldiers make her a new one, her old one was too damaged to be fixed. "Another camp has fallen, forget about what you had planned to do today." Judith strapped her pouch of arrows to her waist then lifted her bow from the ground. "I want you to come with me, I need your skill with the bow today." she stopped for a moment then turned looking at her brother. For a moment she considered telling him to fuck off, but she bit her tongue stopping herself from doing so. "Fine." she said, she would go even if she didn't want to at all. Judith walked behind the three men, though she was farther behind than them. She had been told to stay behind, she could pick off any Dark Elves that planned to strike them. Though she should have been watching cautiously for the enemy, her mind was elsewhere. She wondered if she would ever run into Rhyldrin again on the battlefield and if the next time would not be pleasant. Hell, if she ran into him now... she would have to force herself to hurt him. |
He seemed to be on edge a bit as he walked through the forest, but he had a right to be he was in the thick of the Light elf controlled area. Archers were a huge issue.. though in most cases they weren't that big of a problem.. though a few had come close but not as close as Judith had that one day. "tsk..." he hissed out as he walked whatever thoughts he was thinking had irked him.
Sure there were a few dark elf camps a few mere miles off and the attacks could be blamed on them.. but that was hardly his intention he had let soldiers get away to spread the word on purpose. He was trying to draw the one light elf that he had a score to settle with out onto grounds where he didn't have a army to protect him. Though he knew that he'd probably have at least a few of his top men with him if not extras for the hell of it. Either way he stuck close to the recently destroyed camp. This time in his route he was checking for any survivors, if there was any they were beyond help by now. He ensured his blows were fatal in some way or another. Though for this camp it seemed he did his work all too well he almost didn't let the one he saw running hours ago get away. Having been caught up in combat he blindly slaughtered the camp by himself. Though it was a smaller camp being only thirty strong at most and some weren't even at the camp when the attack happened. Either way the walking was allowing him to get his breath back and regain himself in preparation.. just in case this commander he had been hunting finally showed his face. He had a gut feeling he was about to cross paths with Judith again... he shrugged that off, there's no way that'd happen. Though if her skills were that impressive.. she very well could be one of his top 'men'. If it came to that he'd deal with it he'd have to make a derision.. He couldn't afford to show that he had a weakness, though striking her was out of the question. He half laughed at his thoughts, wouldn't that be funny to be ended by a childhood friend. That'd be fitting now wouldn't it. Either way he seemed a bit cocky having not a blade drawn, though they were both in plain sight that was certain. Out of curiosity he half wanted to know what the little foot soldiers reported when they fled for their lives, what would they say.. that they ran from one dark elf or did they make up some story saying there was a army of them. |
Judith kept to herself a majority of the way there though when they became closer to the camp Uldric slowed down and began to walk next to her. She didn't bring her eyes to him, even if he spoke to her he would ignore him. Why was he bothering her at a time like this? It really did seem that he wanted to get on her nerves and he should know better from what had happened last time. She didn't care if Brishen or Kane were with them, if Uldric tried something then she wouldn't be afraid to harm him. Brishen would probably find it amusing that she wanted to actually harm someone for once, everyone knew Judith as a kind woman who wanted peace more than anything between the Dark and Light Elves. "You know that I have not forgotten what you did to me," he hissed, Judith began to walk faster, she kept her eyes forward on the other two men hoping that maybe Brishen would tell Uldric to come back to them. Brishen seemed to notice Uldric's sudden absent, he continued to walk but looked over his shoulder. Kane looked behind curiously, what was Uldric doing? "You can't avoid me forever, Judith." he added then smiled. "I will have you, just like I did a few years ago." she stopped walking and looked at him. "Fuck off," she barked at him, Uldric stopped beside her and roared with laughter. "You're cute when you're angry, look at you." he purred then brought himself closer to her. "Trying to be something that you're not." The two other men stopped, Brishen turned facing the direction that Judith and Uldric were in. "Stop that," he barked at Uldric. Uldric looked up from Judith and at him. "This isn't the place for your bullshit, get back here and focus on what we have to do rather than what you want to do." then he turned and continued to walk, Kane laughed and followed Brishen. Uldric looked back at Judith, their eyes met and he smiled. "I'll talk to you later." he purred then walked away from her. She bit her tongue holding back anything else that she wanted to say to him, he was leaving her alone for now and that was good enough for now. She too then continued to walk, she wish that she had not been asked to come at all. Judith's ears perked up as she heard a sudden noise, her eyes wandered over the surrounding area though she didn't see anything. Maybe she was just hearing things. |
With the commotion from the group it had caught his attention easily enough. He smirked a little knowing very well that this had to be the group he had been waiting for and trying to lure out. He kept his noise to a minimal as he moved to seek out the location of this little group. Though they seemed to kill their noise for a period so tracking them took longer then he thought.
After a little while he found them, go figure she was there. 'damn.. oh well it'll have to be done then' he thought to himself as he kept out of sight, though he'd have to watch himself when he did choose to attack the other two looked skilled enough as fighters and if Judith was startled then he'd be rewarded for it with a arrow.. For now he'd have to wait.. though that would be cut short. Something had been lost in the woods for the past few months torn between who to follow. After Judith went missing for a day or so the dragon had left her camp and set off to find her or Rhyldrin. With how much Rhyldrin had been moving the dragon had been steadily trying to track him. Though this time it found Judith as it paused near a tree with a soft whine seeing the three with her. It knew Rhyldrin was in the area and the dragon could feel the lust for blood from both sides.. minus Judith. He was going to have to watch himself it'd end up being 4 against one if he didn't watch it and they were staying too close for him to land a shot and get out of there. For once he had to admit he was worried.. this could end badly if he didn't kill at least three of them he had no doubt he was a dead man. For all he knew Judith could have changed over the past month and she could have found a hatred for dark elves as well. They drew closer and closer to the destroyed camp site of the former general light elf. He was making sure to keep just out of sight, though he was in bow shot but that was hard to get out of while still keeping a eye on this group. He'd have to bit his tongue and attack at some point or another if he didn't get the jump on them then it would really hinder his plan to kill the commander .. even if he died after it wouldn't matter. Though he had no plans on dying today. |
The four cautiously approached the destroyed camp, Brishen seemed disgusted by the site. Judith knew that he was thinking poorly of Dark Elves, he was probably cursing them more than he ever had before. The other two men were probably thinking the same, though Judith didn't know how Kane felt about all of this. He didn't speak enough for her to try and know what kind of person he was. Recently there had been too many problems between the Dark and Light Elves. It really didn't even make sense for the war to continue, now it was just mindless killing. She hoped that the new king would revive the talk of peace between the Dark and Light Elves. "Look for survivors," Brishen barked at Kane and Uldric, his eyes wandered over to Judith wondering what he could have her do. "Though I hardly believe that we will find anything, look at this mess." he let out a sigh. "Why even bother?" Uldric asked as he walked off, Kane looked at him it seemed that Uldric's comment had upset him. "These are our own men and you don't want to bother looking for survivors?" he shook his head. Then he wandered off in the other direction to search as well. Judith walked over to her brother, she didn't really know what to say about the mess that the Dark Elves had left behind. Really the Light Elves could easily do the same to them without a second though, war really was an awful thing. "I suppose that you can stay here or wander off to look for survivors, I know that you don't like death so if you want to try to save someone..." Brishen seemed a little awkward talking to his sister, for once he was questioning her or scolding her. "Try not to wander too far there might still be some Dark Elves in the area." he almost seemed concerned for her well being. Judith didn't speak, she didn't even look at him. She let out a quiet sigh then walked away from her brother, if there were any survivors they would be suffering. When Judith attacked a Dark Elf she always intended to end their life, she assumed that a Dark Elf would do the same to a Light Elf. |
It would seem that luck was with him as the party split up, looking for anyone that was alive.. though Rhydrlin had done his job too well. To be honest it wasn't that he really enjoyed killing but when it came down to it it was either his life or theirs. So it would have to be done, so long as this damned war went on.
He waited till the group had split completely, this was his chance but he'd wait a little longer he needed perfect timing. For Judith to be out of the way and be at a range her bow would be rendered useless it would buy him time if she had to run. All he needed was a few moments he could leave the rest of this group alive if he got his timing right. But he had a feeling it was hardly going to be that easy. Sure the other commanders and units of light elves were easy to take out but this one was one of the top ranked... he better pose a challenge. The dragon cooed and ran up to Judith pawing at her leg after she walked off from her brother. It whined and shook it's head trying to tell her that Rhyldrin was in the area though it was hardly old enough to have the ability to learn common tongue. The dragon seemed panicked and under nourished from it's travels. But it was still trying to get her attention begging for her to listen almost. He didn't notice the odd commotion going on over near Judith as he looked for the other two that were with Brishen seeing they were far enough to not be considered a threat.. so long as this ended quickly. He drew both blades silently as he posed for his strike making one last check that everything was in place. He just needed to land one blow and make it count he wasn't sure how well he could hold up even in one against one combat if this guy was as strong as the rumors said. Taking his chance he moved closer to Brishen before making his strike though the sudden sound of steel against steel rang out through the forest as he turned just in time to block both blades with his sword. This fight just turned into a long battle Rhyldrin knew this already. He had done everything perfectly, though at the same time this could prove to be quite fun a challenge for once. His ears went back pulling one blade from the sword and preparing it to strike as he stepped in to close the distance further between him and Brishen. Though this strike was blocked as well and Brishen had moved his sword to prevent both blades from hitting him. For the moment the two seemed to just stand there as if they were trying to test the strength of the other judging what to do next as if it were a game of chess. Rhyldrin just needed to make sure that sword stayed busy. He seemed to be at least doing that and waiting for a opening. |
Judith jumped a little when she felt the little dragon pawing at her leg. She had not expected to see the poor creature again after she couldn't find him. He seemed to have lost some weight, probably because he had not been properly feed for the past month. Judith looked around her making sure that Brishen, Uldric and Kane were not looking at her. She bent down and reached out her hand allowing the little dragon to crawl into it. He seemed to weak her eyes filled with sorrow. "I'm sorry," she whispered softly to him. "I had no clue where you had gone, look at you." she added then brought her hand to her pocket. "I can't allow those three to see you, hide for now and when we get back to the camp I will spoil you." the little dragon hesitated at first but then climbed into her pocket. Judith reached her hand inside and tickled under his chin for a few moments, the little dragon chirped happily. Her small moment of happiness ended when she heard steel against steel. Her eyes dropped her eyes ran over the surrounding area, she had wandered off quite far and couldn't see where he had came from. She took a arrow from her bow and drew it back in her bow preparing herself to strike any potential threat. When she finally brought herself to where the noise had come from her heart nearly stopped. Judith's eyes grew wide with fear, it was Rhyldrin and he was attacking her brother. For a moment she stood still, she wasn't too close to them but if Brishen noticed her just standing around then he would bark an order at her. What was she going to do when he told her to shoot at him? She really had no choice but to follow the order, if she hesitated or refused to then that would be suspicious. She could feel the little dragon wiggling inside of her pocket, he probably had caught Rhyldrin's scent. Perhaps she could leave go back to where she had been before Brishen noticed her, though if Uldric or Kane saw her abandoning Brishen... that wouldn't be too good. Judith's eyes scanned the surrounding area, where was Uldric? Where was Kane? Had they not heard the noise or were they planning to sneak up on Rhyldrin and surprise him? She didn't hear anything other than the struggle between Brishen and Rhyldrin. Brishen smiled at Rhyldrin as he held his blade against his two blades. "Oh," he said attempting to sound almost pleasantly surprised. "I believe that I know you, don't I?" he asked, he was taunting Rhyldrin. Brishen knew that this was the Dark Elf that he had always wanted to finish off. He still had a few scars from when Rhyldrin had attacked him back. "I had almost given up hope of finding you, to be honest I thought that you might be dead but..." he paused for a moment then laughed. "Here you are!" Brishen looked over his shoulder peering over at his sister. He wouldn't tell her to strike now, he wanted to have a little fun with Rhyldrin. |
The dragon wiggled more and whined in her pocket, it knew very well that both of the two fighting wanted nothing more then to spill the other's blood until the last breath was drawn. It seemed worried even in it's current state it was worried about Rhyldrin and Judith finding the girl in a slight state of confusion.
Rhyldrin had lost track of the other two that were with Brishen, that wasn't the smartest thing to do but it happened and now it was too late to try to relocate them. This could end him in a corner easily. Whatever happened he needed to prevent that and keep his eyes open to more then just Brishen before him. He smirked a bit at the poor taunts before speaking. "You should know me... I made sure you had a few marks to remember me by I plan to still pay you back for this scar." He hissed at him before drawing a blade back and trying once more to strike at him. This one came fairly close to landing a hit but Brishen avoided it just in time as a small gap came between the two of them once more. "You'd be lucky if I were dead" He laughed slightly thinking about it, he would be lucky cause Rhyldrin had nothing more in mind then to rip this man apart limb by limb. He noticed that Brishen looked over his shoulder and he saw Judith though he made no indication he noticed her. He had more things to worry about then if she was going to shoot him. He needed to worry about the other two coming up behind him and getting in a cheap blow. |
The two other men stood watching the struggle between Brishen and the Dark Elf. Kane looked at Uldric then spoke. "Should we help him?" he asked, it was a serious question. He knew that Brishen had been looking for a certain Dark Elf for quite some time and now it looked as if he had found him. Though he wasn't sure if Brishen wanted to take the Dark Elf alone or wanted them to help take him down. Uldric laughed quietly then looked at Kane smiling. "We will go to him when he loses the upper hand, for now all we can do is just watch really. I don't think that Brishen would be too happy if I killed him or if you killed him, he's been wanting this Dark Elf dead for quite some time now." Uldric looked back over at Brishen, he wondered if Brishen was even capable of losing. He didn't doubt it, Brishen was too full of himself and drunk on power. Kane seemed uncomfortable with leaving Brishen alone to fight the Dark Elf though he listened to Uldric. The last thing anyone would want to do is get on Brishen's bad side. Kane's eyes wandered over the girl, why did she seem so stunned? Was she looking at Brishen.... or was she looking at the Dark Elf? He kept to himself not telling Uldric what he saw, though Uldric wasn't blind and had probably noticed it as well. He wondered what she was thinking just standing there, though maybe she too knew of Brishen's want to kill this certain Dark Elf. She had her bow readied to fire but was probably holding it back until Brishen barked an order at her. That had to be it, right? She was just keeping to herself like Uldric and himself were doing. Though her body language was quite odd. Brishen was surprised when the Dark Elf had nearly struck him, he breathed in sharply trying to gain control over himself. He was more excited that anything really, he loved a challenge. "I can tell that this is going to be fun," he laughed, Brishen's eyes wandered over the Dark Elf he wondered how much pain he could cause to him. He stood still allowing the gap to remain between them for a few moments before he drew his blade back, Brishen frowned with his blade met the Dark Elf's blades. This was easily annoying him. Maybe he would call his sister to strike him sooner than he had planned, in order to give him the upper hand faster. |
He finally did catch where the other two had run off to, but they seemed to be staying out of the way. Probably waiting for a order or if Brishen lost the upper hand. Though for the time being they seemed evenly matched. This was hardly in his favor even if he manged to take down Brishen he'd have to deal with the others.
"tsk keep thinking that when your choking on your own blood" he growled at Brishen before breaking the weapons from his sword and drawing them both back for another strike. This was a odd fight on it's own a two handed sword against duel blades. Both had advantages and disadvantages but they seemed to be on equal skill level. This trade off of strikes went back and forth, a few minor hits were landed by both sides to the other but not enough to really cause the other side to flinch or slow down. 'tsk damn it i need just one good hit' he hissed at himself still trying to find that opening. For a two handed weapon this Brishen knew what he was doing. There were no openings that were left for a extended period of time, not long enough to plan a strike on it. How long was he going to put up with this one or the other of them would tire after a while and he knew that Brishen was getting annoyed at the blocks and trade off blows.. it was easy to tell as his face expression changed a bit mid fight. Though to be fair Rhyldrin was hardly amused by the trade off, sure a challenge was welcome but this was getting old. He had the odd thought of what if he lost this fight, he'd be dead probably or worse. In a worse case they'd keep him alive and try to pry information out of him.. not that they'd get any but still there were plenty of ways to keep someone alive just to torture them. That's not something he was going to allow he had to win |
Uldric's eyes wandered over to the girl, he had caught Kane's eyes off in a different direction and grew curious of what he was possibly looking at. "What is she doing?" he mumbled quietly to himself. He knew what he wanted her to be doing, it was easy for his mind to become clouded with perverted thoughts. Why wouldn't she let him have her? She had to be so difficult, then again Uldric did love a challenge and she had been providing him with one for years now. Uldric let out a heavy sigh, the next time that he had her alone would possibly be the last. If she harmed him again, which was very likely to occur, then he would be the last to hear her breath. Kane's ears dropped as he watched the struggle, it was boring waiting for Brishen to give them orders. He looked up at Uldric, the man was a few inches taller than him. "How long until we finally get to do something?" he asked then looked back over at Brishen and the Dark Elf. Uldric shrugged his shoulders, he didn't know the answer to that. "Brishen doesn't give up easily, you know him. This could go on forever if he never got tired." his eyes remained on Judith, though he eventually brought them back to Brishen and the Dark Elf. Brishen laughed at the Dark Elf, he wondered how long this would go on for. He was becoming tired of this little game and he could see that the Dark Elf felt the same. Though he really didn't want to stop, he didn't want to back down or give the Dark Elf the chance to strike him in a good spot. Brishen brought his blade away from Rhyldrin but as he went to strike him he felt one of Rhyldrin's blades meet his chest. Brishen flinched and felt his chest with his free hand. He was bleeding, the wound seemed deep. He looked over his shoulder peering at his sister again. "Strike him!" he barked at her. Judith flinched, it felt as if someone had slapped her across the face. Judith walked forward slowly and raised her bow up in the process. She drew the arrow back and stopped, her heart was pounding in her chest. I'm sorry, she thought. Though she was told to strike him she wouldn't strike him where it would be fatal. She aimed for his shoulder and let go of the arrow. Judith closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. She wouldn't miss. |
