Considering the limitations that forums have, I try to pay attention to the use of emotes. Humans are very, very visual creatures, and one's facial expression and body language can completely alter how a sentence is taken. It's something that just can't be mirrored in text alone. Emotes are a good, if still inadequate, way to get more of that across. -shrugs- As are actions like these. A lot of little details we tend to register without being able to... pick them out to explain with quite as much ease.

Ducky 01-10-2012 05:20 PM

not crying for well over 5 years is in no way a lucky thing. It's quite horrible really. Family members die, nothing. It can quite often make me feel empty, or memorially barren.

yeah.. emotes and actions or sort of necessary to get the right message across on-line. -shrug- But I'll drop this topic now.

Asami 01-10-2012 05:21 PM

I know its my fault. Lol

Ducky 01-10-2012 05:24 PM

If you know it's your fault, could you try and not get upset at me when I'm not saying anything to get upset over? D:

Gallagher 01-10-2012 05:24 PM

That I can certainly understand. -nod- But, opposites do tend to envy one another. Human nature and all of that.

Asami- I wasn't putting further blame on you, I was shifting the conversation from your habits to my view on the situation as a whole. You asked for a subject change, without jumping into the one that already happened, so I provided the shift for you. I guess I'm the only one that appreciates smooth conversational shifts like that?

Ducky 01-10-2012 05:28 PM

I can't cry, no matter how hard I may try, or want to :/

it was a rather subtle change, and easily mistaken not to be a change XD

Asami 01-10-2012 05:34 PM

I'm far from upset? Why would you think that?
I'm just really busy atm and my friend is over and bad stuff happened with her and I'm trying to make her feel better...

Asami 01-10-2012 05:35 PM

I can't read that much sorry gall I only can read why the replies are after me if that. I'm trying but I'm so busy. Some really horrible stuff just happened.
If you care ill keep you posted.

lnspire 01-10-2012 05:35 PM

There was a point where I could hide it away. But my necessary self introspection kind of destroyed the little control I have and now a great many things can stir up my emotions.

I think I may have liked it better when I fooled myself into believing I didn't need it. The grass is always greener on the other side.

I'm a Libra, I demand balance. . . not that it works.

Misfit 01-10-2012 05:36 PM

-Stare-
Oh, sorry OxO
I got my uh, 'evening' breakfast .

lnspire 01-10-2012 05:37 PM

Two evening breakfast eaters in here.. O.o *giggles* I like breakfast any time of day.

If you're really busy and your friend really needs you perhaps you should shift your focus to him/her for now? You can chat with us any time.

This was starting to take the direction of when you get upset, with calling your jokes lame and so on. But I was talking about more in general. It has happened a lot on here, and sue to happen on Zan as well.

Gallagher 01-10-2012 05:38 PM

Aha, it seems that way. A bit of a habit of mine, I suppose. It's a comfort to me, subtle shifts like that. It allows for acknowledgement of the feelings, and the request, while not making the agreement to follow them so obvious that it's like the entire conversation has been uprooted... A good thing to keep the guilt away.

Given the choice, I would rather cry all the time than never, but there are always times that I wish the opposite were true.

Asami, dear, if you're trying to help your friend... My suggestion would be for you to get off of the site and give her your full attention.

Inspire- Virgo here, not that I'm well acquainted with what that really means. My bio mother is a Gemini, though, and believe me when I say that it shows.

I've yet to get my breakfast, Misfit.

Ducky 01-10-2012 05:49 PM

I think i'd prefer it as I am, than to be crying all the time. the lack of crying and emotions can come in useful at times.

lnspire 01-10-2012 05:58 PM

If I were to cry all the time I don't know if I could ever get over anything. I have been to that point and it was anything but functional and healthy. I don't view it as a strength to have everything effect my health.

I concur for my gemini mother as well. <w<" Virgos... they are always great conversationalists to say the least. Quick witted, sharp and love to reason, the typical ones anyway. =P I haven't read too much on signs, just when I learn of someones I get curious and love to make the application to see how 'aligned' to their signs they are.

I'm still eyeing the eggs to scramble with some chocolate. =D

Ducky 01-10-2012 06:02 PM

chocolate scrambled eggs...? That's genius! @_@

Gallagher 01-10-2012 06:03 PM

Well now, if that's the case, I do believe my sign suits me quite well. -smooths out uniform-

My crying isn't always very... helpful, I suppose, but given that I have a lot worth crying over, it's helped to a degree. I would feel better if I could speak to someone on serious matters without starting up, though. It's been inconvenient, to say the least, in situations where I needed to have important discussions.

Ducky 01-10-2012 06:13 PM

I know nothing of star signs.. What does Tarous mean?

lnspire 01-10-2012 06:28 PM

Unfortunately Gall I have that same issue. I would go to school counselors and then I'd start to cry instead of talk. . . If they saw it a problem they never mentioned it to anyone. Not that it was limited to counselors. . . DNE.

Ohh. I get to read about Taurus next! Although it does me a lot better to have met you in real life first. . . I feel I get more of the essence of a person when I apply their signs.

~~~~~
The Bull, Taurus. Tradional traits are as follows: Patient - Reliable. Warmheated - loving. Persistent - determined. Placid - security loving.
Controversially. . Jealous - Possessive. Resentful - Inflexible. Self-indulgent - Greedy.
Of course, these are not by any means all true or the extent of/including limits, rather the commonality of a Taurus. Neither can I attest to the accuracy of it, having just pulled it randomly.
There are other factors that come into play that I'm unsure of. I believe, birth origin, time of birth, planet alignments or something of the nature also play a factor. I could very well be mixing it up with other ways of reading so I hope not to offend any possible on lookers with my ignorance of zodiac signs and the similar. -o-' //disclaimer
Is it okay to share links here? http://www.gotohoroscope.com/taurus-meanings.html A bit about Taurus. What do you think? =P
Ducky 01-10-2012 06:32 PM
the controversial things don't sound all that great to me XD
Gallagher 01-10-2012 06:38 PM
Aha! A more comprehensive view will tell you the Rising, Sun, and Moon signs... All showing different aspects of the personality, aye? The Sun sign is what most people know. It's the obvious. But it doesn't tell the whole story. The Moon indicates your... subconscious self, if you will. How you'll be when things start getting to be too much and you run on instinct instead. The Rising is rather like... what your aspirations may be in life, or how you'll mature, and their reflection on how you present yourself.
You are right, though. The year, month, day, even hour all come into play. Most people don't feel like they fit into their signs because they hardly even scratch the surface.
Ducky 01-10-2012 06:41 PM
All i know is that my stone is diamond, I'm a Taurus and was born in the year of the cockerel. I haven't paid much attention to this sort of thing.
Asami 01-10-2012 07:22 PM
okay well everything is good now lol
Asami 01-10-2012 07:32 PM
also gall look C:
i told them not to follow the outfit but she did XD oh well.. lmfao
Gallagher 01-10-2012 07:40 PM
She's so... bright.
There's no way that's her natural color.
Arikana 01-10-2012 08:15 PM
Heya everyone! x)
What's up?
Lioshika 01-10-2012 08:57 PM
o_o Most upsetting news. And yet I have a feeling there is something more that will happen.
Gallagher 01-10-2012 09:10 PM
Nothing much, really. It seems like one of those days. Not quite dull, but not quite special, either.
Lioshika 01-10-2012 09:21 PM
It is one of those days that I just want to see end.
Ducky 01-10-2012 09:24 PM
All my days are pretty much identical and crap these days. Having no friends and no job sort of suck.
Gallagher 01-10-2012 09:26 PM
I still have some hopes of getting something done today... -scratches head- And, Ducky, I hear that one.
Ducky 01-10-2012 09:27 PM
i have no hope of getting anything done since my day is technically over. 1:30am all ready..
Lioshika 01-10-2012 09:29 PM
It's only 8:30 for me. So I have awhile to go yet.
Gallagher 01-10-2012 09:30 PM
I'm on the same time as Lio here, so.
Ducky 01-10-2012 09:32 PM
I wish you both luck in doing something productive xD
All i did today was make dinner, watch some Lie to Me, play some Magic and now I'm on the PC and watching Eureka. That is pretty much all my days.
Lioshika 01-10-2012 09:39 PM
Gall; North or south?
I'm in NY state.
Gallagher 01-10-2012 09:48 PM
Southern Virginia. Right by the coast.
Lioshika 01-10-2012 09:51 PM
Aw damn. You're far. @_@
I'm one of the only ones up in the North huh?
DarkForbidden-Love 01-10-2012 09:53 PM
I think there are actually quite a few of us people of the North, Lio.
Ducky 01-10-2012 09:59 PM
I doubt there are many in Scotland...
