O.O *abandons the cookies and munches on greasy fish and chips instead*

NikkoGallarado 05-28-2012 11:31 PM

Really his name is not Kevin? SO why do you call him Kevin?

I am the manry-est of men!

Cheshiresneer 05-28-2012 11:34 PM

-attacks abandoned cookies feverishly-

NikkoGallarado 05-28-2012 11:35 PM

-sits up watching amused- This is interesting. . . .

I am the manry-est of men!

Azrael 05-28-2012 11:36 PM

...Cause that's what he introduced himself as and he hasn't told me/won't tell me (granted I haven't asked) his Korean name. x.x'
A lot of Koreans will take an English name because typically Americans have a hard time saying Korean names.
Like Hoya's English name is Jacob (or Jake)
Kwon-ah's English name is Jack
Jeehyun's English name is Becky (which I actually call her by)
I don't think Leetae chose one, though. But his is easy to say.

Sooo yeah. A lot of the time they'll choose an English name. (Or shorten their Korean name, or both)
Mmm, Like Hoya's name is actually Sang Ho, and Kwon-ah's name is actually Kwon Yong

yeah >_> A lil complicated. And it definitely causes confusion between friends when you only know someone by one name.

Azrael 05-28-2012 11:37 PM

Oh yeah, sorry, >3< I don't add people on facebook from online. Except for like, 3 or 4 people I've known for... like, yeeeeeeears.

NikkoGallarado 05-28-2012 11:40 PM

Oh, oh I see, I can understand that it's like my aunt who vetnemis. All there names are confusing also.

I am the manry-est of men!

Reyoki 05-28-2012 11:40 PM

*noms on my greasy food and sips tea*

NikkoGallarado 05-28-2012 11:41 PM

That Alois, sounds disgusting to me. . . .

I am the manry-est of men!

Cheshiresneer 05-28-2012 11:42 PM

Oooo ok, np! I add people that I raid with from WoW + Rift so I'm used to it. Heck my fiance I met in WoW >.> -cough hack-

Done cookies...now I need some more tea. <3 tea..

NikkoGallarado 05-28-2012 11:44 PM

Alois, please give the young lady more tea, please.

I am the manry-est of men!

Azrael 05-28-2012 11:44 PM

Not to mention, we just tend to butcher their names. Like the common Korean last names we all /think/ are easy (Lee, Park, Kim) we are saying terribly wrong. It's more like Ee Bahg, and Geem. Although the G sound is more somewhere between a G and a K >_> So I understand Kim being said wrong. But Ya. (and just for my fun, here's them in Korean spelling 이, 박, 김 )
Yay XD I'm practicing my Korean spelling/reading (and failing but I can read it okay enough usually, but I haven't a goddamn clue what's being said)

Azrael 05-28-2012 11:45 PM

Mini korean lessons? XD Sorry, I go on rants lately >_>

Anyway, haha, yeah. ^^' I dunno, I just don't let people on my facebook often. Hell, even people from real life I won't always add. I think I have like, forty friends on it is all. ._.

Reyoki 05-28-2012 11:48 PM

*gapes* I got her tea last time! It's your turn, you stuck-up brat!

NikkoGallarado 05-28-2012 11:48 PM

Nope it's fine I like learning new things most of the books and manga I read are Korean artist.

Alois, you are closer and besides you have wonderful teal pouring skills.

I am the manry-est of men!

Azrael 05-28-2012 11:49 PM

XD My knowledge is very limited... so when I know something, I rant. >_>
