Actually, I was talking to you becuase I didn't feel like spelling Guache all the time and Femme sounds like Female, not a very good name to call you by in my opinion (it's a tad contradictory to me)

I meant to say that the name sounds too general. It's contradictory to name someone something general because the point of a name is to identify someone, no?

At any rate, "femme gauche" literally means "female left" or "left female"... speaking of the direction. And the word also means "awkward" in french and in english it has a similar use... I am left-handed, and a bit awkward. I am also female as well as a feminist, so i chose the name for its layered meaning.

Yeah, it is kind of hard to explain, it is just one of those things where a number of factors sort of combine to give a kind of layered meaning to it. I love when things can be taken at multiple levels.
