I have several costumes I wear to conventions... Does that count as Halloweeny? :P

trystan830 06-08-2016 09:41 AM

toho, i'm gonna go with yes...

a number of years ago i made a witchy dress for Halloween, if only for the reason that i got tired of indicating my regular clothes i was wearing and saying 'i'm a witch... we look like everyone else.'

so i'm going to say cosplay costumes count as halloweenie too. =D

Tohopekaliga 06-08-2016 09:45 AM

Well, then. I'm pretty well covered, hehe

trystan830 06-08-2016 10:15 AM

well then, yaay!

Tohopekaliga 06-08-2016 12:21 PM

So, what makes your dress "witchy"? :P

trystan830 06-08-2016 12:49 PM

it's long black fabric that has black fuzzy moons and stars. it has a deep red panel down the center, and a section of wide lacings near the top. the sleeves are the same as the dress, but the underside of the flouncy cuff matches the panel.

i've since taken the cape off... but i found a picture from 2006, where i said "i made the dress a few years ago"

^small, not-the-best-quality pic, but...

Tohopekaliga 06-08-2016 12:58 PM

Hehe, I see! Definitely witchy. :D

trystan830 06-08-2016 01:01 PM

thanks!

and yep, witchier than a tshirt and jeans, that's for sure. =)

Glitch 06-08-2016 01:33 PM

i liiivvveeeee

so sleepy and i can't remember going to bed last night either XD

I have no idea why so tired ;;

Tiva 06-08-2016 01:34 PM

It is the classic witch that you think of… minus the pointy hat
The dress looks awesomely cute though

I have a 'witch' outfit too but it is Scarlet Witch ala Age of Ultron.

trystan830 06-08-2016 01:41 PM

thanks Tiva!

Glitch, for me it goes like this: i go to bed late, i get up 'early.' if there's a day i go to bed 'early' and get up late, and happened to mention to my husband that i'm still tired, he tries to tell me that i need to go to bed early more often. i need to get into the habit of going to bed early, and getting enough sleep so i'm not still tired.

i don't tell my hubby that anymore.... ;)

Tiva 06-08-2016 01:47 PM

I just sleep in the weirdest patterns that I can. Sometime with a daily nap.
In college I was in the habit of staying up til 2 am, waking up at 7 am then having a nap from 3pm til 5 pm.

trystan830 06-08-2016 01:53 PM

i'd be very hard-pressed to get up at 7 a.m. for anything! XD

i can't seem to take naps in the afternoon even though some days i really think i should.

Glitch 06-08-2016 01:54 PM

i feel like a nap right now. . .

but i did just wake up. . .

haha

trystan830 06-08-2016 02:04 PM

LOL, Glitch!

interestingly enough, i'm awake this afternoon...

Tiva 06-08-2016 02:30 PM

I was in college with an 8 am class. I had no choice but to get up or fail the class.

trystan830 06-08-2016 02:35 PM

one semester i had an 8:30 a.m. class at our main campus which was an hour away by the shuttle bus. i missed it more than i was there, and i really wanted to go to that one... it was Editorial Writing. (i have a degree in journalism)

Glitch 06-08-2016 02:37 PM

i have regressed in my adulthoodness. From ages 19-25 I got up at 6am every day. Was in bed at 10:30 or so. And now I try to stay up until at least midnight and i sleep in as long as possible.

Some insurance lady called me at 8am yesterday and was very dumbfounded that she woke me up. She kept saying like ". . . are you 3 hours behind me or something? We're both in Oregon? Oh you're sleeping in? . . . Well go back to bed I guess"

Like what XD

trystan830 06-08-2016 02:50 PM

i still stay up late.

for the most part when i have to be at work M-Sat at 9 a.m., Mon-Thurs i get up at like 8:30 (and sometimes i don't leave until 9. oops.). Friday and Saturday, i'm up at 8:20 and out the door 10-15 minutes later.

Just woke up, and I feel you.
I wanna go back to sleep too. XD;

Potironette 06-08-2016 03:51 PM

I have a terrible sleeping schedule. I get back from school and do homework, then collapse in a few hours, then wake up for a few hours to do some more homework, then inevitably fall asleep and wake up until there's no more time left D:

SparX 06-08-2016 04:49 PM

I've been falling asleep earlier lately, I'm assuming catching up from the past few months of work.
How is everyone besides tired XD

Glitch 06-08-2016 06:03 PM

ah your new avatar is super cute :3

Tohopekaliga 06-08-2016 06:19 PM

Kitties on the shoreline!

SparX 06-08-2016 09:22 PM

Yeah I thought the kitties need some screen time =P
I've gotten a few more from the crane but we haven't had many newbs to hand them back out to so I'm just stockpiling them now XD

Tohopekaliga 06-08-2016 10:47 PM

Then there'll be an influx of newbies, and suddenly...

CATSPLOSION.

SparX 06-08-2016 11:14 PM

Awww yaaaaaasss cats.

trystan830 06-08-2016 11:15 PM

i love kitties!

Tiva 06-08-2016 11:41 PM

Glitch if I had been awake enough I would have trashed her. Several people are asleep at 8 am, including people who work second shift, or night shifts. That was just plain rude.

Glitch 06-09-2016 01:01 AM

ya i was pretty like whaaaat XDDD

trystan830 06-09-2016 12:59 PM

gah! i just listened to to the cast recording of Hamilton for only the second time... but this time it was after i was able to, uhm... view it online. the whole thing! wow! powerful stuff, even if you know only a little bit of US revolutionary history.

Glitch 06-09-2016 01:21 PM

ok i'll have to keep an eye out for it :3

ALso why is having pet fish so hard?!

I hate my life right now ._.

stupid fish.

trystan830 06-09-2016 01:28 PM

oh good luck with seeing the actual show. next year it'll be touring to Los Angeles and San Francisco... and then who knows where. a website i found said it'll be in Boston... in the 2017-18 season.

and forget tix for broadway... they're opening a new batch of tickets for next year to go on sale i think June 12th. i expect they'll be gone in a matter of hours....and if you can't get them from the box office, you'd need a few hundred dollars (like 14) to get them online somewhere....

yeah, it's a little insane.

edit: that's what i 'got in trouble for' last week when i was posting where i found it on another forum! heh.

Tiva 06-09-2016 04:23 PM

Yeah…. I did the bad thing and watched a recording. But it is so hard to See things in NC, I don't even think they will sell the script rights here right now. I know Wicked won't.

Glitch 06-09-2016 06:06 PM

i've never been to anything like that!

trystan830 06-09-2016 10:37 PM

i watched it too. i'm not ashamed though. ;)

Glitch 06-11-2016 03:52 PM

i get to interview somebody today. pretty exciting stuff

SparX 06-11-2016 07:12 PM

How did it go?

Glitch 06-11-2016 07:55 PM

not well. not well.

xD

SparX 06-11-2016 08:22 PM
