Yeah I find the same thing. If I cross stitched it would be the same. Crafting... Doing something with your hands that is productive is nice, lets you let out any excess energy or keep your brain focused...
I find myself jittering if I can't be knitting. Or in some way crafting. I spin a little bit. I have three spindles which are purchased; several others which are from improvised materials (peanut butter jar lids and wooden craft dowels, erasers and double pointed knitting needles... bits of old cardboard box with wooden craft dowels and hot glue...) |
Wow... that sounds complicated.
|
That does sound complicated. O.o
And thanks for the info Femme. :) I appreciate it, and will definitely keep it in mind. *nod* So how exactly DO you spin your own yarn? |
I imagine it's complicated. lolz!
|
Hey FAUX! Do you have any pics of your crafties?
|
On my comp I do ~ I'm on my mom's right now - so I can show off some stuff when I get to my comp.
|
*Slow-mo Arm Flail* Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! >x<
|
Lolz ~ I totally forgot the pictures!
Anyway! off to get a haircut! |
Awww...
But yay! Haircut! :) I get mine cut maybe every 3 years or so and donate it to Locks of Love. *nod nod* |
My hair is all colored to hell. Purple, red, pink, orange ~ I don't think they take colored hair.
|
They don't take bleached hair. If your hair is naturally light and you colored it with out bleaching it first, they'll take it. *nod*
The More You Know *Rainbow* |
I don't have that much hair... It's about like my avatar right now.
Spinning yarn really isn't that complicated. It's one of the oldest crafts after all... People all over the world have been doing it for millennia. |
Just because people have been doing it for a long time doesn't mean it's easy! lolz!
Also - my hair looks like crazy town now. |
Agreed. *nod nod* I can do crochet things that my mom is still not able to figure out, and she's got at least 15 years on me with the whole crochet thing. I also figured out how to knit before my mom did. She's been trying to figure it out for the last 10 years or so... >.>'
What exactly does crazy town look like? @.@ |
AGH! I keep forgetting the pictures!
Robert Smith hair = crazy town. |
Gotcha. Very interesting hairstyle, lol. I've always had plain jane hair, usually pulled back in a high ponytail. Essentially mom hair.
And in relation to crafting: I've joined the first five squares in what was going to be a crib bumper. I'm actually thinking of just making it into a blanket for her. I'll take pictures and post them soon. *nod* |
