lol, normally its fine as long as you're not using their work for something. A lot of times those songs have been spread so much they have become free domain if they weren't fan creations anyways. XD

Most of the vocaloid songs I listen to have been dubbed into English through I have heard the original versions of most so I basically have a clue what the song is about. I would say my fav. vocaloid is Lily, through she's not a popular one compared to Ren/Len, etc.

And for copyright laws, as long as your not charging people and you provide appropriate credit (link back to the original artist/song writer), you should be more than fine. I remember turning the Mummer Dance by Loreena McKennitt into a midi file cause it was really, really rare to get that song in midi form and as long as I gave credit to Loreena since the song was not mine, I was perfectly safe using it where ever I wanted. Would actually love to hear that song performed by Vocaloids or even Skellig or the Highway Man, more so the Highway Man since it would be more along the lines of a Vocaloid song for Len/Ren since they always seem to die in theirs or I just have a really horrible like for the morbid songs where everyone like dies at the end... Notice the two of Lily's I like, they die as well... XD One can dream through.

I like Lily though like Haku she's more obscure vocaloid.
As for Rin and Len dying I swear Mothy has it out for Len.
Most vocaloid songs are morbid, if you would like a list of songs for that I'm sure I could make one.

I pretty much know most of the songs and yea, she is pretty obscure but than Miko, Ren/Len have always been the more known vocaloids.

I wouldn't say all are morbid, Witch Hunt, Game of Life and Hide n Seek are pretty tame compared to the Alice Murders, Servant of Evil or Fear Garden. There is another one sung by Miko about War and Love which isn't even morbid.

Actually in truth, Marie-Luise and Chloe are not even that morbid but than I haven't really found out the meaning of both songs in English cause no one has done a dub yet of either but from what I have googled, either both sisters die in the last song or one dies in the first and the other commits suicide over killing/losing her sister in the second.

Not sure if Ren/Len die in every song but pretty much most of the ones I have in English, they do. :p-mischievous:

Miku is the most popular vocaloid, it's surprising just how many people thing she's a gen 1 vocaloid when she is actually a gen 2.

Anything that has 'master' in it is quite morbid, I mean kaito's uninstall has him deleting everyone else so he would the the only one master would look at. Then there is scissorsroid that has a jealous miku who is actually killed by luka because again the master was spending more time with her. Then there is trick or treat, circle you, circle you, alice human sacrifice to name other messed up then the whole evillious chronicle is messed up and pretty darn dark.

They don't die in every song, perhaps about 10% of the songs I have seen and most of the time it's poor Ren. Mothy has it out for him!

Romeo and Cinderella is another very tame one. Forgot I had just gotten that one dubbed but yea.

Well Circle you is based on a game, same as Hide n Seek. the Alice one is about a group of unsolved murders and haven't listened to Trick or Treat the whole way through yet. Out of these four, I have Circle You, Hide n Seek and the Alice one dubbed.

Len is quite protective of his twin and will die for her. He gets beheaded in Servant of Evil so Rin can live.

In the song "A Faint Wish" Rin sacrifices herself for him

lol, I have quite a few I really need to listen to. But as said, I try to find them english dubbed before I listen to the original. I like Japanese but I want to understand what is happening in the song first.

There are a few not morbid ones. Than again, I am a morbid person so I tend to go for the ones with death and blood in them. XD

You know most often the Japanese cones come with subs.
