Dont remind me…. God we had such a weird Bio class… but at least it wasn't Christian school NO EVOLUTION EVER rules.

trystan830 08-18-2016 12:07 AM

i went to a public high school. =)

Lawtan 08-18-2016 12:08 AM

I remember arguing with my biology teacher, trying to convince her that climate change was a thing. :P

trystan830 08-18-2016 12:12 AM

that sounds like it could have been fun. XD

I argued with my grade seven teacher about how starfish make more starfish. He said they split like amoebas. I said he was an idiot.

I'm a northerner. Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. And I've lived in this area all my life. LOL Though my lack of tolerance isn't just for heat. I also freeze when others are comfortable (or did till the hot flashes started), but when one is cold one can put on more clothes! In summer there's only so much an old fat dame can take off before somebody starts crying.

trystan830 08-18-2016 02:49 PM

i'm just not a fan of the heat. never really have been.

Tam I am 08-18-2016 02:52 PM

Aww. You should move here, and have our nice mild heat. LOL Our winters aren't humid either. I love that. I've been in humid winters, and they hurt.

trystan830 08-18-2016 02:53 PM

if i had the money (and a job offer) i would!

Tiva 08-18-2016 04:00 PM

I like the cold, more clothes are better than less and I despise running in the heat. The local high school has had to delay school before so that the kids wouldn't die of heat stroke on the buses with no AC.

Also…. how is it school time already?

Den 08-18-2016 04:35 PM

I guess I'm the weird one of the group. I don't like the heat OR the cold. Mid-spring and early to mid-fall are my favorite times of year, when I can walk outside in jeans and t-shirt and not melt, or freeze.

Lawtan 08-18-2016 05:38 PM

I like the cold, but not humidity. I can stand the heat...though that is more stupidity-determination that is akin to playing in snow in a tshirt and shorts...

And yeah...I had 8 days between summer and fall classes. Wheeeeeee!
(It's okay a little because I like the classes...less okay because there are more of these things called humans in the fall xD)

Tiva 08-19-2016 11:02 AM

I wish I could have just taken summer classes sometimes. The class size was smaller, more hands on. That or online only classes

Wow. Here they shut schools due to cold.

LOL I didn't say I liked 'em, Den. I just said I could cope better with the one than the other. I'm a fall and spring person too. Also a rainy day one.

Have you played in snow in summer clothes? I've walked over dried-out spring snowdrifts in sandals.

Pretty much. Though it doesn't snow as often as I'd like.

Tam I am 08-19-2016 06:50 PM

Awww. Maybe someday you can visit someplace or move someplace with real snow.
