why do you remind me of snow white...
|
Wait, I'm confused... Do we need to sing an originally-composed song as a carol?
|
No, just sing any carol. The writing contest for original lyrics is separate from the singing one. But of course you can sing your (or someone else's) originally-composed song, if you want to.
|
Hey, Ari, could you take my poem down? I wish I could write something that fit.
|
are you re trying someting else?
|
Nahhh. No skill. LOL
|
Hmmm? Sure, if you want. -Nod-
I don't have to, but if you WANT me to, I will. |
Yes, please.
*throws snowflake shaped glitter all over everyone, and then RUNS* |
Since offensive carols are permitted, I bring you Little Town of Bethlehem - in the style of the brilliant and very underrated Ratje. No actual f bomb in there, but I still give my submission *ahem* a red snowflake for sexual innuendo. :p-cool:
Now this is normally the point where I explain I'm not masochistic, but then again I just uploaded my singing for all of Trisphee to hear... so bow before my awesomeness! and listen at your own risk (Death by Mirrors' Entry) As A Queen - to the tune of "Little Town of Bethlehem", lyrics by eliseratje ❄ [http://vocaroo.com/i/s1rBPOJ6bLWB] Also, check out eliseratje on youtube if you liked this song. That guy deserves some internet fame. (NSFW obviously, except for his few Dutch songs, which aren't safe for work either but your boss won't understand their naughty lyrics) |
Added, and I'm laughing my ass off. XD
|
I'm glad you like it. XD
When I first heard this song I just knew what I had to pick! You know, I even played the entire Christmas Special during family dinner, curious whether anyone would notice. They didn't, which once again proves how much attention people pay to an average carol's lyrics... |
I guess I'd be singing a well-known carol. //shies away

pollik20's Entry
Joy to the World - Isaac Watts http://vocaroo.com/i/s1lz4MHNh8h6 shameless entry :D //shot |
To prove I can also do family friendly, I hereby bring you The Match Girl's Carol, inspired by a tale of Hans Christian Andersen.
(Death by Mirrors' Entry) The Match Girl's Carol Hear my voice Shout against the noise Do you need some light? Sellin' batches Of my sulfur matches This stormy Christmas night Oh I'm just a little match girl Whirling about outside And when the winds and the ice twirl I've no place to run nor to hide Hear me shout Get the message out Do you need some food? Light a match From your precious batch Then you smell a feast so good Oh I'm just a little match girl Whirling about outside And when the winds and the ice twirl I've no place to run nor to hide Fingers bare In the icy air Do you need some heat? Light a match When the doors all latch For a shelter from the sleet Oh I'm just a little match girl Whirling about outside And when the winds and the ice twirl I've no place to run nor to hide Feet all cold Still no matches sold Do you need some love? Strike them all Light them on the wall To guide angels from above Oh I'm just a little match girl Whirling about outside And when the winds and the ice twirl My flickering flame's hope and delight |
Added both! Thank you - you guys are awesome~
