D:

Lawtan 12-27-2019 12:36 AM

My girlfriend has a roach problem, in part cause her roommate never cleans. :s-angry:

Espy 12-27-2019 03:19 AM

I've had many roach problems; the one during summer housing was bc someone in the building block was probably a slob, so cockroaches just... ran through the building's pipe system?

There was also a minor roach infestation in this house I'm currently living in on campus; not entirely sure why because there wasn't anything perishable in there when I moved in. Got some roach bait and that cleared out most of them.

Biomecha 12-27-2019 03:53 AM

I've had to develop different strategies to keep them to a minimum here. Part of it is probably just being in a wooded area, but they've always been here since we moved in. At least there aren't rodents that come inside like an old farm house I used to live in as a kid.

Stabbsworth 12-27-2019 12:25 PM

we've never had roach problems. we do, however, have a huge nest of ants just outside the house, but they're usually underground.

Merskelly Metalien 12-27-2019 04:28 PM

e~e; I gotta move someplace without pests...like...
Antarctica, or Delaware!

mdom 12-27-2019 06:43 PM

We also have ants D: GETOUTTAMYSUGAR

Espy 12-28-2019 03:12 AM

...I ever mention that one summer where I accidentally left a bagel in my messenger bag and a whole fucking colony of ants moved in, and I carried the bag around for at least a day before noticing?

Death by Mirrors 12-28-2019 04:41 AM

Never had any roach problems, but we only recently got rid of the ants that tried to invade our kitchen.

Espy 12-28-2019 04:43 AM

Had a traumatic experience with ants one... no, two... times as a kid.

Heck, I had one just a few weeks ago! Our elderly Chiweenie got roaming in the yard and wore himself out at the top of the hill, and in the process of following him up to carry him home, my foot got caught ina small hole. I fell face first into an ant hill. The attack was nearly instantaneous. I had big red bite marks on my throat for weeks. They got in my clothes and hair too.

mdom 12-28-2019 07:14 PM

Nooo in your face D:
hope you recovered quickly

Merskelly Metalien 12-28-2019 07:50 PM

eUo;;;;;
That's fucking horrifying.
Even more horrifying than me getting a wasp caught in my hair during a car-ride home.
