mochi with peanut butter??? D:
a rainbow tiger is coming! |
I suppose you can stuff anything into a mochi. So far I've only tried bean paste and green tea flavored ones.
|
Is it something like a Reese's cup?

Peanut Butter Mochi! 8D http://www.longyu-sh.com/en/upload/c...1397286106.jpg you can also get a pack of mochi that has regular Red Bean Mochi, Sesame Seed Mochi, and Peanut Butter Mochi ovo |
No, it's made of rice xDD

*comes wandering into the thread hunting for sweets and grabs all the mochis* Wha-? Don't look at me. I just collect them for the pandas, I swear!

Hmm, that is interesting. I wanna see if I can find some in stores now.

There are myths of bunnies making mochi on the moon ovo

Aww, that is adorable!
|
Mochi bunnies are adorbs >w<
|
I can imagine. Bunnies in general are adorable! ^_^
|
That's what the Japanese see on the moon xD
In Brazil they say there's a st slaughtering a dragon. |
America its suppose to be a man
The image they see is the bunny that lives on the moon that makes mochi. (they see a moarter thingy with the bunny) The chinese version says its not mochi but something else o3o mochi is tasty so dk says mochi |
I have only had mochi ice cream (mochi wrapped around ice cream) and I really didn't like it. I want to try mochi again in case being frozen maybe had affected the taste and texture...but I don't want to buy a pack of it and be stuck with them if I don't like it.
:c |
Ah, that is really interesting.
It's always neat learning about what other cultures see. It's just a matter of different opinions. |
Some asia shops sell them in smaller packages. Or you might get lucky at a japanese restaurant.
|
Death: I live in rural Montana. We don't have Asian shops and Japanese restaurants.
|
Ah, sucks. Maybe buy a package then and gift it to the neighbourhood kids if you don't like the taste? *cough* Halloween *cough*
You can even decorate them as small ghosts. |
We don't have any of those near us either. I live in the country part of Pennsylvania myself.
|
Lol.
I'll just not buy mochi. |
More money for chocolate then.
|
It's rather hot in the house today.

its pretty warm here too.. x-x |
I'd like for it just to be cool. Somewhere in the 60's sounds good to me.
|
its 71F here -melts-
|
Ice cream mochi isn't really all that different, I think it just sticks a bit more from being cold, though some places do add a bit of I think a powder of some kind around it so that it doesn't stick to plates and stuff as much. I've had mochi pieces on ice cream, and its kind of like marshmallow but with a different texture.
|
It says it is 66 degrees, but I am sure it is hotter inside than out. It does feel nicer outside. I have my windows open, but it is still blazing. It's about to let out a third burst of heat rain here. Maybe the temperature should drop to the low 60's or 60 degrees even.
