Roland shrugged and walked over to living room and plopped down on the couch and leaned against the arm. "I don't trust you but I'm not bothered by you either." He took a long drink from his beer then motioned for Maki to sit down. "Besides I'm pretty sure I'll be suspended at the least for what happened today anyway so its not likely to matter who I'm seen around."

HAYATE
"YYYAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH." Hayate flew straight out from a chute and headfirst into a nearby compost bin, which tipped over and dumped him onto a cracked sidewalk. Well...I guess that successfully took me down five flights of stairs. Or maybe four. He wasn't sure which floor he had been on when he'd tripped over a tangled mass of cables and fell through a rusted grate. He stood up and looked around. It seemed as if he was on the far side of the office complex, away from the old base. And if he remembered correctly, only a couple blocks away from a residential area. A few missing rags and shirts wouldn't cause too much alarm, right? |
Makoto finished her small meal, and left the cafe. Unsure of what to do next, she returned to her apartment. It'll be a long walk, but it's better than aimlessly looking for those two Fire Skulls right now.
She entered her apartment, and took off her protective armor. She carefully placed her weapons on the table. Geez, what am I going to do? I took out the Fire Skull's base with the Hunters, but at the same time, I lost the Ryuujin and my whole squad. Makoto played with her hair for a moment, running her fingers through her long hair. She sighed. Well, I'm not going to get anything done by sitting here. First things first...I need to clean myself up before I go out again. I'm a mess. She chuckled before gritting her teeth in pain after rubbing the wound on her back. "Ah...dammit. That hurts. Shower first, then I'll go out low profile." |
After snapping about a dozen or more pictures of evidence, the medic crew finally arrive on the scene. Handing over the dog tags that Makoto had given him, Jayden leaves the medics to do their job. Stepping over one of the police lines yellow tape, Jayden pulls out another cigarette and decides to stop by his flat for a bite to eat before heading back to the office to start on the paperwork.
Taking a puff, Jayden begins to head back toward the run down apartments where he was currently staying in. I sure hope they don't end up pairing me either of those two, Jayden thinks to himself, even through Makoto was kind of cute. |
Ashton nodded some, "I can understand that, most people would only care for themselves but at least you are caring for your sister. That is really nice of you." she smiled then looked over the waitress that walked over to take the orders. "Two Awesome Slammers and to go Bento please." he said to the waitress. The women took the order looked over to Chloe to see what she wanted to drink.
|
Maki gave a thoughtful 'hmm' at his words. "So what did happen after we split up? I remember hearing explosions, and I'm pretty sure I heard the voice of a Hunter I saw giving Kyd the business the other day," she inquired. She gave a languid stretched and yawned lightly, suddenly remembering that her nap had been disturbed earlier.
Lillian wandered towards an old dilapidated playground to treat her wounds, sitting on a park bench to do so. Seeing that she was injured, a few bums tried to jump her, surrounding her. She swore and got into a fighting stance as best she could, as her injured arm was rather useless at the moment. Looking around at her surroundings, she probably should have gone indoors to treat her wounds. There was a coffee shop just across the road. |
"Cup of coffee, tons of milk and sugar and two bentos to go," Chloe tells the waitress before sitting the menu down, "Yes, that is true. Many people would rather shove their family into care homes not caring especially when the child has an illness which is sad. My little sister didn't ask to be born ill, all she wants is to be treated like any normal child," Chloe pauses for a moment, "I am probably the only family she has ever known, our mother passed away a few years back which in the end, was a blessing upon itself. Even through she was nothing more than a shell of herself, I refused to place her a home unlike so many people in my position would do, " Chloe closes her eyes for a second before reopening them, "Anyway, who is it you wish to inquire about? "
|
Roland shook his head and took another drink. "Does it matter what I did?" He placed his drink on the table in front of him and relaxed in his seat. "All I am willing to say is that every fire skull that headed for the front to escape was killed."
|
After she took a shower, Makoto spent some time applying medicine and wrapping a bandage around the wound on her back. She didn't want to risk getting the wound infected.
Makoto threw on some casual clothes: dark brown cargo pants, a black sleeveless shirt, and her dark blue jacket. She had no plans on walking out of the apartment with full armor. She holstered her handgun in the concealed shoulder holster under her right arm along with a few ammo clips. Makoto left the apartment once again, and wandered the streets of Old Tokyo. |
Upon returning back to the flat, Jayden scoops out what is left that is actually edible or in other words, isn't covered in flies or has yet been touched by the hands of his room mate.
"That bastard," Jayden grits his teeth, seeing that his room mate has not stocked the fridge yet again before slamming the fridge shut and stomping down the hall to pound on his room mate's bedroom door, "Have you ever heard of getting off your lazy backside and going to purchase some food for once in your life?" Only hearing a few grunts from the other side of the door, Jayden sighs and decides he will grab a bite of eat on his way back to the office. With room mates like that, who needed enemies? |
Just two days. Just two blasted days she was out of the city, and everything managed to turn upside down. Explosion, skull hunter clash with skulls, open fire, and from what she heard, even Kyd getting injured. "Talk about predictability," Akemi thought to her self. Just before this, she had came to conclusion nothing earth shattering would happen for the next month. So, where had she miscalculated...? And what else she wasn't predicting? This ticked the young woman off and her pace quickened, almost subconsciously, as she went down Old Tokyo's street.
While usually she was dressed up what would identify her as Vampire Skull -gothic and gothic lolita styled dresses in black, with laces and ribbons-, for mingling with the crowd, she had chosen a simple black outfit, with enough loose places and hidden pockets to hide her arsenal. Her long white hair was braided and Akemi looked rather regular, on the colorful and crowded streets. Despicably regular. But she knew it was the price of some relative safety. She had already paid for this 'safety' with her family's manor, her persona and old life. Akemi basically did not exist anymore. With a sigh, she picked a cafe to head in. She needed some coffee. And to observe. One can never know what information comes to them unexpectedly. This was her second important duty. The first was already taken care of. Akemi had checked up on most of Toxic Skulls, ordered to keep low profile and to search and warn the ones not in first reach. Another her order was to not go anywhere near the explosion sight. More bad attention was last thing they needed. It seemed like skull hunters were taking some extra actions now. However, Akemi knew she should explore the area around it. OOC: Sorry about bad post, headache and tired. |
Upon the first cafe that sells British foods, came up on his way back, Jayden strolls in and takes the first available seat at the counter. Pulling out a cigarette, his eyes travel around the place before the waitress behind the counter asks him for his order.
Is it too early in the day to start drinking? Jayden ponders for a moment, What the hell, it'll make the paperwork go quicker. "An order of fish and chips and one large pint of beer." Jayden tells the waitress who walks away to put his order in. |
Ashton listen to Chloe story as the witress walked away with both of there orders. "I think you did a wonderful thing by being a good person. Both my mother father are gone really butthey left when I was little older. My friend who happens to be a Tech skull was the one who took care of me in away." she said. The waitress had come back with the drink placed them down before the owners of who had ordered them then said the meals would be out shortly. "The one I am asking about is Yamazaki Kido, he should be a fairly tall green eyes has a scar over his left eye always has a pair head phones and some kind of tool kit or something. I just want to know if he is okay."
|
First thing Akemi always did walking into a room, was checking out the people in it and looking for possible threats. This time, she came to recognize two the moment she saw them. She was not sure of their names, but about their belonging to Skulls, she was sure about. And even two different Skull groups. What could they be discussing? This tickled her curiosity and also suspicion. However, this was a good chance to set one of her plans into action. |
Ashton looked over her as quieted her self some listened to the new comer that had showed up then looked over to Chloe to see if she knew who it was. Ashton her self knew some of the other members but not all. Her red eyes looked at the other girl carefully trying to think of something polite to say to her. "Hmmm, welcome." was all she could really say, as she picked up her glass of warer taking a sip from it.
|
Chloe takes a sip of her coffee, not answering Ashton's question with the new person present before casting a glance through half closed eyes at Akemi and gesturing at one of the empty seats, "I am not stopping you from joining us." she says with a curt tone not caring if this person takes offence to her tone or not, "Through, if you here for information, I am afraid to disappoint you, I am not interested in factions affairs outside of my own."
|
Akemi sat down, smile fading away from her lips. She took only so much care to seem kind. However, a smirk played in her mouth's corners. That Techie was a smart one. And blunt. Such straightforward people... In a way, both despicable and admirable. |
Chloe sits the cup of coffee back on the table and rests her chin on her hands, staring straight at Akemi, "I was under the impression the commotion was with the Fire Skulls," she tilts her head to the side, her eyes barely slits, "Yet, you make a good point but sometimes knowing too much about other factions could also be a weakness while ignorance could be a saving grace, just takes one little slip and the information could be passed upon police or even the skull hunters whom could use the information to track down and take out even more of our factions." Chloe pauses, "Nevertheless, I shall pass your message on and after that, it is out of my hands."
|
Ashton listened to them both taking in the information they in way are sharing. "Well, I have no real say in the matter, I am just an underling but if needed I can and will pass this bit o knowledge on with my leader." she said as he gaze moved away from Akemi to the waitress who brought out the food placed it down on to the table. The girl looked at the new comer, "can I get you anything?" was all the girl said.
|
"You do have a valid point, that is why the balance, if formed, would need careful maintenance and watching over. But it is possible," Akemi stressed. It seemed they did not oppose the idea too much, but what would the others say, and even them, when rest of her plan was revealed... OO C: The method she uses is like people with Diabetes disease sometimes would do. |
Chloe watches as Akemi leaves before taking another sip of her coffee and glancing at Ashton, "Doesn't matter if your an underling or not, you still have the right to voice an opinion when it regards yourself as well," she sits back, her expression serious, "Yamazaki, eh? The last I heard he was doing quite well but than our paths haven't crossed much of lately. Most likely I shall be passing the message on to him so I can let him know you have been asking about him and if you want, I could also ask him to get in touch with you."
The pint was refreshing while the fish and chips were just, well, they made Jayden miss London a bit. Pulling out some money, Jayden exits the cafe and begins to walk toward the police station. |
Harlie Mae Finn/Finn~ <3
After an excruciating time at the airport, Harlie loaded her luggage into a taxi, told the driver the address of her family's home in New Tokyo, and away they went. She had just returned from a week long vacation with her family in Venice. Her parents had returned a day early, but she chose to stay behind one more day to get some alone time. A short while passed and she pulled up to her home, paid the driver and stepped out of the vehicle to claim her bags. After a stare directed towards the driver, he quickly understood and hopped out of the car quickly to get her bags for her. She smiled a coy smile and said only, "Thank you." before walking up the sidewalk to the front door. An hour later, and she had unpacked and spent some time talking with her parents before announcing that she was going out for a bit. Her mother smiled, kissed her on the cheek and told her the usual, "Be careful out there MaeMae!" Harlie nodded in return and replied, "Aren't I always?" No... no she was not. And she wouldn't have it any other way. A little while later she was walking down a street, looking for a familiar face, or something to do, and she happened to walk by a quaint diner where she saw Ashton sitting. She saw her with some other people, and didn't want to interrupt, so she stood by the door and waved to get her attention, just so she knew that Harlie was back in town, then took a seat at a table outside and waited patiently for a waitress. OOC: Not my BEST intro post, but I hope its good enough~ |
Jayden stopped to pull out another cigarette and pulled out his lighter to light it.
"Those things are seriously going to kill you," comes an annoyed voice. Jayden looks over to see a raven haired young girl in a Tokyo school uniform glaring at him, "Yeah, well, they say what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger," he takes a puff, "Anyway, aren't you suppose to still be in School and does your sister know your wandering down town by yourself?" before muttering under his breath, "And I have told her a hundred times I am not a damn child minder." The girl's green eyes narrow into slits, "The school sent me home cause I was sick again and no, she doesn't." Jayden just sighs, he knew the young girl had health risks before he had moved into the flat with her sister and the room mate from Hell but he had mentioned a dozen times or so to the sister about him not being a live in babysitter even through, he had grown to love the young girl as if she was his younger sister and there was no way he would allow her to walk back to the flat on her own. "Come on than," Jayden says, crushing out his cigarette with the hell of his boot, "I still have work to do so you will have to stay around the station till I'm done." |
Ashton looked at Chloe some as she saw something out from the corner of her eye. Seeing it was Finn she pardon her self for a moment went over to the door to see the only other real person she could get along with. "Finn, you're back from your long trip?" she asked with a smile then loked thoughtful for a moment. "I am glad you are back, how was it? Oh hmmm would you mind if I asked her some thing about a friend it was hard for us to talk before since the Ryuujin from the Toxic Skulls came by to share some info that I guess I need to pass on with you.
|
Harlie Mae Fin/Finn~ <3
Harlie smiled and rose from her chair to pull Ashton into an unwilling hug with a smile. "It was great! It was wonderful to get away for a while." She motioned towards a chair. "Please, sit," She offered as she took a seat herself. She noticed Asthon looked like she had something important to say, and after she had finished speaking, Harlie couldn't help but look a little wary. The waitress came over at that exact moment, and Harlie asked only for a water, and the waitress sped away. She returned her gaze to Ashton, remembering what she had just said and asked, "What kind of information?" |
Makoto covered a majority of Old Tokyo's main streets as she aimlessly wandered around. She flipped open her cell phone to check for any new messages. As usual, the "No New Messages" text appeared on the screen, and she put her phone back into her pocket. I haven't run into anyone lately, but that's a good thing. She wasn't wearing her armor, so the people around her think she's a foreigner or a random civilian.
Makoto turned the corner, and tied her hair into a low ponytail. She spotted the police officer from before, accompanied by a young girl. "Well hello there, officer. I didn't think you were a babysitter too." |
Jayden at first didn't recognize Makoto without her armor on, while the young girl narrowed her eyes at Makoto, a glint of distrust in them.
"I'm not a babysitter, just making sure this one doesn't end up in trouble or causing trouble," Jayden replies as Avalon sends him a glare, "Anyway, why are you walking around without your armor? And I kind of was hoping to run into you anyway, need to clear a bit up regarding the report I have to file." |
Ashton nodded some looked at Finn, "From my understanding the leader of the Toxic skulls wants all the the heads to meet up to speak about the hunters and what is going to be happening. How Skulls are no longer safe, are being hunt like animals in away. But also they think with the exploion that has happened today may have been caused by the Skulls. . . .I with the Tech to find out about someone." as she looked over to Chloe then back to Finn, "I know he has some kind of info one way or another. . ."
|
Makoto examines the officer and the young girl's faces, keeping a mental note on their appearances. She cleared her throat. "Just walking around. I don't want the gangs to be aware of me. I also don't want to...make a fuss with civilians giving me weird looks either."
She crossed her arms in front of her chest. "What do you need to clear up? You saw what was leftover from the raid we conducted. And that bandanna-wearing officer happened to kill off those Hunters." |
Maki glared at her beer and scoffed. "It figures. Every time we get comfortable somewhere, we always end up having to relocate soon after." She chugged the remainder of the beer and made a face. "Hey, ya mind if I crash here? Everyone's on their own for tonight, and I haven't finished securing the new base yet."
After bandaging her wounds, Lillian decided to check out a nearby cafe. She sat down and ordered some chow, scanning the place for potential threats. A few tables away, she saw Kyd from the Toxic Skulls. She'd heard through the Punisher information network that he'd gotten his ass handed to him a couple days earlier, and she discreetly eyed him for any signs of this. |
"I see. Smart thinking, I doubt either the hunters or the police will be in the civilians good books after the last few days," Jayden notes before turning serious, "Raid, eh? I had never heard anything about raiding any of the skull bases till the radio call came in asking for back up, through take it the bandana officer was already there and didn't know he killed those hunters, thought they had been killed in the explosion."
Avalon was making a face at Makoto before tugging on Jayden's sleeve, "Stop flirting already," she demands, "I've already been sick once today, I don't need to hear your lame lines at picking up women on the streets to make me sick again." Chloe didn't mind Ashton excusing herself, she picks up her cup of coffee and takes another sip. |
Roland sighed as he took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes. "You can stay the night but I really hope you aren't thinking of finding a new base in this area." He slipped his glasses back on leaned forward to turn the tv on. "Might as well see if there is any updates on what has been happening."
~Event~ Televisions all around Tokyo broadcast a message from the Skull Hunter's leader. A dark figure propped behind a desk with a voice that was altered with a bit of a mechanical tone to mask the real identity of this person. The images that were broadcast were those of skulls being captured and transported to a facility located in New Tokyo. There was even images of skulls laying dead in the streets as a clear message for those who would resist. Nothing more then fear campaign, but one could not help but wonder. What was this facility they were taking these captured skulls and what were they doing to them? |
"Of course n-" Maki started, but paused when she saw the horrifying images on Roland's television. The empty beer container in her hand clattered to the floor. However, the room's temperature did not begin to rise, as it normally would when her anger would rise. Instead, the temperature seemed to drop a few degrees as her blood began to, quite literally, run cold.
|
Roland watch the tv for a bit longer before he looked at Maki. IT was clear that this propaganda message was having an effect on her so he turned the tv off. "Don't over react..." He picked up his drink and slowly brought it to his lips. "The place they take captured skulls is guarded by a small army of hunters." He said before taking a long drink and then crushing the can in his hand after he was finished. "And they aren't your normal runt of the litter that you see around here in the Old Tokyo district." Roland tossed the can behind him then stood up and stretched. "Even I would be killed if I tried anything there."
|
Makoto raised an eyebrow as she looked at the young girl, and then at the officer. "I never got your name, officer. I'd like to call you by name instead of just calling you 'officer'." She looked at the girl. "And if she's sick, she should take some medicine and rest."
Makoto placed her hand on her hip, and looked around before speaking again. "Let's talk about this at your place. I'd rather not have unwanted ears listening onto our conversation, nor do I want certain people dropping in on us either." She briefly thought to herself. Maybe I could get some information out of him. |
Harlie Mae Finn//Finn ~ <3
Harlie sipped her water that the waitress brought as Ashton spoke. She listened intently, taking in every word she said. After she finished she thought for a moment then asked, "When is this meeting?" Then she looked surprised and asked, "Wait, there was an explosion today?! Where?" She looked horrified. Just then she caught a glimpse of the TV in the cafe and turned her attention to that. She thought her heart stopped for a moment. All those dead skulls.. what if she knew them? She turned away from the TV, her anger and frustration growing with every passing second. She turned to Ashton again, "Something needs to be done." |
"She had not given a date but she wants to gather all the heads. I know she will work her way around which is idea for her to do I guess." as she looked over to the T.V. her hands going into small fist she knew whatever was happening she would need to be very careful of how she moved and how she would get to point to another. "I know something must be done but what can we do now? I mean the Leader of the Toxic believe we all need to work together which is one understanding but how with out others ideals and need to get in the way." she said to Finn
-- Vincent yawned as he leaped from roof top to roof top. To him it was better to travel that way then on the ground for now since it wasn't safe to do so as of right now. Crimson eyes looked about the area making a stop looking into the the window of someone home to catch the current news report. His eyes narrowed some hearing the information. "It seems like we will have to hide like rats for a while. . . .this is something I can't stand." growling some then went on his way to find the one person he wanted to speak with. |
Harlie Mae Finn//Finn ~ <3
Harlie was silent for a short while, lost in thought. She looked down at her glass and began to swirl the water around as she thought. Hundreds of thoughts clogged her mind at once. She shook her head and looked back at Ashton. "I agree. Even though we belong to separate groups, we're all going to have to battle these hunters eventually. It's only logical to try and team up, after all. Who knows what these people are capable of? Has the leader of Toxic said anything more to you about any of this?" |
"Jayden's the name," Jayden says as he shakes Avalon off his sleeve, "That sounds like a better idea than the office, not sure how many co-workers I would trust in the place and all her medicine is back at the flat anyway."
"I'm not that sick," Avalon wails, pouting, "Besides that witch was asking to be made a puke bag and I ain't on bit sorry about it either. She kept teasing me cause I miss too many days of School and had to be held back." Jayden shakes his head, "Just gotta love kids." he remarks sourly as he turns in the direction back toward the flat. The images on the television catch Chloe's attention and she grimaces over the cup of coffee at all the images of the dead skulls. Fear and worry more than anger fill her, if anything happened to her than what would of come of Avalon? There was no one in the faction who would want to take custody of a sick little girl, and she already knew her oldest room mate wouldn't want the custody. Yet, Avalon had affections for the newest room mate and maybe there was a small chance Jayden would be willing to take custody, Chloe knew he was an officer and that would be the best chance for Avalon in the long run. And there was a small shot he would know what was going on to. Spying a pay phone sitting in the corner of the cafe, Chloe stands up and makes her way to it. Pulling enough change out to make two calls, Chloe decides to call Jayden first than she would call Yamazaki to pass on the message. Plucking enough coins in, she punches in Jayden's cell number and listens as the cell rings. |
She seemed to come out of her stupor at Roland's words and shook out her chills. "Yeah, whatever. I take it you knew this was going to happen?" she asked. She flopped down on the couch Roland had just vacated, yawning lightly and shaking her head to dispel her weariness. "Do you think my guys will be alright?"
