Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 05:03 PM

That's my problem too-the lurking that is.

I lurk almost all the time .-.

I have one item so far .-.

Angel Spirit Girl 05-22-2012 05:23 PM

I sort of lurk, but then again I am on so many avatar forums that I bounce around trying to be sort of active in them all. So I end up mostly just active for events and other happenings unless I am questing.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 05:29 PM

I have a few websites.

I just rarely find anywhere to chat or anything on here.

katyasha 05-22-2012 05:46 PM

I need to get them before they are gone they look so cool

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 05:53 PM

I want them to hoard....and some that I like...like one of them that costs 50 DX

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 06:51 PM

There will be an announcement when the event is close to ending so you will know when to start scrambling. ;).

If you are short on ribbons, often people will start selling extras in the marketplace when the event starts to wind down or when they have all the items they want, so it's worth it sometimes to have a look there.

Quest threads also provide a handy place to chat. Many people talk there since there's not a lot else to do with a quest thread.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 06:54 PM

I usually don't buy event currencies. If I can't get them, I'll be the items later if I really want them.

And I barely even post in Jibber-Jabber

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 07:03 PM

I've never posted there. Not even sure what the thread is about. Start your own thead is you like (I know, lots of people say that). Sometimes the most innocuous thing can be quite popular.

Espy 05-22-2012 07:13 PM

Hoard...haha...the dragon behind you...

I try to hoard. I just end up getting too attached to all of my extra sets.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 07:15 PM

I always seem to hang onto one or two, "just in case," but in case of what I haven't figured out yet. I've given the odd one away to new people that weren't around for older events, but not sure I'll have many spares this time around.

Espy 05-22-2012 07:18 PM

Yeah, I just finished my first set today. Working on extras now.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 07:32 PM

Jibber Jabber is what I'd call the Chatterbox of Trisphee....except not as pointless....

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 07:35 PM

Ah. I see.

19 gold ribbons now. Getting closer to my Kylesti bundle. :)

Lucid: 05-22-2012 07:38 PM

I have 20 gold ribbons. *o* I need moooooar!

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 07:39 PM

I have 21 golden ribbons.

I'm saving up for the expensive ones. And now to water my plants again.

Lucid: 05-22-2012 07:59 PM

I'm saving up for all the ones I don't have. Which is all of them except one. D8

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:10 PM

Same here. But I'm starting with the expensive ones.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 08:12 PM

What plants to you have Yokuu? I used to be an avid gardener but haven't really had a plot for a while now. My last attempts weren't working so well but the plants weren't great to begin with. I got a Cyclamen plant for my birthday and another that my older sister spotted at the nursery when they were out, knowing I liked the first one. They seem to do alrigth in the meagre sunlit corner of the basement I live in.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:14 PM

I have three tomato plants...and they're in topsy turvys....one fell, but it survived and is blooming. I have an eggplant...plant? A squash and zuchini and two bell pepper plants (working on a poblano pepper plant)

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 08:26 PM

Ah. My sister has a small patio veggie garden, but she has a teeny tomato plant. Never tried my hadn with vegetables, though I would like to try strawberries one time. We had a patch in the garden where I grew up but they were never very prosperous. If we were lucky, we got around six or so. A little disappointing for a kid, but tastey. The alpine strawberries we had did much better but they are tiny and don't make for much of a dessert.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:29 PM

Mine are gigantic...except the one that fell and broke, but it rose from the ashes and has grown and has blooms. GO TOMATO PLANT GOOOO! XD

Did you feed them? Did you plant them at the right time? Maybe the soil/plants hated you .-. That happens sometimes.

Fauxreal 05-22-2012 08:32 PM

I'm here! I need some event currency. :D

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:33 PM

So do we all. I need a lot of ALL of it. I've only gotten one item so far .-.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 08:38 PM

The garden was my mom's and some plants don't like her much (Basil being one of them). She's an avid and experienced gardener, and I recall the strawberry spot not being the best. The potatoes did great there though.

I just have my two cyclamen plants, and looking them up online, they are either the most finicky or the easiest plants in teh world to look after. The trick is getting them to bloom again once they finish. The one plant has seed pods on it so I'm hoping to grow some new ones, just to see if I can do it.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:42 PM

Ah, well that's probably it. Plants need to be given a good spot compared to what they need.

What are cyclamen plants? -no clue whatsoever-

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 08:47 PM

They are tubules, like Irises. They basicaly grow from little potato looking things that sit a little way into the soil. The are neat lookign because their flower petals grow up, rather than out.

In the wild they grow in the mountains around Israel and such. They like cold, but the florists kind can't handle frost well. They bloom over autum and winter instead of summer and die back when it gets hot. Apparently if kept in good conditions, they can continuously bloom but I wouldn't know about that yet. Their leaves are two toned green, and there is a king that's ruffled, which looks a little odd to me. They are essentially houseplants.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:55 PM

So...are they just plants that look pretty? Or do they have other uses?

Not that pretty can't be a use...

Fauxreal 05-22-2012 08:57 PM

Plants?! My sister just planted a bunch! Mostly veggies.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 08:58 PM

Mine are all veggies...except for the tomatoes XD

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 08:59 PM

They just look pretty, but I like things that look pretty. And it gives me something to mind during the day, or week, as the needs are. The basement suite we're in is in dire need or re-organising so it's a little bleak and crowded looking right now. I like my flowers. :). My mom has her cacti, that are stubbournly hanging in there until we can get a sun lamp set up.

When I have a space of my own I imagine I'll try for a veggie garden, and some fruit.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 09:01 PM

I have fish. AND FOOD PLANTS! But they're outside. The fish are in here with me.

I think next year though...I'm just going to buy GIGANTIC pots for tomato plants and go from there.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 09:03 PM

I had a dog but he's gone now. Had to say goodbye last year. I like having something around. The snag with food plants on occasion is that I know a few dogs who will gladly eat them.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 09:05 PM

Aw. I'm sorry D:

I want a dog .-.

Eh, animals have left mine alone so far it seems...

katyasha 05-22-2012 09:08 PM

I have a black kitty and she is a hand for when she bouncing around but in all she kept me from going bonkers myself.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 09:12 PM

I used to feed a black stray cat a lot, but I never see him anymore. I hope he didn't get run over or anything .-.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 09:12 PM

I think the animals first have to discover that they can eat the plants. My brother's dog digs up carrots, and my sister's old dog used to jump and grab things off trees and eat berries off the bushes. It made for a small raspberry crop one year.

katyasha 05-22-2012 09:13 PM

I do something feed stays that come by the house but their food gets stolen by the raccoon that is living under the shed now.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 09:17 PM

Well, still, no animals are nomming on my food things yet.

I don't see many strays. They took all the strays next door almost...and we think they took my cat as well. This was years ago .-.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-22-2012 09:28 PM

I used to worry about someone stealing my dog, since he was small and quiet. Sweet boy, even if he looked pepetually indifferent to everything.

Yokuutsu 05-22-2012 09:31 PM

Seems like a good dog to me :3

Indifferent is much better than pissed off/afraid.
