Welp, I'm busy being stuck between this avi and the one camping out in my editor.
....Which is the polar opposite of my current one. |
pastel and cheerful?
|
Hi everybody! Zosa you look beautiful even though you don't have a face. Why don't you have a face? I've been meaning to ask.
I hope my inventory does not hit critical mass! But I think it is on the smaller side. |
i assume you meant before i went back to brown? XD
because it makes me different from everyone else |
Welp, this was the one that was the opposite.
|
it's the same though? what is different?
|
No, I meant as opposed to this one:

i never saw that avatar only the one you have been wearing the last few days
|
I...don't remember the one I was wearing before that one o.o;
|
well the one i have seen you wearing is your regular face and hair with a black outfit
|
That was just for today, I think o.o
|
well your previous avis have been some variation of the same, i have seen you wear it for at least the last three days maybe longer
|
I think before the Carnival one, I had the one for your brown contest.
|
hm.. maybe you are right?
so would you like to post with me there? now that it is brought up it would be nice to have it on the front page |
Espy, your carnival avatar should win. Hands down. My opinion.
Hmmm Zosa, having no face makes you different? That would mean that I am perceiving your avatar as YOU and I do not. What makes you different to me is your manner of speaking and relating to people. But thank you for answering the question. Usually I don't dig into why people do this or that with their avatars, I was just curious. ^_^ Do you ever use emoticons when you type out your messages? |
it makes my avatar stand out from other avatars. this avi is not a direct reflection of me in any way other than my preference for color and weight and iam willing to use colors i do not like so that is not true either
often actually, my most profusely abused is the 'XD' |
I agree with you on your stance regarding avatars. Mine is not me, just a thing I fiddle with as fancy takes me.
I adore 'XD'. That has got to be my fave. |
mine too XD it helps that i often have this face too when i talk
|
Haha! Me too! XD I do that a lot. My husband has learned to live with me at the computer grinning.
|
Uh. I side-eye a lot IRL, soooo >.>
|
Hehe, really, that is funny, I just tried that, lmao. <.<
|
*jumps into the convo* I love using emotes. XD
I finally got an emoji app for my phone... Now if I could only find the same awesomeness for my laptop (or at least easier access to emotes I should say) I'd be super happy. ^_^ So how's everybody doing? Hey, Uma! Quick question: Who's your favorite Doctor's Companion? You might have answered that a few pages back, but I didn't see it if you did... XD |
*Jumps onto Doctor Who tangent*
Doctor Who companions? Mark II K-9 :D |
I think I've only seen one episode with K-9. And it was a David Tennant episode, I think?
From what I've seen so far, Donna Noble is my favorite companion. <3 So spunky, lol. |
|
-drifts through- I wish we had more tails that actually worked. This one took forever for me to figure out, mostly because I only have one Dragon Lord and had used it for the horns initially.
|
That looks pretty good Espy. Though perhaps you could hide the juncture of tail and torso with a belt of some kind, just a thought.
Hi Kilala! My favorite Dr Who companion is Rose. Though I also liked Martha Jones a lot, she is a close second. Are you watching a bunch of Doctor Who episodes? How are you doing? Hey Lawtan, how goes it? What is everyone doing this weekend? I have a Hindi lesson tomorrow so I have to do some studying. |
Hm, avatars. I haven't changed my avatar in two years and I have no idea what any of the new items are. xD
To poke in on the Doctor Who chat, actually, Donna is my favorite companion. I of course like the romantic relationship 10 has with Rose, but I just love Donna's sass. After all, she is the most important woman. :P |
Hello Anonymous, welcome. I am Uma. I liked Donna, no doubt about that and I will grant you her great importance. However, he gave his life for Rose.
So I read you were a mod here back in the day. What made you come on back? :] |
Very true! I will agree that Rose was extremely important to him. Honestly, I hated Rose at first. But then when she left for a bit, I actually realized I did like her. A lot. xD But then again, I am just a really big sucker for any kind of romance.
And yes. I was a mod for a while. I have been around Trisphee since the beginning. I kind of lost touch for a while though after I stepped down. I got really involved in my own life and didn't have the time and attention for Trishpee that I used to. I decided to come back because I am finally getting things settled in my life and I really missed you guys. <3 |
I don't recall your username, I think I started here in 2010. I have left and returned a few times. ^_^
How is your evening, or night or day going? Tonight we are watching A Fistful of Dollars or at least my husband is watching. |
Well, glad to see that you come back! x3
I'm doing okay today. I had a rough night at work last night, and I will have an equally rough one tonight. And actually, I'm watching Doctor Who right now. xD It's on BBC. It's with the 10th doctor with The Master. Some of my favorite episodes. <3 |
I am sorry that your work is rough, what do you do? Mine gets rough insofar as I have some 24 hour shifts...5 times a month. *sigh*
I like most of the 10th episodes, most of the 9th and some earlier, but not so much the 11th doctor and latter episodes. There was too much Dalek stuff for me. Every episode was some crisis or other. Things being as they are now there seems little time for a quite cuppa and the Doctor. He is always moving and having adventures with lots of cgi. Not at all to my taste. |
Oh boy, that does sound rough. My actual job isn't hard, I work as a third shift manager at Sheetz (a gas station/convenient store/fast food place). But we just have a lot of problems keeping people. We can't ever seem to keep third shifts staffed because no one wants to work them.
I just lost one of my co-managers because she couldn't handle the stress of not having enough sales people to help us out. My actually job can be annoying at times dealing with all the drunk people on third shift, but I actually like my job. I just wish that I could find people to work at my store who felt the same way. What kind of work do you do? I can't imagine working that many hours... The most I have ever done is 16 hours straight, and 18 total in a day. (I got to go home and nap for like 4 hours) I feel the same way, actually. I was never a fan of Matt Smith. David is my man and I was so sad when his generation ended. |
@ Annie
I think the third shift is a difficult one for sure. In all of our millions of years of history and evolution we have little function at night. Our genes (I speak in a general sense) are programmed to take advantage of sunlight. Yet there is along the spectrum some people who are fine at night, who prefer the night. Looks like you are one of them? I am. I have a day job but I am going to look for a night job. I do something called remote intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring of evoked and spontaneous potentials. It's just a mouthful to say I interpret squiggly lines over the internet. Stuff like EEG. And I get to work from home. http://imgur.com/OFFzCko That is my set up. We used to work 32 hour shifts (if you were unlucky), but now it is 24 max and if you have a bad night you can sleep in. So I thought I would watch the original Doctor Who so I went and googled the first episode and watched it. Very different! I am going to watch the 2nd episode too as it is a 4-part pilot. I was not surprised to find it slower paced and of course there is little in the way of tech other than the TARDIS. Have you watched any of the really old ones? |
Honestly, I do not do well on nights and I've been doing them for 2 years. Any days I have off I end up falling into a first shift sleep schedule. I miss out on a lot because I have to sleep while my family gets together or whatnot. I either end up not being able to do things, or I have to leave early so I can take a nap before work. I mean, I manage, I just wish I had a choice in the matter.
That's crazy. A nice setup though. Do you like your job? It seems so much more important than mine. xD It must be nice to be able to work from home. I have watched a little bit of it, yes. It's on Netflix. I haven't watched all of the classic ones, some are a bit hard to get into, but I do have a great appreciation for them. |
i actually remember you, you greeted me when i first joined and chatted with me a little before you left
|
Yes, I do remember your user name. How are you? x3
|
Annie I wonder if I overestimate my ability to work nights. I thought hard about it yesterday. I am just not sure if I would like it or not but biologically I get a kick at about 10:30pm that energizes me. Idk, I'll have to think more about it. My job is important only in the sense that what we do helps to protect the patient from adverse outcomes. Our signals when they come from the spine can assist the surgeon to know if it is remaining healthy while he or she mucks about in there doing whatever it is they need to do. I do like my job except when it is really busy or when I am on call.
I watched the first Dr. Who and it was interesting, good in the sense of the old Star Trek episodes. But the second one was very slow paced and some of the dialogue was really repetitive. In short, I lost interest in watching any more of the first episodes. I might skim through them until I get up to the 80's and then watch some more episodes. So I do not recommend the very early ones. |
I think I would also hate to be on call.
I mean, working nights is AWFUL, you adjust, but it's hard sometimes because on your nights off, you're awake and you want to do something and everything is closed, and everyone is sleeping. The hardest thing is trying to schedule doctor's appointments, or get essential shopping done that can't be done at Wal-mart because nothing is open when you're awake. xD I would go when I get out of work, but that's at 7am and nothing is open then either. |
