Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 05:52 PM

Sure, that sounds fine.

And yeah, he'll be nice, or at least civil and respectful. He considers himself very "holy". (If the burning apparition of Christ with a sword extending from his mouth appeared before you and bestowed a holy scepter that can command the hearts of men on you, you'd probably consider yourself such, too. :P)

Espy 01-18-2013 05:54 PM

Hey, uh...what'd be his deal with people like Dante? I'm sure Fee and Dara will be fine.

Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 05:57 PM

I think Dante should be okay, he doesn't have any obvious spiritual stain on him, does he?

I shudder to imagine the chain of events that'll ensue if Na'lsa and Shealtiel get in range of whatever hi-tech bad-mojo sensors he doubtlessly has all over his city. :|

Oh, and, uh, we should park the APC far away, since Asasiah is still unconscious in it. Bad idea getting her anywhere near this guy.

Espy 01-18-2013 06:01 PM

Ok, whew. I'm too tired to think of a way to sneak Dante into the city.

Arikana 01-18-2013 06:05 PM

Okay, I'll get to work on that.

So what will the "evil" characters be doing in Thyatria? :o

Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 06:08 PM

I... am honestly not sure. O__O

Salone, any suggestions?

Arikana 01-18-2013 06:12 PM

Does anyone in the boat have any mastered illusionary skills to hide your "evil" auras? That could work if someone had those skills. P:

Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 06:22 PM

Considering that we just consumed Cain's spirit (and flesh)... it's likely we partially bear the Mark of Cain. Good luck hiding that. :P

Arikana 01-18-2013 06:38 PM

Yeah, okay, that'll take like dozen or more (probably more) master illusionists. Never mind. >w>

Suze, I meant to ask you if this was plausible, having Dante being able to control aura to some extent, gradually.

Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 07:05 PM

Sure, I suppose it'll work. Do you have any more details on where you'd like to take it?

Espy 01-18-2013 07:22 PM

Hm...Since aura is a bit like energy, maybe using his own as bullets or projectiles or some sort? And the related TK could be used as both offense and defense (Oh hey, there's something sharp behind you; let me just accelerate that forward through your skull). Like I said, I'd have to start relatively small and later let him be able to lift/topple more massive objects with TK.

I might also try to work a bit of first-aid into the aura thing...Aura-weaving as a way to staunch blood flow? The only healing method Dante has right now is bandages.

...I wonder if a body would reject someone else's aura.

Considering letting him draw on the aura/energy of other beings, but I'm not sure if I want him to have that kind of ability just yet.

Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 07:26 PM

Okay, how about we define "aura" as the general modified energy spectrum that exists in this world, so he'd basically be manipulating existing forces in the local area with small "pushes" to get them to do what he wants -- life energy, psychic energy, theuric, unholy, etc, as well as more conventional energy types, if you want. How does that sound for now?

Espy 01-18-2013 07:36 PM

Oh. That sounds about right, and is much more...concise. (Sorry, my brain is currently a mess of coding mush. I hate this class that I'm taking...)

I'm gonna get sick if I accidentally ingest the old man's aura.

Suzerain of Sheol 01-18-2013 08:03 PM

Well, I just figure it'll play into his general theifyness if he has to manipulate auras that around him, i.e. stealing their energy.

Salone 01-19-2013 01:49 AM

Oh man, you guys have been active while I was at work.

As far as us *ahem* 'evil' characters go for interaction, I'm not sure. I'm not even sure if Na'lsa even has an aura while Lev is in charge. Although with as many times as he showboats, there's bound to be a trace. He would be willing to risk walking in, but that's a plot train I hate to derail. Cry mercy and say even the demons want to restore Heaven to its former glory. As for Shealtiel...I do not know. As I am incredibly sketch as to how everyone else's powers work and do not work, I'm not sure. I would say after such an incredible display of power from earlier he might have experienced a burnout or complete disconnect from them for a while, but...that's the only convenient thing I can come up with.

Espy 01-19-2013 01:52 AM

Lev has a slight brown aura that's cut through with inky black.

Shouldn't there be side effects for stealing energy from people? Stealing something like energy can't be that easy and efficient, can it? :o

Espy 01-19-2013 02:09 AM

Side-effects? Basically I'm gonna be tired as fucking hell.

You know, he never did get a character bio.

Short: Na'lsa is a demon of gluttony that piggybacked on to Lev's soul.

Espy 01-19-2013 02:25 AM

That was an interesting read o.o;;

Basically, yeah, paining here.

(Also, they've been in the APC for weeks. I wonder if it's possible to shave with a switchblade, haha...)

Suzerain of Sheol 01-19-2013 12:42 PM

Well, just think about the modern amenities about to be afforded us! Indoor plumbing! Electro-theurgic lighting! Running holy water! Automatic grenade launchers!

As an aside, I've always wondered why most of the group acts like the internet doesn't exist. >_> That MID Shealtiel used to have was basically an iPhone (with a psychic radar app...), and the entirety of mankinds collected knowledge was saved and uploaded to the Amorpha, and even the less useful "entertainment" functions of the 'net have been largely rebuilt (by craven, pacifist artificers who refuse to put their talents to good use like manufacturing weapons of mass destruction...).

Point being: Shealtiel is so grouchy because Feenai's EMP grenade broke his ability to look up cat pictures. :P

Espy 01-19-2013 01:25 PM

Wouldn't running holy water just about kill Na'lsa? ...Or, least, make him cringe?

I don't think Dante ever bothered with anything similar to the internet because he couldn't afford when he could see and now just couldn't be bothered.

Salone 01-19-2013 03:02 PM

Lev's parents were relief workers in Kenya before everything went to crap. Not a whole lot of internet, unfortunately.

No need to apologize, that was actually fun to read. >w>

If it weren't for the fact that he's a cannibal and not real, I'd totally love to have him as a pet. He sounds so adorable! <3

Espy 01-19-2013 06:47 PM

We should make one day dress-up-as-your-Esch-character day.

I uh...already do that...

Espy 01-19-2013 07:11 PM

I know. I meant everyone.

Arikana 01-19-2013 07:23 PM

>w>

I dunno, we'll see if I wanna. I don't think I have enough Supernatural Supremacy items for all the scars on my char. >w> Or an item that shows burn scars either. >w>

Espy 01-19-2013 08:11 PM

Oh, here, I have a habit of making character sheets for groups of characters. I left out the ones who dropped, and hopefully I didn't forget or leave out anyone besides Ari and potentially Dolly.

It's not complete yet, and doesn't cover the Esch universe too well (there should probably be a category for psychic/magic-type, melee, healing, skill-based stuff).

Arikana 01-19-2013 08:32 PM

o_o Well, I can already see some areas my character would be in, plus also a lot more blank spots than filled ones. >w>

Quiet Man Cometh 01-19-2013 08:56 PM

Neat.

Reminds me, Dara doesn't actually have much of a reason for sticking around, apart from the fact that no one has told her to go away yet. She joined up as a tag along after patching up Michael. Now he's gone. She then patched up Andy, and not sure what's up with him right now. Right now I think in her mind it's more of a safety in numbers thing, Na'lsa aside.

I might need to do some character development here. At the moment Dara seems pretty unshakable, but that might be coming from a growing disconnect between what the world is and what it should be. "Oohh, there are minions of hell walking the streets. I guess I'd better put the car in the garage..."

Suzerain of Sheol 01-20-2013 02:01 PM

So... any volunteers for a post to get us moving?

Espy 01-20-2013 03:07 PM

Uh...if I had a better description of the place and what exactly people are going to be doing here, I could perhaps post something short.

EDIT: Also, all Dante's looking for currently might just be smokes, an actual bed, and real food.

Suzerain of Sheol 01-20-2013 04:16 PM

We have a bit of a hike before we get there, so really all we need at the moment is some walking+talking across the shore.

Espy 01-20-2013 04:39 PM

Hm, okay, I guess I can start something.

Arikana 01-20-2013 05:04 PM

I'm working on typing a post up for my character, I'll probably post it when the rest of you are near or have just arrived at Thyatira. :)

Espy 01-20-2013 08:05 PM

People need to possssst. -can't wait to start this up again-

Salone 01-20-2013 08:12 PM

I think we brought this up about a year ago (has it really been that long?!), how is the APC powered exactly?

Suzerain of Sheol 01-20-2013 08:24 PM

A wizard did it. Theurgic battery!
